Really nice! Builder has about 2 more weeks of finish work that he will bust out when I leave for the weekend. Been coming up last few weeks to move stuff in. It’s so quiet and peaceful up here. I don’t have to see people if I don’t want to which I admit is nice sometimes. Tree guy has a few more days of clean up scheduled. And is going to cut this huge pile into firewood for me.5 points

The big retaining wall and open space by Comet Lift was for a storage rail - they just never went back and added the rail itself. Neither current detach has a chair shed yet, but Ops really wishes they did some mornings.2 points

Go to Whiteface. Parking is free there...and you'll save on gas $$ too.2 points

Did you pick it up? You should start collecting cans you see to turn in and pay for your parking at Stough.1 point

Do you have a ski rack? I think your car seats five men so I call middle of the back seat of the SaltySubie between Matt Edge and @Dirtwolfand @RidgeRacercan sit in the front seat and he’s in charge of the music, yoo hoo and fruit by the foot.1 point

Who is coming with you, me and Matt Edge when we go to Stowe this winter? We need a fourth person in the carpool to avoid the parking tax.1 point

I love a good conspiracy but maybe Leitner Poma did one of the other lifts and this is the way they distinguish it from the other one? I'm surprised it's not labeled as the lift name. Or a lift number1 point

I saw something and I feel like I am reading into it way too much but can't shake it. Notice the 'project'. Why would it specify the side? Why not just 'blue mountain'. I can't see it being instructions for where to dump the spool. Im wondering if the Vista chair will be coming down - just not until next season. Blue, if you're reading I will pay you $$$ for that spool after it's unwound1 point

I'm so triggered by Stowe!! I mean, imagine if Blue Mountain added on a $450 season parking pass for season pass holders who already had to pay $649. I wonder if this site would be up in arms, or if everyone would gladly pay and perhaps even offer double for the season parking pass???1 point

I think they definitely still intend to expand east. In the board meeting where they discussed buying that farm a few years ago Barb mentioned they wanted to add slopes over there. A hotel is going to happen of course. I think with KSL in charge it’s likely to go at the base. I get the feeling Barb was super emotionally invested in having it at the top and KSL is more likely to go with common sense. Will probably have an indoor waterpark unless they think the market saturation is too much and it would cannibalize Camelback too much. I’ve got even money odds on a mountain coaster next year. That a quick, relatively cheap addition. I wonder if there are any mountain coasters that load at the top then cart the rider back up to unload? Seems like that would be the most logical way to set it up and lump it in with the Summit Adventure stuff, unless they add more base activities at the same time.1 point

@saltyant keep an eye on rainfall totals. An inch or two of rain will be good for the snowmaking ponds.1 point

Dang, I was hoping for lengthy filibusters and passionate diatribes from rugged mountain men with long beards who will spread the word of this travesty and maybe start a worldwide movement to boycott Epic Resorts. The big question on everyone's minds today is whether @Ski2Live Live2Ski would buy a season parking pass if he lived near Stowe??0 points
