Back to Sugarbush today. Fun day. Sunny and cold. Lots of runs off Lincoln Peak. Jester was a blast, did that multiple times. Ate it on Sunrise late in the day. Looked floofy from the lift, but looks are deceiving… a sheet. Plus I was getting tired. On the fence about returning to Mt Ellen or doing Sugarbush again. Thought maybe we could see Mt Washington from the top today.6 points

Rode this morning, didn't see anyone I knew except some old heads. They blew massive piles on tubing, come around and xing. First run when i get off to go NM/DW there is a patroller who stops me and strongly advises against razors which i wasnt going anyways but apparently it was a frozen bone shaker even for blue. NM/DW was good consistent winter cord. Main was still being groomed at 840 so while good the first run it pretty much instantly became marbles. Lazy was ok as was dis, coming soon was closed. Widow/curziRacecabin was excellent as was Le Chute. If they can work out a couple of glacial spots and cookies in the next groom it should be quite good. I also got a little gap t-shirt and am on the way to shake shack, good way to start the day.5 points

Great first day back at Cb! Hasn’t snowed in a few days here so the groomers were fun and fast. I thought the bumps would be rough since they looked icy but they were fun too. started on the Silver Queen down to Paradise Bowl. Did 3 runs there then headed over to East River. There is a run called Black Eagle one half is groomed the other half bumped. We lapped that a bunch dipping in and out of the bumps Sarah me trying to pick a line Had a snack at the Umbrella Bar and did some east laps off that side. I ended my day after 12 runs, Sarah stayed longer. Had a weird conversation w a guy on the shuttle home: Guy: I always wondered if the band makes those skis (talking about my Black Crows) me: just gave him a funny look guy: so do you like their music? me: they’re ok after a 5 minute silence guy: (don’t even realize he is talking to me at first) So I did one long top to bottom run today. I am going to get my car and head over to Monarch so I can ski two places in one day. Probably just do one run there and come home. me: just gave him a funny look and said ok4 points

I'm happy they are solidifying what we already have open. There's plenty of season left for another cold snap and to open more trails. You know what they say, anything before Arbor Day is a bonus.4 points

Saturday. Maybe Sunday. Who's gonna do this...lol "We are expecting a busy weekend in the Snow Tubing Park! For the best parking experience, we're recommending all Season Passholders park at the Summit Lodge located at the top of the mountain. While you're at the Summit, grab a bite at Slopeside Pub and Grill, shop around our True Blue Retail Shop, enjoy live music performances, and more!"4 points

I didn't see the February 2nd thread so I figure I'd be like Mick Jagger and start one up. more weird conditions this evening from fresh man-made to cookie fields to sugar. It's better than it's been at least. Guns are blaze and lots of areas they're really pushing to get challenge open. That little ski school Hill next to tubing is also getting snow making action haven't gotten over to the main Street Express yet to see what's going on over there we'll do in a bit3 points

And I WAS enjoying my zen. First bluebird day I feel like I have had all season. Legs felt good, Sarah was cracking me up, no lift lines, no wind. Pretty damn good day.3 points

Are you going to American flatbread or mad taco? headed to Jay next weekend and the plan is to stop for lunch at one or the other and then hit Lawson’ s. Love the mad river valley …3 points

Hit the slopes about 10, hoping things would have softened up a little. Saw the gates on Razors but not closed (just a experts only sign which didn’t clue me in), so I gave it a try. Top headwall was ok, but where it levels out a little were large piles of massive softballs. Below the elbow and the bottom headwall were nice. I don’t see how a groomer can mess up a slope like that from yesterday. Then they closed the slope so two guys could run the gates. Lazy was the ROTD with Freefall and NM/DW close behind, although Main Street’s bottom section was good and the marbles on the upper part were at least a little softish. New snow on Freefall too, some slick spots on NM/DW. Curzi’s and the Chute OK with some new snow. A lot of snow being blown on the parks and tubing. Fries and Gatoraid on the lower patio, got to keep the money in-house.3 points

You have unfinished business at Jackson hole…I’d love to ski a day there where you take an extra run while me and Atomic Jeff save us all a table at the mangy moose..don’t be mad if the nachos are gone before you arrive. Can always order more. Jackson hole is still there. I’m on that Eddie money shit reminiscing about every trip to Jackson hole. And I wanna go Back…I’m leaving it there. Time for bed…thanks for reading…peace.3 points

Was up there for a bit tonight...They have a ton of guns going.....Walked out covered in snow....Surprised they weren't blowing on the trail under the F lift....Varied conditions from sticky fresh stuff/kinda sorta fluff stuff/ firm snow/ice....and some small dirt spots....They should be able to get some good production the next couple of days...Had a super fun time there tonight....3 points

Good: hanging out in NMSkis massive fireplace suite that had a window sill and couch. Bad: him sitting on a Luggage rack the first day cause while there were plenty of towels but not enough chairs, I remedied that situation by stealing two chairs from the hallway on the floor above. Ugly: two days I got over to his room in my khakis and noticed there were boxer shorts inside my pant leg. It’s cause after the bagel place in the AM I rip off pants and underwear and get into different underwear and ski pants and then I guess rush to get dressed when the Biergarten opens. Weird wild stuff. Paint me like the French girls.3 points

Drove up yesterday for the discounted skiing. Last 45 minutes up turnpike and 81 in light snow. Parking was in the upper lot. Cleared and got blue sky by around 9:30, temp around 24 degrees. Not completely open yet, had guns going all day on Iroquois, Tuscorora, and Kickapoo (trails closed). Snow was very firm and fast, could carve easily. Some small marbles developed here and there as day went on, nothing serious or troublesome. Upper Tunkhannock was usual bump field. Lower Tunkhannock was some of best snow on the mountain. Got 18 runs in. Only lousy snow was the icy boiler plate mess at lower Seneca in the run off to the double chair. Wife made the comment that you see a different caliber of skier at Elk. Blue sky, no kids, no lift lines, no crowd. JADIP.3 points

You should have told him according PASR it still only counts as one ski day! I have had the crows questions asked before too, I just say they’re the Chris Robinson signature model! those bumps look deliscious!2 points

CB stoke is always good but then I want to eat Thai as it reminds me of Ryce. How's the snow ?2 points

Saturday is the plan for this week. I'm hoping for something resembling real snow that might keep me out there for more than an hour and a half. Big tubing race this weekend?2 points

I cannot but Edge and Dirtwolf may be. Tonight was pretty good, there were a couple slick spots but as they were blowing lots of places most of it held some soft man-made. Right side spine on Coming Soon was the best I thought but upper main was also pretty smooth, fast and good grip.2 points

Good: 50” of new snow in 50 hours. Bad: delayed openings Ugly: Almost having a massive collision cause some nimrod turned uphill into a cat track I was going downhill on…if he would have collided with me I would have gone off on him. All he said was sorry…fuck him.2 points

Even better by 940 they had gates set down the left side and still kept it open. It seemed totally random but they were blowing on it last night and some of it came out absolutely glacial in spots. I'd much rather they say something for sure but it just seemed a bit funny as they only were there maybe 20 mins and like Dan said if your warning everyone maybe just drop the rope at 10 after it's warmed up.1 point

Well, at least they said something to avoid a run like the other week! Not surprising Razor's is in that state with upcoming races every weekend, they want it rock solid.1 point

Last night was f*cking terrible. Boot high sugar piles on ice. Brutal. But I got 6 runs in with my niece so all good 🥰. Very proud of how much better she’s gotten since she first started. Look forward to going with her again soon with better conditions. Turned around and did double duty and was up this morning from 845-11 with cuzzie. Little better than last night and was only gonna get better as it got warmer.1 point
