They are still blowing on lower main, lazy, midway and tubing and it almost has to be too warm. Piles on lazy and lower are mid deep, it goes for sure this weekend.
They resurfaced everything last night, upper dis was a mine field of cookies but the rest had a decent softness. BFG and crew said yesterday was le tits and forecasted a high likelihood of le tits tomorrow morning but today was a Ridge 10/ Jlaw 6 kinda snow.
I love seeing those snowmaking cannons blast. What a nice little recovery and terrain expansion Blue is having. Tubing will be ready they better have plenty of cocoa
I would bet that we will have another 1 1/2 ways down the mountain this weekend. Decent amount of snowmaking temps over the next few days, and then of course it gets warm when the precipitation moves in.
Very excited for this weekend.
Freefall was nice - a little chewed up at the bottom, but a lot of marbles on Paradise. Burma was OK, and even rode up on Vista a couple of times to enjoy the nice snow above the lodge.
$65 to ski 3 trails for 90 minutes, that's bananas. If they had a Blue light special like K-Mart perhaps their supply and demand would reach equilibrium.
Nobody home, total empty bleachers and seemed more like pre covid mornings with just the coffee crew.
Someone said they have no ticket deals so people are staying away as the price isn't worth current conditions

Curtze may have a trail named after his cabin, but you have the Mount Steezy trail named after you as certified by the official plaque.
I found out the reason for the new trail name Curzis Cabin. A man named Curzi has a cabin and property on the other side of the overflow lot at Blue and Blue has been trying to buy that land for years and Curzi finally sold the property as long as Blue named a trail after him.
Apparently the plan is to turn the tubing area into a learning area, extend Main Street onto the current learning area and move tubing across the street.
Comparing Blues lift, with access to both the base and summit VIA a parking lot, and an access road is kinda different than thunder at JH, and i assume Abasins lift isnt quite as accessable as Blues, is a little skewed, no?
The problem is that we’ll get alot of the camelback people at Blue especially early season and it will make Blue more crowded so I oppose that idea. If you want to ski camelback you get a sweet 20% discount with your Blue pass.
The epic pass is only good at crappy PA places.
