Just saw that it's opening on Saturday. Not sure if I'm late to the party on this one, but I'm excited!8 points

Nice session with the family tonight. Snow was the best I’ve seen at night so far this year and crowds weren’t as bad as I expected with ski club season starting. Only saw 3 tour buses in the lot and the quad was only a chair or two wait. Six pack had more people but still only a couple minute wait. Temps we’re in the upper 30s so snow was in the softer side with some scrap spots. Most rocks I’ve seen on open trails in a while between Burma and Lazy. Saw some sparks and thought my base might have taken a shot but just some scratches. Coming Soon and Razors were both closed while we were there. Hoping for some cold temps and they can get the thin spots covered. Back at it tomorrow night.5 points

Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 830am and it was in the mid 30s under overcast sky’s with light winds. In the house were C1, Root, Tele-Matt, Denise, Rodney and all the boomers. First run on paradise was a nice cord carpet but a little slow as fresh man made was blended into the surface. Second run on Razors was an 8..super smooth and edgable but regressed to a 6.5 a few runs later as a lot of the boilerplate below was exposed and not as smooth. Main Street was slow and smooth on the upper section and fast and choppy on the lower part and homestretch was deep deep sugar almost from the start. The best snow on the mountain was on coming soon as it was a carpet after 10am…four seconds of pleasure. Just the quad running and nearly every chair had people on it. While it wasn’t empty, it wasn’t busy either. All in all a fun session. JADIP4 points

Had a fun day. Conditions weren’t fabulous, but not bad considering the weather recently. J Law, believe I saw you several times late in the morning on Razors. I’ll be back in the morning. Calling for r@in again Thursday and Friday. Damn, we need cold weather!!3 points

Tis a glorious winter wonderland here in Marble. Decided to go skinning at Buttermilk. Buttermilk logistic are so freaking easy. The main parking lot is right at the bottom of the lift. There are 3 skin routes, I chose West Buttermilk since it’s the easiest and this was my first real uphill day. About 1200’ of vert. The parking for W Buttermilk is right in the trail! You walk out of your car and step on the snow. Stopped at the top at the Cliff House for a little water break. Overcast skies but warm temps. 2 storms rolling in this week. Woohoo!3 points

That’s like a song. I don’t even know if I have to do a roll call thread this week..everybody is gonna be there. Maybe there’ll even be balloons. I can bring a scissor from work if they forget the scissor for the ribbon. Just remind me to remove it from my jacket pocket before I go through TSA.2 points

Six spots will be raffled off for first chair which will be at 10am. In order to enter for a spot you have to donate $10 to a veterans fund that I believe blue is matching and winners also get a free lift ticket and even season pass holder wins it’s an extra buddy pass. I might enter Matt Edge and Pops have told me more than $10 worth of stories from when they were in the service. Edge was in the Navy so I have that in common with him since I was once a semen.2 points

Salty they might even bring in some local celebrities for the ribbon cutting. Maybe we’ll even take shots of champagne @ColoradoHigh this is fantastic. Now time to check the forecast see if they’ll be able to get switchback open for the weekend.2 points

Forecasts are just all over the place, even with temps. I cant stop myself from looking, but i am putting less faith in things even 2-3 days out. Forget looking a week out, it will just change, and i will be sad.2 points

Spinning at a pretty good clip right now. Much faster than the slow crawls we saw over the weekend.2 points

You’re welcome and anytime. I try to do my best to monitor the stats as the self appointed unofficial stats manager. Now some like BenM are a lost cause with the stats.1 point

14k gallons of water in a month is equivalent to drinking two and a half 16.9 oz bottles of water every minute of every day, around the clock. That would be one hell of a leak in the toilet.1 point

Also @Johnny Lawyou were at blue yesterday but forgot to add it in the stats. I don’t wanna see you missing days.1 point

14k gallons of water in a month would be like turning on a typical kitchen faucet full blast and letting it run for more than 4 hours every day. That would be one hell of a toilet leak.1 point

I had six total customers in my office today and two of them were wearing masks. I almost offered to put mine on but the person who was with the two masked people was maskless.1 point

I know that I compared my Nov or Dec to last year's bill and it was a significant difference with the same usage. I'm not sure who your provider is, but ours (PPL) had one of the biggest increases if I remember correctly. You might not even be using any more electric than normal. Might be worth looking at.1 point

$365/month for a house is amazing. Id rather live in a trailer home than an apartment…bigger and no attached neighbors. I thought I made out paying $400/month for a house in Conshohocken1 point

I told a friend JFBB would never host the Cardboard Classic ever again, and if anybody was going to do it, it would be Montage. Enough about how smart i am, this is just over the top smart on Montage's part. Have the Cardboard Classic, and then a music festival. you can do the sled race for free, but if you wanna see some live music, you will need to open up the purse strings. Allow MMR to advertise for you, and also bring a few thousand people up to the mountain that day. Well played Montage. Well played. https://www.montagemountainresorts.com/mountainfest/#tickets1 point

Wow! I never thought we’d see it spin this season. Factor in trial and error to learn how to operate it. I wouldn’t expect it to be free of problems.1 point

They better go all out. I just checked the forecast. It’s depressing but not as bleak as last week. We should all be super thankful for the early cold and the Xmas polar vortex..today was like winter lite.0 points

My first water bill here was $525 for one month as they said I used 14,000 gallons of water. Called the Water company and they said “go fuck your self, there must be a leak like a toilet.” Two different plumbers were hired, both confirmed no leaks. Water company inspects meter, says it works fine, I owe them $525. Landlord raises hell, water company says “great news, you only owe $300 instead of $525.” Landlord goes nuclear and gets the state involved, has water company install new meter. 2 months pass…water company says “our bad, it turns out our meter was indeed faulty, you only used $35 worth of water.” Come to present day, my bill still hasn’t been adjusted to reflect I don’t owe the $300 (they claim the next bill will reflect this) actually have never seen trailer park boys0 points
