  1. Had a blast today. A lot of PASR greats in the house, ate a lot of food, and the camera caught some non-mustard lens photos.

  5. Hey All, I’m back from a long day at Blue mountain the true mountain. I began with mimosas, egg casserole dish, pork belly and a bagel at 7:15am. Booted up a little after 8am and it wasn’t fun getting into my boot with my healing foot so I skied with it unbuckled. First pocket beer of the season as well. First run was lazy mile with root and PaRidge cause Root loves lazy and it was alright...definitely down tot the base snow which is fast and a little choppy. Sidewinder I thought was the best until the last section which was a bit cruddy. I thought razors was pretty bad, not very smooth so went back to lazy and sidewinder for more laps. Back to the lot and was a nice scene with a couple dozen PASRs and people from some other groups like ski instructors and Bethlehem fords guys homeys. I ate brisket, sausage, cheesy potatoes, salt block steak..had more beer. No dancing this year or karaoke...the weather was pleasant with temperatures in the upper 40s, increasing winds and a few sprinkles so the tent came up. Around 4 after an hour or so not drinking and trying to hydrate a bit I went to peace out and my car wouldn’t start. I’m guessing having my trunk open for like six hours straight burned out my battery and luckily Enjorales wife had jumper cables which will hooked up to indiggios car and my car started. Was a fun ski day and I’m more tired than normal. Highlights were the bedazzled skis JFDan made for toast and also BenMs homemade skis which were rad. Also Salty trying to get me to drink Yoo Hoo. 6. Fuuuuck today was soooo good, we had two kinds of experimental skis !!! As always Enjo brought straight fire, its the best food served in a parking lot anywhere bar none. My house is going to smell like farts all night which is a very high compliment. Massive props to JfDan and Benm on the custom boards, I loooooove that kind of thing and the all tips skied way better than I thought. We are getting the 84 lumber pro models on the hill. The snow was not good but irrelevant, on jorts alone we had so much fun and laughs. I'm sure Boo disagrees but it's almost scary how smokey and the bandit mute looks channeling his inner Burt Reynolds. Shit was soooo good I'm going to sleep, the highest jlaw form of flattery.

  14. Today was an absolute riot! Everything from the jorts to the various outfits and equipment. On top of it all was all the gourmet food prepared by the one and only @enjoralas and the creme brûlée to top it all off!

  27. Hope all are having a blast today. How are conditions looking at Blue? Thinking I may take off Tues to ski Blue if conditions are seeming decent still, or may head further north to Hunter. Open terrain at Hunter is dwindling though - only Hellgate, Cliff, Belt and White Cloud open off the top now.

  28. With last night's rain and more rain forecast for later this week, I am doubtful there will be much worth skiing south of VT pretty soon. Thinking of taking off Tues to ski either Blue or Hunter depending on how conditions look at each, while there are still options within day trip range.

  33. I did think about that actually but realistically how long/how many times can I head up to NEPA for a weekend and ski a smaller, less diverse mountain with slow lifts and really enjoy it? Montage was/is amazing if you live really close and can pop in after work, ski the whole North Face once and head back home for dinner. Not sure it's a week after week destination if you need to drive. My goal next year is to enjoy my weekends here in PA and do at least one decent sized western trip, maybe two.

  34. My thought is if you don’t have a Blue pass, it will dramatically hurt the number of days you ski next season. You have 11 days so far at Blue and I’m sure you’ll have a few more so this years pass was worth it for you even though you got off to a late start and were away quite a bit.

  35. I've been getting less bang for my buck the last couple years from my Blue pass, but by making the investment in the pass it makes me have an incentive to get out there at least once per week when I'm not traveling somewhere else. It would suck to show up and pay $100 bucks to ski there. If things are cranking in early December and they keep open all the way through you can make it really worth your while. The shutdown in mid-december and some family stuff cost me 2 or 3 valuable ski days this year. I have blue + Ikon for 2022-23 and I think its gonna work out great.
