Holy shit. We had to buy Becky an adult season pass this year just to not have restrictions. So pleased to see the 9 and under option8 points

Hey All, I’m back from another morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 722am and in the house were PARidge, Salty, Atomic Jeff, MBike mike, Dirtwolf, Boo Bear, Becky Boo, Oz and the Bethlehem ford crew minus Bethlehem ford guy. The temperature began in the mid 30s with a slight amount of fog near the peak. First run I skied coming soon which was ok and lower paradise was super good. Challenge was also ok pretty put together..Paradise was real nice and pretty smooth and soft and switchback was super variable with about six types of conditions. Lazy mile was pretty nice as well and I revisited paradise and challenge a few times. There were no crowds and I expect moderate crowds this afternoon. After skiing hungout in the lot for a beer or two and some chips and now back to work like a dork. JADIP8 points

I am pretty sure I have a sinus infection now. Ugh. Day 9 of feeling lousy. But I have a friend here so skiing it is. I heard the last 2 days were the worst crowds people have seen here. Glad I skipped it. I left my friend at a lesson as he hasn’t skied in over 20 years, yikes. He gave me slightly different info when said he was coming. But he has a great attitude and I give him lots of credit for getting out there. Another poor visibility day. Headed right down to East River from Paradise. And to be honest it wasn’t too good down there either. Started dumping snow. After about 4 laps, I tried to find some mellow trees off the front side. Ran those a bit and now taking a break for lunch. If the visibility does not improve gonna call it a day. Snow was supposed to arrive tomorrow thru Wednesday night. Seems it’s early. Forecast is 10-20”. A few pics from the tree runs6 points

We know. Too expensive and you aren't buying one. You can see yourself out of this thread now. I'm sure there will be a Mega Indy epic iconic super saver cost calculation thread for you to spam.5 points

Hopefully they give a concrete deadline. Not one of these while supplies last things.5 points

I had said the pass price would start with a 7. I was wrong, and can admit when i am wrong. But i was close, but close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, and diarrhea, i guess. the 2022/2023 thing at the top of the page is a little weird though. Typical for Blue, but weird4 points

Conditions were decent. Probably better than yesterday, but today more than yesterday you could see that it's getting thinner and browner in places. Inversion fog didn't help early on. Overall fun skiing this morning.4 points

100% they went on sale the exact same day last year, the day after President’s Day. But it was the 22bd last year. Was looking through my old emails yesterday and noted the date.3 points

I was really on the fence over buying an epic pass, or a Blue pass, but thanks for helping me make up my mind knowing i wont see you at Blue!3 points

Could see skiing Blue a bunch more starting winter of 2035-36 if they keep with this pricing model and I stay in this area.3 points

Super fun time this morning.....But after about 45 min things started goin south...Early Switch was fantastic..NM/DW was pretty good also...TCS held up great...wanted to do a few laps on it to end the morning but between the BMR..lessons and other assorted groups the quad line really ramps up...Finished with a couple of runs down Lazy and also did a Challenger run....It was busy today....Huge thanks to @enjoralas the the meat treats!!3 points

Skied 830-11 and it was quite nice. Everything they blew was groomed out and smooth. Couple boiler plates in spots they didn’t get to blow next to but overall nice. The VRBO host said no one was coming after us and so we could leave whenever which was a pleasant surprise. Came back to the cabin after skiing for a shower and took off for home after 12. Only 2.5 hours back to the LV which was a nice finish.3 points

That’s going to keep me at Blue, although at only a $25 it was probably inevitable anyway, but I would have bitched a bunch. Walter turns 10 in early September so I’ll be paying full price for him but saving a ton on Grayson. Yinz notice that Adventure Camp for next year goes on sale tomorrow too? I’ll be putting the boys in Saturday again if you guys are gonna put Becky in, maybe we can ask them to group together2 points

I feel like this is pretty much when it comes out, just after pres day weekend. Keep in mind, offering it this year in march wont get much “ski the balance of this year”2 points

Easy Out to end the day. Only time I generally ski it. Traversing Connector bites. And usually my only Burma run is start of day.2 points

A combination of Habit - it was the only game in town when I started Ski right away rather than waiting in line first More scenic Closer to my home - no reason to drive down and up a mountain an extra time. Facilities nicer looking2 points

Good chance my kids would rebel and tell a lifty so they would not have to spend a 2nd season waiting in ridic lines at Blue and skiing the same 1000 footer every weekend. Nice deal though - I will tell a friend who has two young kids she is starting out skiing. Recently tabulated that I have now taken each of my kids skiing 118x. Gotta find some deals to make that work.2 points

Dang, $125 cheaper than predicted on the site @Benm found which must have been a placeholder or something. WJW they are leaving money on the table.2 points

Becky and I got on the snow around 915, and skied until around 1130ish with Justo, Rose and their little one. Conditions changed with each run but it was good, but paradise sure is getting thin around the second turn. They might need to scrape the snow together for a bridge if they don’t get the temps to blow a patch on it overnight.2 points

Has anybody heard anything about a season pass holder party? They should have it on a Sunday around 3pm!!1 point

Yeah, @NastarGlenn called me a Jerry but I skied the parking lot on my RTMs and was buying new skis so I didn't care. Blue Mountain should add Parking Lot as their 41st trail, maybe it can even be a black diamond.1 point
-
That’s what I was thinking. Salty remember when you skied back to your car and nastar Glenn was like wow just wow lol that was awesome.1 point

Still get a mini run at the end. And end of day not on my mind when parking.1 point

I haven't stood in a line at all this season at Blue, we'll ok maybe for 15 seconds at most. Especially since they added a 3rd high speed lift. Just make sure you arrive at 8:00 and ski only until 9:30. Then you can join us in the lot for Sausage Sundays1 point

That would be grate, I can fly us to the beach. Atomic Skier's airplane holds 4 dudes so we can bring 6 dudes easy. It will be just like in Top Gun when they're playing volleyball only we'll be drinking Yoo-Hoos instead of beer. Remind JFDan to pack his speedo1 point

@Kyle's PASR profile says he lives in Kutztown. Since that's the official record for everything, that's what I go by. Kutztown's high for Thursday is only 63 which isn't warm enough for tropical plants and pets yet. If Kyle would keep his PASR records current then there would be no confusion and no need for a confused face.1 point

Someone I spoke with on the lift today thinks they can make it to April. He must be smoking some strong vape juice1 point

Ugg “Little Gap” flashback. I can remember driving through 9” of snow to get my skis out of the instructors shack to ski elsewhere because they closed early that year. I have to believe they’re looking at cold in the forecast and a couple storm signals coming up . Hopefully the base hangs in till then.1 point

I think they’ll blow snow Friday night but the warm weather windows have been much longer than the cold weather windows.1 point
-
Unfortunately doesn't look like any good snowmaking temps until Friday. The other question is whether or not they'll invest any more money into snowmaking? Yeah, Blue had blow all the way up to closing day before, but new owners may not see it worth the spend.1 point

I don’t think you qualified. As unofficial stats manager, I make the rules and contests only apply to Pennsylvania residents.1 point

I was just there and I didn't know they have tubing. Wonder if someone was injured or worse? Snowtubing is a pretty risky activity1 point

I like Nuts on Clark from the Chicago O’Hare airport. I’m more into savory than sweet so I like the cheddar popcorn but I will fuck with Johnson’s caramel popcorn or even cracker jacks if available.. Are you still trying to get back to Arizona snowbowl in march? I remember you saying airfare was about $450..that’s decent considering your lift tickets are already taken care of. Plus if you stay at the same place multiple times, they sometimes greet you with a welcome gift. It’s happened to me before at a holiday inn express..thanks for the bottle of water and bag of pretzels..not even kidding..you rock hardcore yo.1 point

That would be awful. There are already too many peeps at Blue, it needs to stay it's own weird world or next up is a red snake IG account for Blue mtn road.1 point
