Hell of an effort by blue this year. A full 4 month season despite only 1 month of winter. Props and thanks to blue, especially the snow makers!10 points

I am but as someone who skied there and taught there for years I'm excited that it's finally becoming a reality for them. Much overdue5 points

Is blue ever going to build a new valley lodge? I agree their early season stuff all spills onto midway. In the low light midway is often under its hard to see all the bumps that form from everyone sliding to a halt at the bottom. I would think their snowmaking should be powerful enough to open top to bottom right away. These new lifts at JFBB are going to feel like a high speed compared to what they are replacing.3 points

Hey All, It’s almost another weekend...a bittersweet closing weekend at Blue mountain the true mountain but it’s been quite a good ski season despite about 15 rainstorms and tropical heat waves intermixed with some winter. Is anybody gonna be at Blue mountain this weekend? Looks like maybe some showers on Saturday and cloudy sky’s on Sunday but you never know..maybe the sun will come out. It should be a fun one with variable conditions and cold beer.2 points

Hey All, I’m back from my final weekday session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 8:35am and it was in the low 40s with fog on the lower mountain and sunshine on the top half. In the house were Atomic Jeff, C1er, Tele Matt, Charles, Johnny Law, Jimmy, Bethlehem Ford Guy and some other regulars. First run on lazy started out ok then was ski by braille lower part. I skied that again then hit up paradise which was alright until right before the sharp corner then into the fog. Coming soon as seeded bumps on the left side top to bottom..even on the inrun which will make anybody look like Johnny Mosley on that 10 degree pitch. The groomed part of coming soon was decent. Sidewinder I enjoyed the best and skied that the last three runs..it was semi spring snow, just starting to corn up. Back in the lot it was in the low 50s and I hungout for about 40 minutes and had two beers. Today was Atomic Jeff’s last day of the season at Blue as he’s going to Colorado tomorrow and Charles last day as well as he’s leaving for Nashville later today. All in all despite the fog it was a solid session. Ski most of you this weekend..dress warm.2 points

Jack Frost is better than Blue during early season. They both run slow lifts, so that's a wash... but Jack Frost has more than one top-to-bottom trail open, unlike Blue where skiing a congested Midway a billion times gets monotonous. Obviously Blue is better once they get the Valley open, but JF it is for me the first few weeks of the season.2 points

I'm assuming they are replacing the double doubles? Nothing wrong with a fixed grip quad on a 600 and 400 vert hill.2 points

Stop. That's exciting news and good for skiing in our area. No mention of those lifts being high speed though.2 points

Have you ever wanted to own a ski area, it’s a lot of work but for some it’s very rewarding and the juice is worth the squeeze. Brodie mountain in Massatwoshits is for sale. https://www.google.com/amp/s/unofficialnetworks.com/2022/03/24/for-sale-massachusetts-ski-resort/amp/1 point

If all 2,662 PASR members contribute a mere $713.75 each we will own this place.1 point

Vibes to Dirt and BenM, heal up quick +++++++ I'll be there both days with bells on1 point

It was tough skiing, hard uneven snow and big brown outs that keep switching sides. It must be tough to groom as they had left big strips of debris. Switch is probably the worst out there. Upper main was 60% riding the bull, lower was good especially the left side in the sun. Best I thought was side but overall it was just super nice to be out and I wouldn't have missed it if it was all dirt. Once the fog lifted it was mad nice out and coverage is much better than I thought it would be earlier this week. Bump dudes have all of TCS but you know they'll be setting all weekend on razors or something too 🤣🤣1 point

Definitely be there both days. Cooking is unlikely, though I’m tempted to bring the raclette warmer out for another round1 point

I have a couple minutes before my 1pm appointment so might as well make some more additions to this thread. Spanakopita was bomb as always..like three different crews enjoyed it. NMSki was missing but there in spirit let’s hope he’s out this weekend. Toast was very giddy, was a normal ski day for GSSucks cracking a cold American beer at 7something in the AM. Root was there got to follow him down lazy mile. The root he takes is more like a mile and a half lol. Customers here TBC1 point

At party day, I was chatting with @Johnny Law So i made these for pond skim day and jammed out to Here Comes The Sixers while painting 🎶 As unofficial pasr judges of pond skimming…. 1) does anyone want numbers? should I make another set? 2) do I add glitter? … and if we don’t get to use them for pond skimming, I’m just going to hold them up to rate @GrilledSteezeSandwich’s dog jokes or @enjoralas’s cooking 🤷🏼♀️🎉1 point

I'm out for this weekend... For those of you who witnessed my tumble on Tuts behind the line of groomers last Sunday, it may have resulted in some knee issues. Saw on orthopedic doc on Monday and was recommended to get an MRI and see a surgeon. Hopefully nothing that major but figured better safe than sorry.0 points
