Fun for a couple mid day runs. Great weather. Not sure what they will have next weekend, but i will give Vail some kudos for even being open. things are thin, nobody, and i mean nobody was there. From a past passholder point of view, Peak would close with a shit ton of snow, in March when day pass people stopped showing up, Vail has the place open, but skiing on/around grass at times. i remember skiing the Elevator with @phillycoreand @RidgeRacer on more than one closing days. Looks like alot of trails werent full width all season. if you could combine Peaks model on snowmaking, with Vail staying open later, like i mean skiing on some sketchy shit, you might have the perfect happy meal combo, with a toy. it is kinda sad to see the place just isnt the same it used to be.7 points

Brisket is in the smoker, so are the ABTs. Ribs about ready to be rubbed and put in the smoker. Pork tenderloins in the fridge ready to go. Turkey breast is injected and resting. Need to slice the steak. And make dessert. Think there’s a couple things I’m forgetting. They’ll come to me.4 points

Montage is closing tomorrow too. 100% of their proceeds on lift tickets go to benefit Ukraine.3 points

Just ended a sess at Blue with @Schif we cooked some eggplant parm, packed the car, and showed up at 7pm. We saw @mbike-skiand @MrsSnowBunSki In the lot. MBike only had 1 ski though… beautiful night. I thought ROTN was challenge. Schif thought ROTN was sidewinder. After skiing, I drank some leftover $9 wine and Schif had a breckenridge porter. Ended the night with eggplant parm in the parking lot. Solid night. Driving to West Pittston for the weekend. Passed the roller skating rink. Holy shit! That place is popping for 10pm on Friday.3 points

I'm bringing a 1 burner stove also. Other than heating up the sausage gravy it'll be available, I'll bring extra propane1 point

No lines, groomed spring snow at JF today. All main trails still open but thin and narrow enough cover that the rain coming tonight will likely change that.1 point

Awesome. Keep taking it today! Hopefully things will stay better.1 point

Semi trail report 3-18- fog all the way from Fleetwood until just before the Creek, magically cleared and no fog on the mountain. I didn't ski (really don't like spring conditions!) but the wife, kids and grand kids loved the day. First runs were reported as very nice spring/sugary conditions on the F chair side. They all skied until around 2:30 or so. Parks were nice per my son in law and everyone coming through B chair. Lots of hooting and hollering, lack of shirts and a general good time by all. Everything except Sasquatch open.1 point

Very fun late morning session. Saw Ben and Laws car so I waited for them at the bottom to start. Took a lift and run with them and they both dipped. The fog dissipated pretty much right after they left and the sun was on full blast for the remainder of the morning Figured I’d go for the Full Blue experience and hit every main run down from the quad. Today was my first run on Razors which I ended up doubling back to it was that much fun. I even hit Chute for bonus points. No lift lines and ended up calling it after 14 runs. Spoke with Root in the lot for a couple minutes. Once I got to my car it was the hottest I’ve ever been after snowboarding and was sweating like crazy. Sat in the lot soaking in the sun for a few minutes drinking some wooder and bounced. Car said the temp was 70 degrees outside.1 point

On the snow at 9 with a warm 25° and blue skies. Redeemed the Warren Miller tickets and didn’t even have to pay the $5 for the RFID card like the sign said. Lap on Delaware and then headed to the quad. Worked skier’s left to right hand finishing that side with 3 laps on Tunkhannock. Favorite run was Tunkhannock to Lackawanna Spur which wasn’t groomed. Upper Lackawanna was closed even though they blew on it last night. The firm cord snow makes you feel like a rockstar, especially on Lower Tunkhannock below the lift. No lift lines and ski right on. In for lunch now, Broken Heels and Chippewa Chicken sang before hitting the rest of the trails. No eating if your sitting at the bar, found out first hand.1 point
