Fixed it for you. Powder mountain is on the Indy pass and has 8464 acres of skiing which is the most in the US.2 points

Announcing a new PA add to IndyPass tomorrow. Will Camelback become one of the cool kids?2 points

IndyPass is adding another PA downhill resort tomorrow. Who will it be? Can't be any of the 7 Epic ones and they already have Montage, Blue Knob and Shawnee My order of preference: Elk Blue (unlikely) Camelback (unlikely) Bear Creek Big Bear Spring No way I would even bother with any of the other 5. Also adding a NY one - hope it is Plattekill2 points

I’m sure there’s just nothing there yet. Either they will plant some trees, or plant some snow fencing. I’m betting they just haven’t done it yet for access.1 point

I am glad to have both as NE Indy mountains are generally a lot less crowded than the NE Epic ones. Jay is probably their most big league Mt, at least in the East.1 point

Indy adding a new PA mountain tomorrow. Elk would be my first choice - fits the Indy vibe nicely with all fixed grip lifts.1 point

They have a couple of test gates inside the lower lodge this year, which is awesome. One of my two kids' passes didn't work at the test gate on Friday, (I wasn't binging them up until Saturday so tested ahead) and when I went to the Customer Service counter they said it was showing he had a pass but needed a picture. I was sure happy to know that ahead of time instead of at the gate.1 point

Some of the pass shit is soooo stupid, like you need a skiing pass matrix to consult before heading out. Post Thanksgiving can be busy but not at the beav and everything is becoming planned the fuck out. You can't do random anymore without 170000 hoops to jump through.1 point

The only thing I think I actually worry about is will my pass work at blue ? Every year that first scan feels like gambling but I'm hopeful this year I don't need a note or at least they get me a badge...... maybe nastarglenn could hook it up1 point

Not looking promising this week. Hope the turn to wet and warm doesnt interfere with my hope of taking girls to start their Skison on Sat at Shawnee.1 point

I had pass issues the first day but they were easily resolved. I felt like the card readers were extra sensitive..a few seasons ago I redeemed a buddy pass and then my pass didn’t work and it was so tough for them to figure out that they made me a whole new season pass. I hate having to go in there because it’s a sauna in the lower lodge. On topic have to give an honorable mention to Johnny Law who skied for a few days on a handwritten post it note.1 point

It was a fun time and felt great to be on the slopes. Unfortunately had pass issues and had to go to guest services twice. I ended up getting 8 runs in…4 on coming soon and 4 on paradise. A few 5 minute waits at the quad, and another time it broke down for 5 minutes. Conditions were better than I expected…I figured it would be bumped up everywhere.1 point

On a day like today the decision to drop 4 hour tickets is a real detriment. They’re not gonna sell a ton of 8 hour tickets with the rain coming, but they could have opened for 6 hours, sold some 4 hour tickets and only had to run one 8 hour work shift.1 point

They’ll be open Friday-Sunday and have plenty of base and you know what they say it’s all about the base.1 point

today wasnt quite as nice as yesterday, but happy to be skiing this weekend, and really happy to be in the Valley for opening, so i will give Blue a break for closing tomorrow. im gonna bet they didnt sell a ton of day passes either day. it didnt seem like the usual crowded opening weekend, but maybe its just because they opened with more terrain, and more lift capacity.1 point

Incredible opening weekend. Huge props to blue for being able to open with the amount of terrain they did. Rain stopped yesterday at about 915(?) and was spring conditions for the rest of the morning. So fun. I thought conditions were good today as well. Little scrapped off? Sure. But still able to grab an edge and carve. 10/10 opening weekend. PS @enjoralas, Pops and I got first chair and didn’t have to wait at 830😂1 point

Short of finally getting out to ski, today was nothing to get pumped about. Was strangely reminiscent of closing day conditions and a great reminder as to why I dislike night skiing. Things werent too scrapy/icy but it was a little slushy. Lower paradise was like a mini mogul field. Also, my legs were on fire.1 point

sounds like nice 1st day. Belleayre was also soft, spring condition snow. 5 ways down the mountain...incredible opening day in Nov really.1 point

The only Indy I care about is Indiana Jones part 5 coming in the summer of 2023. The franchise needs serious redemption after the debacle that was Crystal skull.0 points

#epicpass did me dirty today! Lol I wanted to stop somewhere and ski on my drive to Marble. Thinking over my options I imagined long lift lines everywhere. Since I was solo, I just wanted to do some laps. Then it hit me; Beaver Creek! Nobody does day trips from the front range. I checked their website and they had 2 high speed quads running, perfect! As I passed the exits for WP and Copper I was patting myself on the back for such a smart decision on my part. I was at BC one time 10 years ago, I forgot how fancy it is. Pull up to the gated community it is and ask the attendant to direct me to the free parking. She informs me there is no free parking at Beaver Creek, of course there isn’t. My options are a $10 lot near the gate I have to shuttle from, or for $5 more I can park in the garage at the base. No brainer. Getting ready I think how fast a person could get soft booting up in a heated garage. I emerge at the base to find plenty of people in fancy ski outfits sitting around fireplaces drinking hot totties. Nobody seems to be on the snow, again, perfect. I go inside to have my epic pass printed and the guy says my pass is restricted. When he sees my confused face he elaborates further, it is a blackout holiday and I only have the epic local pass. Never would I have thought to check the website that a day in Nov would be blacked out. I felt like a complete dope. Out of principal I could not buy a day ticket so off I went. Hopefully I can hit it on my way back to Boulder.0 points
