  2. Hey All, I’m back from a fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived around 830am and it was about 35 at the upper entrance and 30 in the valley. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Dirtwolf, Johnny Law, PARidge, Rodney, Gary, Jimmy, C1, Harold, Bethlehem Ford Guy and a handful of others. There was a pretty long line at the quad for the opening Bell, I know some thought Blue was opening at 8am and the website this morning still said 8am. First run on Coming soon and it was decent…not perfect but fairly smooth and together. Lower paradise wasn’t bad but got more loose as there was a lot of skier traffic and burns was nice and empty. Skied a solid 6-7 runs then hungout in the lot for about a half hour drinking water and now back at work for quite some time as I have a 4pm appointment. ski everybody tomorrow. JADIP Also coverage held up extremely well…and they were also splicing the cable for the lift. There were about a dozen men in a Congo line at the bottom of the lift. Some jackholes parked in the closed construction area so they had to put a sign out saying no parking in that area.

  3. Conditions were fairly similar to what they have been this season. Coming soon was good and held it's own. Lower paradise turned to cement and seemed to be getting worse by the run. Saw lots of people down... especially in the flat light areas. What was cool however since I was skiing at the 10:30ish, 11 o clock hour today (which is rare) I got to experience sun on lower free fall which made meant getting a bit more speed than usual which was quite nice. Glad I got turns today because I'm away tomorrow and Sunday. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

  6. Shit was good, super nice sun and blue skies plus there was snow for sliding. The lower headwall pitch on Coming Soon is always dark af though I don't remember it that way last year so maybe I'm having a stroke

  9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTB96iyLrLM&ab_channel=Sbob Arizona snowbowl 11 28,22 I had a thanksgiving visit planned to see my son and family in Az . They were going to be spending time in Flagstaff, so……..why not ski! I had been in touch with Raisingarizona13 from New York ski blog, I was looking for some mountain information as he’s local for 20yrs . He decided to come and ski with me, I was thrilled as I subscribe to his YouTube channel, and know he’s got top notch skills https://m.youtube.com/@raisingarizona13 he turned out to be a really awesome guy and fantastic skier, along with being a great tour guide. So many things could have gone wrong with my trip . I’m dealing with some chronic back issues and wasn’t sure how the ski season is going to unfold. Got to Flagstaff late Saturday ,Took a trip to the South rim of the Grand Canyon on Sunday .Monday I had planned on skiing Arizona snowbowl “for a few hours 🙃” but the wind forecast was very concerning as to being gusts of 60 miles an hour plus for Monday. The winds were ripping pretty good at our hotel Sunday night. Monday turned out to be a little less windy than I expected but figured the mountain would be blowing pretty hard. RA said probably by mid morning things would be on wind hold . When I got to the parking lot at 9 am things were actually relatively calm . Putting on my ski pants before I even made it to the ticket window I had a back spasm and was feeling pretty down. I walked around a little bit and it subsided. Got my ticket and rentals and took a warm-up lap to get used to the unfamiliar equipment. I met up with Raisingarizona13 and it was off to the races he’s a fantastic skier and loves to smoke the groomers we had a great time. I don’t recall how many TTB laps we did before we decided to have beers at the gondola base. It was sunny and calm. After a beer we were back at it again the sun softened up the snow a bit on the steep spots that had been a bit spicy . Before I knew it it was 2 o’clock ,so much for a few hours. My back was feeling great as I headed back to the base lodge. 2022/3 Day one , Best season start for me ever! The mountain is just shy of 2000 vertical feet. It has really good sustained pitch . They don’t groom a lot of trails, there’s a number of glades that look interesting. The views are spectacular and almost worth the price of a lift ticket. I’d love to return, and take advantage of all the potential.

  10. I really want to get to the Az Snowbowl. Be cool to ski there a couple days. Rent a car, drive to Phoenix, then fly to Utah for more skiing. 😎

  11. I’ve done double dip sessions a few times where I skied the fresh cord in the morning and then came back late afternoon/evening due to an incoming snowstorms and that’s still only counts as one ski day. Salty me, Law, Dirtwolf and AtomicSkier were called out for not being in front of the line at rope drop…might have been a half dozen chairs back maybe more.

  13. Not really. I waited maybe 3-4 min max. Only quad running. I don't have the energy to elaborate on the rest.

  21. Good to hear about the coverage. I was definitely concerned with the warm rain and fog that we've had over the last few days but Blue seems to be on top of things which is nice. Hopefully some sustained cold weather sooner than later... See you all in the morning!

  22. I feel like the last one is doable. Jeff could be the guy in the background. Nice seeing you guys for 10 seconds today BTW. Would've came earlier had I known you were here

  25. @RidgeRacer if I ran Blue mountains social media I’d give you exclusive access behind the scenes since you’re the founder/editor/content creator/illustrator and CEO of PASR the magazine. Maybe I can even get you a gig doing photography for the men of PASR calendar. The ladies on here including @Barb@Zonked@nancylong@skiincyand @momskeeztooall get free calendars. I’m gonna be July for my birthday.
