  1. Hey All, I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 7:17am and it was in the mid 20s with a rising sun and light to moderate winds. First civilian quad with BenM, Atomic Jeff and JFDan. Also in the house were Toast, Mixilplix, Indiggio, Gary, Gary, BethlehemFord crew, Matt Edge and Root. Coming soon was pretty slick but not terrible and lower paradise was better than yesterday. Upper paradise had very nice groomed snow almost a western groomer and lapped that a few times. Lazy mile wasn’t great but the falls skied better than yesterday. Lower raceway was still firm mini cookies, midway was alright and lower Main Street they blew water on so not that good. We even ventured to Burma which was mad technical yo..all ice and cookies. Crowds today spilled in a little more quickly than yesterday but still less than weekdend crowds at least in the morning. I hungout in the lot for about an hour and enjoyed the sunshine and some beer now back at work and have five new voicemails. JADIP

  7. looks like just about everyone in the house right now . . . Lined up outside the gates, but lots of room inside, looks like they are pairing up chairs. Digging those lines at the school triple and the carpet!

  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTB96iyLrLM&ab_channel=Sbob Arizona snowbowl 11 28,22 I had a thanksgiving visit planned to see my son and family in Az . They were going to be spending time in Flagstaff, so……..why not ski! I had been in touch with Raisingarizona13 from New York ski blog, I was looking for some mountain information as he’s local for 20yrs . He decided to come and ski with me, I was thrilled as I subscribe to his YouTube channel, and know he’s got top notch skills https://m.youtube.com/@raisingarizona13 he turned out to be a really awesome guy and fantastic skier, along with being a great tour guide. So many things could have gone wrong with my trip . I’m dealing with some chronic back issues and wasn’t sure how the ski season is going to unfold. Got to Flagstaff late Saturday ,Took a trip to the South rim of the Grand Canyon on Sunday .Monday I had planned on skiing Arizona snowbowl “for a few hours 🙃” but the wind forecast was very concerning as to being gusts of 60 miles an hour plus for Monday. The winds were ripping pretty good at our hotel Sunday night. Monday turned out to be a little less windy than I expected but figured the mountain would be blowing pretty hard. RA said probably by mid morning things would be on wind hold . When I got to the parking lot at 9 am things were actually relatively calm . Putting on my ski pants before I even made it to the ticket window I had a back spasm and was feeling pretty down. I walked around a little bit and it subsided. Got my ticket and rentals and took a warm-up lap to get used to the unfamiliar equipment. I met up with Raisingarizona13 and it was off to the races he’s a fantastic skier and loves to smoke the groomers we had a great time. I don’t recall how many TTB laps we did before we decided to have beers at the gondola base. It was sunny and calm. After a beer we were back at it again the sun softened up the snow a bit on the steep spots that had been a bit spicy . Before I knew it it was 2 o’clock ,so much for a few hours. My back was feeling great as I headed back to the base lodge. 2022/3 Day one , Best season start for me ever! The mountain is just shy of 2000 vertical feet. It has really good sustained pitch . They don’t groom a lot of trails, there’s a number of glades that look interesting. The views are spectacular and almost worth the price of a lift ticket. I’d love to return, and take advantage of all the potential.

  14. I thought today was prob one of the better days condition-wise all year. Only a cpl sketchy spots. I liked that the sun was out afterwards. It was nice for lot beers. Afterwards, I dropped off my trash and got Chinese food, 8/10. The card reader wasn't working right, so I paid a crisp 20 for my $21 tab since they wanted me outta there.

  19. True, sometimes Blues logic seems.....off, but snowmaking comes to a brisk halt here sometime this morning for what looks to be a while. So, maybe just running on whats about to open, to build it up makes some sense. Hopefully there is enough down on NMDW to get that open. i think upper main should be good to go, and it looked like come around had some decent snow on it as well. but yeah, those mountains on Razors are crazy.

  20. We couldn't understand the reason behind burying upper Razor's under a glacier akin to Superstar?? Are they shooting to stay open into May? Doubtful. They could have been using those resources to work on another trail like Switchback.

  21. It was a decent day; snow wasn't as nice as yesterday, more firm, broken up, choppy/bumpy. Lines got a bit long by 11 or so and we packed it in. Lot's of little kids, Jerrys, human slalom gates at times. Temp was actually colder due to higher humidity, damp and penetrating. Opened Extreme today, narrow. Grizzly was still nicest run. Glad your kid got a job there, nice deal on season passes.

  22. That stinks, hopefully it’s a mild case. They were sold out today,, I don’t know what the lift lines were like but parking lots were full. My son got a job there the hourly isn’t bad and a season pass perk as well as one for a family member for $75!

  23. The guy that parked next to me said Friday January 13th. Anyways, pretty damn good morning if you ask me. Conditions were better than yesterday. Could conditions be better tomorrow than today? They wont have to groom Cuz's widowmaker raceway, thats for sure. that shit was firm. The people that like to stop, stand around in the worst spot, or make a left from the right hand turn lane, are out in force on the slopes.
