  1. 80mph is child's play. @momskeeztoohit almost 200 mph earlier this year

  2. Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 8:45 and it was 36 degrees under sunny sky's. In the house were myself, @C1erArt and his brother in law. Third civilian quad. First run on razors was not too bad. The snow was a little firmer than I expected but it was not too granular like yesterday. Main Street was ROTD, well groomed til the bottom and a little softer. Chute was soft since its in the sun, midway good. Worst run was prob sidewinder, firm and had ridges from the cats. Went back to razors since it had time to warm up and it was very pleasant. Liftlines did not exist. Since I was alone, I doodled around and checked out the ramp for the pond skimming and did a run on NMDW to see if they had removed any of the obstacles on the lower part. They haven't. Plenty of snow on the hill. Almost all runs had full coverage. The ones that didn't hadn't changed much since yesterday. Lots of bare areas left unmarked (in particular, the cutover from razors to falls). Also, the connector from the quad to razors/paradise/etc is closed. Stopped at the gas station on my way home for stuff. Going to get back to work and then maybe clean up outside. Ski some of you tomorrow maybe. Get it in while you can because, Like will smith says, it's gonna be summa, summa, summatyyme before you know it. JADIP [photo of mtn from valley lot]

  3. Unfortunately, my last day of the season at Blue was yesterday. Working today and tomorrow. Then it’s gonna rain for 3 days. Leaving for Montana Saturday, so need to get ready for that. It was a great season, I have no complaints, they did a great job with the snowmaking and grooming.

  5. Rode with Atomic from 1 to 3, snow was legit hero spring snow. Super super soft jump off everything snow. Sun was shining hard but with the breeze it was perfect. Crowds were non existent and razors was still nicely smooth, we did that mostly as it was full speed effortless arcs, full grip and where you can go 75% pop off the lips. Challenge, TCS, side where all very very good but razors might be the best spring snow I've had all year. I would wager we are in for a spicy weekend, the perennial thin spots went fast and Challenge, side, NMDW, all are close to a fast grass section as the other angle/flat spots are thin and 10ft wide.

  6. I thought the run of the day was TCS. Smooth as a billiard ball going down to the orange room. Lapped TCS and Razors most of the day. Left about 12:30 when the snow was getting little mushy and my legs said they had enough. Days like this make me think I really do know how to ski (unlike yesterday when I was struggling).

  7. There is no sleep better than after PASR party day sleep..that’s when you know that 10 seconds after your head hits the pillow it’s lights out and it’s gonna be dark when you wake up and you don’t know what day it is and had a dream that you were playing a slot machines with your dad in Atlantic City in 2009...yeah weird wild stuff. What i like about party days is that other parking lot crews join the PASRs and enjoy some of Enjorales grate cooking as well...and people are like I learned how to ski when I was 28 or 40 and pops is like 59 for me and he was hitting the glades with PSUFlyguy two weeks ago and I give Flyguy props for the beer knowledge and the parking lot longevity he has. He’s the one with the tacklebox full of beer... benM is a gaper day rockstar!!! I’m a fan... Nastar Glenn was in rare..normal form. He let out a few yips and only had three beers..he’s not good at counting. MBike mike was licking the jelly from his pre third session jelly donut from the tailgate of his pickup truck after BenM found his missing ski. I arrived at 705am it was still dark and dirtWolf was parked in my parking spot in his chair in short shorts just enjoying the sunrise.. charles was in the Hiz Ouse with flashy gear... Jimmy was talking about how in the 70s you flashed a $20 bill to the ladies at the bar and they knew they were gonna have a good time. I didn’t ask if he went to high school with the Fonz because he probably would laugh super hard or tell me Henry winklers life story. momSkeez is a badass I’ve always known it but just stating the obvious. She’s like the Johnny Law of moms about to hit up Big Sky Montana partying it up at the top and bottom lots. Game recognize game.. Skiincy Nancy enjoyed the mimosas and the commaraderie...everybody loves her dog Wally.. Enjorales..rockstar got two sessions in on the slopes and eleventeen sessions on the grill or with the torch. Sent me home with a care package of two sausages and some potatoes. Passed on the Steezy cause hit that ratchlette to the max earlier. Antman..keeping the no haircut November alive..and housed the Yum Yum Boston cream between nap number one and nap number two last night. Had a bagel and a half thanks to C1 and put some of JFSkiDans baller egg bacon casserole on it for a Steezy sangwich.. If I had 10 cents for every time Salty asked me if I wanted a yoo hoo id probably have about tree fiddy. To be continued.

  8. Same dude says he can ski 50mph down Razors skiing switch. I don’t believe him and I wouldn’t believe Salty if he said his sonic hit 80 mph either.

  10. 3/27 is a decent closing date and their opening of 12/3 was better than average..12/3-3/27 is a pretty long season for eastern PA..yes they were closed probably 15 days during the season for rain and early season warmth and it barely snowed but still it did snow a few times and they opened trails aggressively when the cold spell took hold.

  11. Lo Que Dijo and salty said he hit 100 in his sonic. He just didn’t specificy if it was miles per hours or kilometers per hour...O’Doyle rules!!!

  13. A little teeth chattering until about 10:30. Last week I was trucking down the last head wall of razors, and got far right in the shade onto some untracked solid frozen cord while skidding the skis, and literally went blind for a couple of seconds because my eyeballs were rattling so much.

  14. Amazing afternoon w/ @Johnny Law....do whatever you can to avoid early AM skiing. The snow was butter this afternoon. Those pics from earlier look like that feet vibrating snow.

  16. I like the part about you doodling around. I’ll be out tomorrow AM..should be similar conditions. It’s nice that there’s still a decent base and you know what Toast says..its all about the base.

  20. Hey All, I’m back from a long day at Blue mountain the true mountain. I began with mimosas, egg casserole dish, pork belly and a bagel at 7:15am. Booted up a little after 8am and it wasn’t fun getting into my boot with my healing foot so I skied with it unbuckled. First pocket beer of the season as well. First run was lazy mile with root and PaRidge cause Root loves lazy and it was alright...definitely down tot the base snow which is fast and a little choppy. Sidewinder I thought was the best until the last section which was a bit cruddy. I thought razors was pretty bad, not very smooth so went back to lazy and sidewinder for more laps. Back to the lot and was a nice scene with a couple dozen PASRs and people from some other groups like ski instructors and Bethlehem fords guys homeys. I ate brisket, sausage, cheesy potatoes, salt block steak..had more beer. No dancing this year or karaoke...the weather was pleasant with temperatures in the upper 40s, increasing winds and a few sprinkles so the tent came up. Around 4 after an hour or so not drinking and trying to hydrate a bit I went to peace out and my car wouldn’t start. I’m guessing having my trunk open for like six hours straight burned out my battery and luckily Enjorales wife had jumper cables which will hooked up to indiggios car and my car started. Was a fun ski day and I’m more tired than normal. Highlights were the bedazzled skis JFDan made for toast and also BenMs homemade skis which were rad. Also Salty trying to get me to drink Yoo Hoo. 26. Yeah not for me but if someone is on the fence... They sure do know how to entice people with their pricing. Unrelated to Vail... I'm very curious to see what the power pass (snowbowl, purgatory, Brian head and others that I could care less about) looks like. That drops tomorrow. May be worth it if I make multiple trips to AZ next winter.

  28. Definitely a nice morning I think I was chair 4? One set of tracks before me on Razors. Hit coming soon next , oak leaves slalom up top the lower section was nice and soft. Bottom the patrollers were re setting up the trolling net . Nightmare and over to Barneys…. Bumps were mowed down as I expected and a bit of a detour around the bare ground. Wish I could have hung around longer

  32. Fuuuuck today was soooo good, we had two kinds of experimental skis !!! As always Enjo brought straight fire, its the best food served in a parking lot anywhere bar none. My house is going to smell like farts all night which is a very high compliment. Massive props to JfDan and Benm on the custom boards, I loooooove that kind of thing and the all tips skied way better than I thought. We are getting the 84 lumber pro models on the hill. The snow was not good but irrelevant, on jorts alone we had so much fun and laughs. I'm sure Boo disagrees but it's almost scary how smokey and the bandit mute looks channeling his inner Burt Reynolds. Shit was soooo good I'm going to sleep, the highest jlaw form of flattery.

  36. Fun for a couple mid day runs. Great weather. Not sure what they will have next weekend, but i will give Vail some kudos for even being open. things are thin, nobody, and i mean nobody was there. From a past passholder point of view, Peak would close with a shit ton of snow, in March when day pass people stopped showing up, Vail has the place open, but skiing on/around grass at times. i remember skiing the Elevator with @phillycoreand @RidgeRacer on more than one closing days. Looks like alot of trails werent full width all season. if you could combine Peaks model on snowmaking, with Vail staying open later, like i mean skiing on some sketchy shit, you might have the perfect happy meal combo, with a toy. it is kinda sad to see the place just isnt the same it used to be.

  37. Haha true. When you’re driving 3-4 hours round trip every time, it makes you factor in other details. i thought about doing another month Airbnb rental in Utah for like $1000 and skiing on the Ikon again. But I’m likely switching jobs so I’m not sure how entirely flexible their “unlimited pto” is. So I opted against being a vegabond skier again. 🤷🏼‍♀️

  38. I would probably be more analytical about where I ski if I had to drive distances like you and others do. I'm definitely lucky where I am with a bunch of decent places within 60 minutes. Blue 10min, Shawnee 40min, Scamelback 40min, Bear Creek 50min, JFBB 50min. And then there are a few great easy day trippable places as well.

  41. Finished up our time in Taos today and we had a great trip. Snowed 1 or 2 inches overnight which was a pleasant surprise and after 3 really warm days it was a little cooler on Friday. I skied with my kids all day Friday after they had done ski school for the first part of the week. They absolutely rip now and are going to pass me soon. Took them down Al’s run for the first time and they were both talking about how easy it was. Stepped it up after that to their first Taos double black (west blitz trees to spitfire chute to west basin) and they navigated it perfectly. Kids at top of Al’s kids skiing Al’s little man entering spitfire chute Daughter in west basin son in west basin son and I on Al’s
