It was a Good Friday at Killington with @AtomicSkier @NMSKI @Johnny Law slow start to the day, started with the gondi as some stuff was on a delayed opening. Quickly after 10 or so more started opening and things got real nice real fast. i think we are going to the Bush tomorrow. Will dip into the twenties tonight, so a firm start im sure, but should warm up nice. As skitoolives says “get hard on Saturday, and stay soft on Sundays” or whatever.9 points

Today was doooope ! Classic VT like 16 different snows on the hill, super super perfect corn and then the next turn is boilerplate, then grass, then firm groom etc etc and its all up to you to navigate. Outer limits was very very good, one run I got in a good line and it was lazy falling airplane turns all the way down. Vagabond was also very good with the perfect amount of skankiness. I think this has been the longest I've gone between visits but say what you will its a fantastic mtn. There is that millisecond in skiing where you can feel your shit going south because something unexpected has occurred in the snow. The more you ski the less it happens as you get better at predicting what to expect but I think at no mtn have I spent more time in the oh that's interesting place in seemingly non threatening terrain than Killy. Like the rodeo in Mexico it's gloriously sketchy. Proper fucking crew and a gorgeous day in the mtns.2 points

Warm bluebird morning at Eldora. My friend and I did exactly one tree run and it was like a luge, super icy. So we did laps on the front then went to the backside. First 2 runs were good, then everyone seemed to find their way back there and that lift is painfully slow. Ended the day with about 10 runs and the snow was turning to mush. Car said 40 degrees when we were done.1 point

Flagstaff has an airport but yeah I fly into Phx then drive. The drive is so nice that it goes quick. I think the shuttle is managed by the city and I don’t think it runs midweek at certain times during the season so gotta be careful if you do that. If renting get awd if you can. I’ve seen tons of people w front wheel hitchhiking to get up. There’s even a “hitchhiking lot” on snowbowl road toward the bottom. if you go… comfort inn on Beulah boulevard (not the other comfort inn). 15 or 20 minutes to the base are but you won’t be disappointed.1 point

It was an interesting day and like @RidgeRacer said, Cameltoe surely makes you appreciate what we have at Blue, without all the crap, like the pay for parking from your phone sign that was right in my view as I parked! The peeps I was with are some Blue bumpers Gah skier George & Jr., Gary and later Jason also arrived. Conditions were as expected after the rain and deep freeze. We did find the (attempt at) seeded bump line, but it was rock hard frozen slush cat tracks that’ll be that way until the 70’s later this week. We couldn’t get over the Cadillac of lifts that is the bubble 6, while Blue got the Pinto. This thing is whisper quiet, has all metal coverings, a nice big building to store the chairs and suspended seats to soften the rumble of the supports. We couldn’t figure out which was shorter, the ride up or the runs down… While walking out to car, there were two cop cars with sirens blaring, hauling ass right up to the lodge. I guess someone’s drinking a beer in the lot or something. I had two beers and a sangwich in the lot and avoided harassment. I guess they don’t care on closing day. Bump line, sort of… Must’ve been another Blue alien…1 point

Off the snow at 1045 to head to soccer. Enjoyable morning to me, but then I've never been an irrational Camelback hater. Last few runs things were getting a bit softer even over on Nile Mile and Pocono Raceway. Bet it was great 30-45 minutes after I had to quit. Think this was my first Camelback visit since before the pandemic, but it reminded me that I do quite like the place. Not $275ish add-on to my Blue pass like it, but if they have triple tickets sub $130 next season I'm likely in for one. If I was midway between them instead of 20 minutes to Blue and 45 to Camelback, I'd probably spring for the add-on. Debated running into the rental shop to see about setups for the boys (no not kidding) but didn't think I could get in and out and to the soccer field by noon. Did squeeze in a stop to grab takeout from Zack's tho.1 point

Fun day. One of the few things I like about CB is that it always makes me appreciate Blue's terrain that much more. Enjo nailed conditions. Bone rattling frozen cord was everywhere with the exception of a 3 or 4 turns on king Tut. What was open had surprisingly decent coverage and the bubble lift was a hoot. In the house were @mute1080 @Dirtwolf @Schif @Benm @enjoralas @indiggio and a bunch of peeps with indiggio that I didn't know, a few cb locals and I think we saw @DiMe too. Blue peeps were representin'. Good day, good season.1 point
