  1. I’ve been occasionally waking my kids up by farting really loud. If I have to fart, I go in one of their rooms right by the bed and blast off super loud. We both crack up and starting the day with a big laugh is the best way to set up a great day.

  3. Arrived at the top of parking deck A @ 10am to meet the usual Blue crew homies. Turns out a bomb threat to the mall resulted in a minor delayed opening. To my suprise the mountain was not as crowded as I expected. Roughly 60-120 second lift line which ultimately cost us a few laps but not bad. Nearly everyone at the mountain was on the free ride piste and so we had the park mostly to ourselves along with some jerry senders. We even witness one jerry sender full send air taco over the hip jump. We seen from the lift and alerted the top attendant to summon ski patrol! We rush down the park to close of the feature and help ski patrol who fired up the tow rope to come to aide. We waited to flag ski patrol down to the scene so he would not get lost and we departed only to see the jerry getting towed downed in a ski patrol sled. After our 2 hour session we attempted to stop at Yard House from some apres refreshments but the mall and bar was packed! We settled for 5 guys and a Stella Artois. Hope for the next session to be Friday at Blue! All in all it was a exciting day filled with turns, box and rail slides!

  7. I couldn't hang around Cortina Valley too much. Somebody tried to turn the lodge and base area into a hotel resort in 2020, right in time for the pandemic. I don't think it lasted more than a year. Even though its closed I think somebody lives there now. But I did walk up to the top.

  9. A 5 gallon bucket with some oil dry (kitty litter) keep in the vehicle along with a change of clothes and a roll of tp. I keep mental notes of where the rail trail parking is, road construction sites . Usually a job johnny available. Wawa , Sheetz . I’m not the most religious person but I’ve prayed the stalls open many times. I’ve yet to have a blowout but came close. My buddy has the record for the most embarrassing and most conspicuous emergency. Top of Tuckerman headwall. He started his run then stopped and for a cheering lunchrock crowd dropped a log 😳😂

  10. Oh yeah! Out drinking one night, wasn’t my turn to drive, one started just after leaving bar, of course I was last to be dropped off at home. Struggling to keep turtle in its shell the entire ride. Got back home to my parents house and there was NO time to wait. Headed to the back corner of the yard behind a bush and let loose. No greasy old napkin. Had to do a waddle of shame straight to the shower.

  20. Some of the local ladies said there was just enough snow to XC at the Marble Mill site Park. They used their HOK skis but I was anxious to try out my Madshus. They have so much glide to them! In the first 5 minutes we went down a very small hill, and down I went. lol. By the next small hill I figured out how to descend without falling. Not graceful, but I got down it. The park is where they used to process Marble. There are a lot of random pieces carved and the old marble foundation pieces. 15 degrees and brilliant sunshine! Snow moving in this weekend. What a great spot that is a 10 min drive from my house to get some quick cardio in! These 2 ladies are in their 70’s but getting out there in a regular basis. I hope to be this active at their age. Plus they have such great stories.

  21. The cold will come, the night of Zee Lights will come. Opening day being fun for all of one hour as the 8 open trails which really mean 1.5 trails get boring and/or skied off will come. I'm going to enjoy one more weekend of sleeping in before the inevitability of waking up early and constantly having beer in my car sets in.
