Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot real early because I allowed extra time for the snowy drive which was not necessary. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Johnny Law, PARidge, Mute, Boo bear, Becky Boo, Toast, BenM, Enjorales, Pops, Enjorales cousin, Falco, Spider, Dirtwolf, Bethlehem ford guy, Harold, Indiggio, Slim, TP4, VTMark and many others. There was about 3” of new snow on the upper mountain and less than an inch at the base. First run was a foggy challenge, the snow was ok, a few sticky areas…Main street was decent with a few choppy areas. I enjoyed Coming soon the most. There was some untracked on the far right side and I felt some float and the head wall had a nice natural snow surface on top of a hardpack base and looked choppy but the snow was very forgiving. I kept lapping coming soon the majority of my session. It was snowing very wet most of the time I skied and I was soaked..mainly my legs…had a few beers in the lot including a Heady Topper compliments of Dirtwolf and when I peaced out a few people were going to the season pass holder lunch… Ski everybody tomorrow..I think the snow is gonna be really fast.9 points

On the road to Loveland now, about 30 min out - getting there around 6:40am. We’ll eat some lodge breakfast and get in line early for the 8am chair. open snow was predicting 1-3 feet of snow. Loveland’s website said at 5am there was 7” in the past 12 hours, and 10” in the past 24 hours. JDAIP7 points

I cant accurately describe wtf the first headwall on Razors was. Mostly because i couldnt see it, but it was a new level of weird. After that, things were pretty good, slow in spots for sure. Switch was nice, coming soon was fun in the ditchy-ditch. Last two runs the vis was so much better.5 points

Coming up over the top first thing this am was absolutely spectacular, the snow caked trees gave it a real Christmas at the north pole kinda look. Switch I thought was really good full speed uneven and they added a 3rd spot to get air which I always appreciate. Coming Soon and the middle ditch in particular were very good. The weather wasn't the best to sit around in and you couldn't see shit for awhile but with the multi color snow no need to see it anyways. Major props to Dirty for the Heady Topper, one of the absolute best.4 points

Placed my bets on JF today and it was just OK... not Grate like on Tuesday. They must have groomed after some snowfall because the snow on the trails was about half as deep (3") as the snow in the parking lot (6"). Got there at 8:00 sharp and immediately hiked the steep hill to the Expert Lift (eastern side) for a nice fresh untracked run down Floyd's. It was grate. Then met up with a friend of a friend, who is now a friend, and we skied an untracked River Shot which was amazing. Those were the only 2 untracked runs really. It got crowded faaaast and by 9:30 there were about 100 people in line. The A-Lift was INOP for the morning which made it exhausting to traverse to the western slopes, which were less crowded and skied just as nice as the X-Pert slopes. We left after 2 hours since the short runs and loooong lift rides started to get boring. Also the snow wasn't deep enough for glades like Happy Land. All in all an OK day at JF, JAD-IP.2 points

Did an afternoon session at Eldora today. It was a sunny warm day with no wind. So rare for Eldora. Started out on the front side. The snow wasn’t great. Hasn’t snowed in a while and things were pretty scraped off. After 4 different runs in the front I went to the backside to see if the snow was better there. And it was a bit. Corona trail was pretty scraped off as it’s the main one on that side. Then I did a couple on Muleshoe, that snow was much better. Did one more back there forget the name then called it a day. No lift lines whatsoever. I miss Crested Butte. Lol2 points

Late night offer I couldn't refuse....Same size as my other FT..but has a shorter BSL..by 12mm....I know shit about bindings...Anyone know if that difference can be adjusted out in the binding...Really don't want to do a remount...would rather by new skis/bindings Any opinions on bindings...Mostly resort ...Maybe 10% off resort if that.... Out of the box they feel good...They're hella stiffer than my old boots....I'm psyched...1 point

I hope the prior engagement is good and aside from some chatter here, I don’t remember Blue posting anything about the SP lunch…I’m not going, I like the streak of not going to the top lodge.1 point

Day 1 at Crystal Mountain,. Arrived at Crystal Mountain around 10:00am after a 2.5 hour drive from my friend's house near Olympia. Not terribly crowded on the slopes but park lots were full and it was a pretty good hike to the lodge from the main lot. Kept pretty low-key and stuck mostly to groomers. Visibility was not great and was pretty non-existent at the summit. The gondola was shut down around 1130 due to winds. Overall, the snow was decent, only found a few slick spots later in the day, but nothing terrible I did not feel their groomed terrain was that steep compared to Utah. The abundance of evergreen trees reminded me of Elk( HAHA).. Road mostly off the Ranier Express and the Forrest Queen Express.. A few pictures.. hard to take much at higher elevation due to fog. You should be able to see Mt Ranier, but no luck today1 point

Grate Report. I think tomorrow will be totally rad at Blue Mountain the True Mountain, which will likely be my last day skiing in PA this season, unless any resort makes it to April.0 points
