I played the most dangerous game and ended up sleeping until 620 but was only 2 or 3 minutes behind. Snow was just ok but I think we are now at the point we just have to happy to have some. I expected more theatrics for the new lift, I would have done it at night so you can really see all the fireworks and lasers throw in some dry firing cannons and solid gold dancers and now that's a way to open a lift8 points

Conditions were kind of meh. First run on razors was decent but everything loosened up rather quickly and the sugar was vast. Upper main was decent, lower was a disaster. Lazy was brown. Upper para was good. Lower was crap. They're so thin everywhere but where were they making snow? Coming soon (fine), NMDW (probably for the park), and Yeti. It didn't make any sense to me. Either way today was about the new lift. Ben, Glenn and I scored 3rd chair (second if you don't count the winners). Once the main street express opened the line at the 6 became non existent.8 points

@saltyantthanks for starting the report thread for today. I didnât want to get out of bed this morning but finally arose from my slumber at 6:23AMâŠI shit, brushed my teeth, put in my contacts and got dressed and was on the road by 645am. I arrived at the lower lot at 7:20am and it was in the upper 20s under cloudy skyâs with moderate winds. In the house was everybody except Atomic Jeff, Toast, Justo, KevinThomas, Rose, Schifdawg, Kyle, Ski2Live and Eaf. First run on Razors was better than expected 7 out of 10 with ok grooming and surface. Next up was Main Street which was fantastic on the top and bottom half was sort of choppy and brown. Paradise had ok snow but crowded. I mainly skied Main Street and also did a run on Burma which had nice fresh man made silk Poe. I wanted to take the new chair but wasnât that thrilled with conditions so quit around 925am and some PASRs hanging in the lot and most headed out for opening remarks and the new lift. The new lift seemed to stop a lot and when I left Blue a bit before noon, it wasnât running and nobody was on it. Not to worry, new lifts come with a 30 day warranty. All in all I got some ok runs in and had fun hanging with the PASRs. Ski most of you tomorrow. Also snowguns weâre on the entire time I was there on nightmare to dreamweaver and coming soon. Itâs still below freezing in Allentown.5 points

The tour we had decided on did not look good from an avalanche perspective on the topo map. Lots of slides lately so we wanted to keep it mellow. Found a spot near the Reudi Reservoir 30 miles outside Basalt. Did not see another person today so that was nice. Did 2 miles up and 1300â then turned around.3 points

WJW can't believe @AtomicSkier and @toast21602 missed this monumental occasion to run 30.54 miles and 31.63 miles, respectively. Combined that's like running 74.7 horizontal lengths of the brand new Main Street Express Chairlift. WTGAI2 points

@saltyant you need to start showing up in the background at random events like Forrest Gump..like when the president is giving his state of the union youâre in the background drinking your coffee.1 point

I propose the public gets to ride Razor's Edge every other weekend, and the race team can get some other trail like School Hill or Pioneer Pass.1 point

It'll be shit sticky snow in barely snowmaking temps for show, but yeah it'll be great. Edited, just checked my pics from last yr1 point

I think tomorrows conditions will be better than today but a lot of people for not a lot of terrain.1 point

Youâre correct, getting two razors runs now on a weekend is like catching lightning in a bottle and soon they will have the elite PARA championships so razors will be completely closed. Get it while you can.1 point

First run on razors was pretty good. The mini rollers at the end of lazy were interesting...as well as the push piles on main street. Rode the new lift which was kinda exciting I guess...hopefully will keep lift lines down as long as they are running the six pack too.1 point

It seems to be getting shorter every season too. I swear back in the day you could get two or three but now it's one and done1 point

Probably because the auto-Safety bar was whacking everyone in the head in the base and top stations. Looks like they were adjusting the chairs during noon stoppage.1 point

That might be enough to miss the window for a run on Razor today.1 point

@saltyantCamelback sold out of tickets today and their new six pack was closed due to high winds.1 point

Hyata and I were waiting for conditions to improve, looks like that ploy isn't panning out. I'll be up soon.1 point

No, once the contractors move all their gear out. Some parts left over laid down near the main road. One run on Razors and one on Main, and then I called it a day.1 point

I donât believe so since it took the footprint of the former âwarming hutâ for ski school. I donât frequent that part of the parking lot enough but I think itâs still the same.1 point

Thought you used it for your kids helmet. Tomorrow is gonna be a big historic day. They never had opening remarks or a ribbon cutting for the Comet Quad or the Challenge express. Will be worth it to hear all the woo woo woosâŠmaybe some of the lower lot peeps will even give their cowbells a couple of rings.1 point

People will throw trash anywhere especially when itâs dark out. I wonder if they have a big can to place under the new super summit safari six pack near the top.1 point

The last time the price of oil soared I dumped the stinky oil furnace and went with a hybrid heat pump/propane system. The majority of the time it's running the heat pump, but on those brutal cold days the propane will take over and fire up. It's also a staged burner so that if it's just over the brink of being too cold for the heat pump, only one set of burners kick on and then modulates up to all burners when it's crazy cold.1 point

I guess I didn't win one of the coveted 6 seats on the first chair. Not sure how I go on after this disappointment0 points
