It's a very unique joint... The architect who designed it always wanted a yacht. So he designed as such and stood it on end. There are 4 levels with 2 bedrooms, a loft, 2 bathrooms, small kitchen and dinette. A living room built around a central wood burning fireplace, and a small utility room. There is also a one car garage which is used for firewood, ski, and snowblower storage. Ships ladders(steep) connect the 4 levels. The entire interior is trimmed in mahogany and knotty pine, the bathrooms are tiled. There's also a mirrored ceiling above the captains' quarters bed. The architect was a bachelor and I've heard stories of crazy coke fueled parties held there in the early 80s.. All cabinets and beds are built-ins and the only extra furniture is one chest and the sectional in the living room. There's about 1200 Sq. Ft. of living area. And it sits on a 2 acre, completely wooded, sloping plot of land. There is no summer mowing of grass... sorry Toast. š4 points

They're definitely giving it hell on Homestretch/lift area now. Both of the new guns pointed at the OG6 are ripping, and it looks like they have a portable gun over by the construction area pointed back toward the lift as well.2 points

The suburban sprawl seems to start south of rt 563 . I try to avoid the area unless I have tons of altitude. Practice your power off landings , You could set her down on the top level parking deckš2 points

Speaking of zee lights...I drove past last night and noticed that they added the new white lighting that they put on coming soon last year all the way down lower paradise into home stretch. There's still plenty of shitty orange lighting however it appears the days of orange lights may be coming to an end. Not gonna lie the whole mountain covered in the new white lighting probably gets me more excited than the new lift.2 points

Youāre welcome and anytime. I sometimes think Blues operations team reads this forum for suggestions. Opening with Paradise and Freebird was actually my idea.1 point

Maybe one day I will fly over at 8:03 or whenever you guys get to the top and can film you skiing down Challenge. Blue can ban drones but they can't ban aeroplanes.1 point

I would figure drive to Catskills probably costs an extra $40 in gas/tolls in addition to taking an extra 2 hrs and putting more miles on car. if I was going solo it would only be worth it if I felt it would be a better ski experience. Would feel otherwise if bringing kids.1 point

No brainer if it wasn't WROD season, where we'll be done skiing in 2-3 hours... But there are some great places for a later lunch in the catskills, so we'll probably do that....1 point

I intended to but just couldn't find it. I saw a puff of smoke and flew towards it, but it wasn't Bear Creek. I assumed they have been making snow and that it would be super easy to spot, as I used to see it all the time when practicing around the Kutztown area. So I guess they aren't making any snow.1 point

Getting old sucks hopefully the excising will keep me back in shape , I've been feeling a lot better lately . AZ will be a test run , not expecting any bumps .1 point

oh, then you missed the time when we were in line and all of a sudden the counterweight jumped 2'. No joke. I forget who else was there, but at least Jlaw. and then of course for some reason we both still got on it.1 point

I drove by on my way home from work and indeed the two side pieces of the upper terminal looked to be in place... If it's done by Christmas does that make it a Christmas miracle?1 point

i assume you have given up on this idea. Mute had some insider info. Whether it was good info or not, at this point dates dont really matter much. Personally if i was running this little project, i would put it into overdrive. Having it snow while trying to work on this thing, well i would think it would be pretty miserable.1 point

So my tree guy absolutely flaked out on me. Contracted him to do finish work back in August including splitting all my cut trees into firewood. He told me a week ago he couldnāt do it until spring. Everyone sold out of firewood around here so my husband and I decided to try and tackle it ourselves. pile available logs on left are from 2 summers ago and ready to be split. I wasnāt brave enough to try the chainsaw. But I did split some with the axe until I kind of missed and almost hit my foot. My husband split about 1/2 of what we cut with the axe. I also bought a log splitter. I admit, log splitter was very satisfying We worked for 5 hours with a small break and I donāt even think we got a cord done. There was a large rock in the wood pile that husband hit. So we canāt do any more till he sharpens the blade.1 point
