Tonight I found a way to lap Sasquatch , carry speed and arc around the last light pole ( check for traffic off E lift) get some air across lower Brown Bear and go between two pine trees. Ends up above the carpet on Teddy Bear , they blew a crossover under E lift that makes it easy to get to Sun Bear back to F lift. I got my laps down to 8 minutes gate to gate. Nice night , one run on Grizzly bumps. I worked on setting a small bump line on lower part of Sasquatch and lapped it all night. 6:45 close6 points

That would be awful. There are already too many peeps at Blue, it needs to stay it's own weird world or next up is a red snake IG account for Blue mtn road.5 points

At BC for a late afternoon/evening session...First couple of laps had the snow was really soft and creamy..Once the sun set things started to firm up on areas less traveled...Just skied stuff off of the F chair....They got some brown stuff showing through a few places....and it's gettin thin on Extreme...Skied for about an hour and a half and had a super good time....4 points

Hey All, Today felt like a Sophie B Hawkins song because it felt like springtime on this February morning. I arrived at the lower lot at 830am and it was in the mid 30s in the valley and warmer on the hill. In the house were Dirtwolf, Atomic Jeff, C1, The Bethlehem Ford crew and a couple hundred boomers and goobers. First run on Challenge was pretty mad..terrible grooming with ridges and divots and cookies everywhere. Nightmare to dreamweaver was good..a bit of a swale in the middle. Raceway to midway to lower Main Street was good and I repeated that..some mini cookies but not bad. Main Street top to bottom was also good. I think the run of the day was coming soon..it was firm but pretty smooth and lower paradise was empty enough that you could keep all your speed. I skied that twice to round out the quick sunny prework session.4 points

Back relaxing at Barbs place after another fun day at CB. Switched up the routine this morning to hit the steeper groomers off Silver Queen first then over to run some fast laps off Paradise. Dipped in some trees to find some really crusty stuff with yesterdays warm afternoon temps. Went down to the trees off East River, which were better but getting firmer every day. Bumps are still decent, but kinda depends upon what side of the trail they are on. Lunch break around noon, and thats when the clouds rolled in and visibility was poor at best. Clouds yielded snow, went back to the frontside to the trees at Horseshoe Springs, which skied well, but there are a few rocky areas to avoid. Ended up in a gully that was up in either direction to get out, so worked off lunch doing that. Low crowds today, no Eagles jerseys. Looks like about 2" fell in the afternoon, and hopefully the overnight snow produces.3 points

Double dip tonight was worth it, I think Main Street was the run of the night, lots of fun bumps to play in on upper main. Lazy was a close second. Switch was completely scraped off, powdered sugar on an ice cube. Crowds were light, skied right onto every lift, lots of kids out on the mountain but steering clear of paradise and Burma and there was usually only 1 other person on the trail. Sunday nights remain my favorite night… but Super Bowl night is extra special whoops wrong thread!3 points

I agree with Law…Blue is already crowded enough. Let’s hope for a more expensive season pass to trim the herd a little.2 points

Great bargain. You'll save a lot. Maybe the girls will want to buy season passes for Blue Mountain the True Mountain after seeing how much better it is than everywhere else. They will see the light and it will be Blue!2 points

Switchback and freefall were pretty good also. Razors wasn’t groomed and had a lot of skied off sections from the gates this weekend, I assume.2 points

Busy at CB today. Big crowd early on but we got in a few real nice empty groomers. Bumps and trees are getting a little banged up, anything in yesterdays sun was getting firm, but still skiable. Left at 12, the incoming bus unloaded a full house. Took a walk in town with Barb, as we got ourselves in the mood for Ryce, only to find out they are closed on Sundays. Stopped at the Pita place and had a nice lunch. The Pita place has a bar, and people were definitely there claiming their seat for the game. Weather turns a little snowier tomorrow.2 points

This morning started out promising. Started out on the Silver Queen and did a warm up lap on Paradise. Then headed over and did a lap on Keystone which is a steep run for me. Those 2 runs were best of the day. Things started getting skied off and the runs crowded after that. Weird bro vibe and dudes skiing like assholes had me saying I was gonna call it a day early. A few of Dan off of Keystone Dan was going to stay for a few more and then come back and go to town for lunch.2 points

Just got the email - available any weekday and any weekend/holiday eve. Nice deal. If forecast turns out to be wrong for Friday and it is not raining a good chunk of the day, I may take my girls there for the first time in a while with this deal.1 point

Tried 6 and 8 and learned my lesson Best Western right off Interstate gets my vote for a place near Stowe. Nice breakfast there too.1 point

Hampton Inn is my go to chain. Nice beds and breakfast buffet, always clean. Often choose them over cheaper options. Especially with two kids a good breakfast is worth it. Holiday Inn Express has also impressed with their breakfast buffet. Some places are just crap with prepackaged muffins and/or cold cereal.1 point

@saltyant I’ve been to busy looking at the weather for Allentown and crested butte and Jackson hole and winter park and just looked at the weather for rutland and it’s gonna snow overnight. There could be some Perder up at killington mountain. They call it the Big K..blue lite special on Perder..1 point

@saltyantthere used to be a steakhouse called the sirloin saloon in Rutvegas that had an elite salad bar. It had to be at least 25 feet long. Me and atomic Jeff went there with phillycore once and when he ordered his steak they asked him if he wanted the small steak or the large steak and wow that was a dumb question. Id say always get the larger can always bring a doggie bag or share it with Root and Sibhusky1 point

I remember the first time you asked about RTMs and Johnny Law said those were a jerry ski. SallyCat used to ski on RTMs which were actually a 171 length and had a microchip in them as they were the elite version not the Gerald version one point suck.1 point

I’m still second guessing that I write 2023 on checks vs 2022. When I returned from JH I was even guessing whether to write forty vs fourty lol1 point

Wow you even brought toast out of the woodwork. Because February has 28 days, the days in March at least the 1st-28th mirror February's.1 point

Nice I like hearing that you got to sample some of the local cuisine. I remember when you were going to go to the all you can eat salad bar at killington like five years ago. That was rad.1 point

For sure nbd in the end but cannot belive I made that kind of mistake and didn't catch it until I went to check in. Way worse than over sleeping for a flight, I fucking got the wrong month.1 point

I'll do that on Wednesday. The groomers here are fantastic, I just hate getting stuck down at the main lodge. I've already goofed 3 times and ended up there again. Now I'm planning my roots ahead of time to make sure I end at a real lift.1 point

Boot up at Jackson Gore to avoid the steps and the slow lift at the main lodge.1 point

It's such a nice day out and I so wanted to go but I got home super late and when I went to check in for my flights I discovered I booked for March which is a problem as its February. I've never made a mistake like that so I figured I should sleep more and went back to sleep.1 point

Adding both Cbk and Blue to Ikon is my real hope, as they are all affilated with KSL / Alterra1 point

I'm thinking there's a chance the joint pass might be on the table next season since they offered the Camelback add on back in December. That would be excellent. Then I'd consider the Ikon Pass since I'd have another local mountains to ski besides just Blue all the time. Any Blue insiders have the scoop?1 point
-
If a joint Blue /Camel one becomes an option I will see if they want to consider that, but on the whole they seem to prefer variety. Still would be nice to take them back for a day if Friday is clear1 point

Today was fun- first time that we were the last ones in the lot. Our friends didn’t get at first why we were so specific where we park, but after returning to the lot for a break they totally got it. Thanks @enjoralasfor the feast. I was shocked with how crowded the slopes were staying out so much later, but people were not going at Mach speed like they do on weeknights, which was a refreshing change with kids in tow. Looking forward to heading back up for a double dip during the Super Bowl.1 point

Longest day at Blue this year and probably the slowest but we had a good time with the kids. Props to @enjoralasand the rest of the PASRs for welcoming our friends. They were raving about the bacon cheeseburgers and how friendly everyone was. Went back out to catch a couple runs before their 4 hour pass ended. The sugar softened up to cream and it was fun. Kids were loving Burma with the side hits and Yeti park but still can’t convince them to French fry before the Main State flat and make it across. The line wasn’t too bad at the new 6 but the amount of people and skis laying on the snow in front of it was a pain to get through. I guess lack of snow also doesn’t help anyone spread out.1 point

Fun morning at Blue today...First couple of trips down TCS and Switch were great....Conditions started to deteriorate as the morning went on....Main started to get thick. .Although I did a Raceway/Midway/Lower Main and it was good...That new six moves way more people than the double double ever could...It had the line moving pretty quick...Riding single I could lap the quad easily..Fantastic array of edible delights in the lot thanks to @enjoralas...Great morning to be at Blue Mountain.....1 point

200000% agree, today was good and switch was very good but it's all about that free release. The booter is perfect, unless your exceptionally precise each takeoff is slightly different. Each time it's hurling you ass into the right with lots of speed slightly off balance in a fast transition to the edge. Snow elsewhere was a hodge podge and the trails felt busy af but nobody used to ski switch so maybe it's just in my head. Massive props to Enjo, you put on a feast and the amount of joy you bring to so many strangers......Your like the mother Teresa of meats and all things delicious.1 point

Wow a Bro vibe in Colorado wow just wow. Thankfully we don’t have that at Blue mountain…it’s a bunch of renaissance men.1 point

I lost my wallet at Whiteface a while ago. I remember thinking oh well...looks I need to cancel credit cards, replace everything etc. Was pretty bummed. Toward the end of the day as I was getting ready to leave I was riding the face lift and faintly heard my name called on the loud speaker down by the lodge. Skied down to find that a good Samaritan (such as yourself) turned my shit in. Trust me you made someone's day, week and year.1 point

Spied a plastic bag in the snow on lower Main from the flying couch, looked like it contained a cellphone. Skied down to find it contained someone's wallet! I bet they were bummin' big time when they discovered it missing. Hopefully they went in and claimed it.1 point

Perfect, sunny, warm solo day at CB. Ran the groomers until about 10:30, then dabbled in the woods and bumps in between trails, while trying to keep myself out of liftlines, as it got pretty busy, or at least busier than its been. Using the singles line was a 50/50, sometimes it was faster, sometimes i watched groups of 4 just cycling by. 2 observations here. its very infrequent to find someone skiing something they shouldn't be on. Maybe this is at most resorts out of our area, but it sure is a nice break from human slalom. And there are a TON of little people half my size here that just rip this mountain up. Barbs neighbors kid is 7, and supposed to be just at another level. Met alot of Texans, and a bunch of people from Telluride. weather might start to get a little more interesting depending on what forecast you want to believe, but most of them point to tues/wed for some decent accumulation. I leave Wednesday, but the flights in the afternoon, so i will probably add a day to my pass and ski in the AM. time will tell on that one. At lunch i was running the numbers as to how much each run is costing me based on what i purchased the 6 day pass for, i had an outstanding revelation that had i gone ahead and got the Epic pass, i would have saved 20% on my lodge food probably totaling up to a whopping $25. So to offset that i am drinking as much of their free water as possible. More sun on tap for tomorrow, and hopefully lower crowds. Jadip 2 crappy pics coming up.1 point

Fun day at Elk Mountain! Conditions were far from perfect but pretty damn good considering how this winter has been. Only a couple closed trails, and they were blowing on a couple. They had blown a couple inches into the bumps on Tunkhannock overnight and it skied great. Even in the afternoon it wasn’t too icy. Definitely some icy spots on some trails and a few skid marks, but that’s to be expected considering the weather lately. Run of the day was Tecumseh. Snow and grooming was NICE on that one. Chilling with a brewski now and going to dinner at my spot Dino and Francesco’s tonight. Nice little day with the family.1 point

Another great day at CB with Barb. Cold start, but sun was out in force. Nice fast groomer runs off of Paradise, and then some trees and bumps down at East River before lunch. Ran some laps off of Silver Queen after lunch, some slicky slicky but still edge-able, dipped in some trees, played in some bumps. Trees are pretty tight at CB, so probably spending more time in the bumps. legs feel way better today. My Iphone 2 is circling the drain, and the battery goes dead really fast, so picture time is limited to first thing in the am, or right after i can charge it a lunch, so pics are pretty limited. Back from a beautiful morning session. Much warmer today even though it was -10 for my morning dog walk. Yesterday we got on the lift at 9:02, today it was 9:04. Epic mix gives you all the stats. Snow was MUCH improved today! It skied fast. Sun was out! Did a few on Paradise then headed down to East River. Black Eagle, one of my go to runs, was icy. I called it icy, Dan called it slick. couple of Dan Couple of me I left after 14 runs Dan moving onto bigger stuff. It was nice of him to hang w me this morning. had the Korean beef again for lunch, pic for Doug1 point
