I might get killed if I come up for Saturday. The wife scheduled Thing 2's birthday party at Skyzone for Saturday morning, and I have a feeling it'll be a bad time for me if I tell her I'm going skiing that morning. So, see you guys Saturday.6 points

You guys expecting that one of these days Blue is gonna have their shit together is still hilarious. Just cause KSL moved in doesnt mean old habits wont go away immediately. I have a theory on this. They had some type of issue that goes along with the digging they did on Vista, and couldnt run guns on Vista, so move to plan B, which is get main street open. then whatever got fixed, and now back to plan A, which is gettting Vista open. I feel they would favor Vista, for slope and lodge access, over Main. Gotta sell those hot chocolates. Hopefully what is down on Main doesnt go to waste before they can get back to it. I know you probably know this, but tubing is a license to print money. You need to concede to this happening. your life will be better. Go get a Little Caesars Hot and Ready, and chill.5 points

hopefully the wind dies down soon. I mean, its pretty marginal for snow making right now, production isnt the greatest, but at least its something. and yeah, we might be able to ski at @Dirtwolf's house pretty soon.4 points

They got all the guns going, not sure what the temp is there but they are certainly committed.4 points

They need to blow snow as much as they can on everything they can. I could see people upset if they were only blowing on tubing and not other stuff…this little 60 hour period might be all they get for weeks to blow and this could keep them going till and when it gets cold again. Theyre also just about never open midweek the first week or two after opening. It’s about to be ski season in a few days and people are complaining. Be grateful this this marginal snowmaking window in late November. Without it we might not have skiing till Xmas4 points

Seriously. I think tubing is dumb, but its something that even the most uncoordinated, overweight, colorblind, dummy can do. I would bet that more than 50% of the sale of gloves, goggles, hats and lip balm are to tubers. Its part of their business, so be it. just stop looking over there. Get a Little Caesars Hot and Ready, split it with @Benm and chill. You know as well as i do, if they dont make snow on it right now, they wont be able to make the 7th opening. After like Thursday, it will probably be a week before they get snowmaking temps back.4 points

Guns are cranking full out! At least 6 of the new guns are on upper Kodiak below B chair, addresses the one area that always gets thin late season. Also, a new winch groomer for this year! New LED lighting for all trails too this year! Get stoked!3 points

I have zero anxiety for opening day it’s a break from other stuff. I do get powder panic big time…the big storm in 2021 was anxiety just making it to Blue..that’s when we opened coming soon. I’ll have to find toasts Pow day video from The mid 2010s when everything and I mean everything was in play. On ski trips I have major powder panic..I actually appreciate the non Pow days cause more chill…3 points

I remember four years ago, when you were drinking 16 ounce IPAs before opening..good thing you switched back to miller lites lol. I was thinking who’s this yahoo but Johnny law said you were alright lol Cant wait to sing Benny and the jets with Matt edge in the lift with you. JLaw likes to sing as well. I remember him singing the sun will cum out tomorrow on the lift. That’s a banger.3 points

My hot sister keeps bugging to go tubing at Blue. I'll probably go skiing while her and her friend go down the tubing.3 points

large pressurized water leak. 6 min after that came through, tubing, homestretch and lower main were all killed. sounds like they rectified it pretty quickly tho. everythingwentbetterthanexpected.psd3 points

Hey All, Its almost another Blue mountain ski season and I might be a bit premature posting this but Blue is anticipating opening Saturday..is anybody planning on skiing opening day/weekend? I’m stoked for bottom lot for opening again..I remember the days we weren’t down there until almost Boxing Day which is when the Xmas cookies make an appearance. It’s beginning to look a lot like ski season. I’ll be there but haven’t skied in like 8 months so might wanna start off on some blues and greens before tackling the steeps. Ski some of y’all this weekend!!!2 points

I will be taking the Main Street 6 if available to see what they may or may not have done on Come Around. They teased on the Blue Mountain Parks insta page today the cat hauling festures up to that area. After that I will probably take my 2nd run up the quad to check out the nile mile if it's open!!2 points

Probably Sunday unless the weather is looking good for fishing...2 points

This will be my first opening day since like 2012 or around there!!2 points

They could but they won’t. Camelback only opened before Blue once when Jim Doily forgot to get the lifts inspected. I remember @theprogram4 riding spring mountain once when blue wasn’t open. Big boulder always used to be the first to open…as for Jack Frost I don’t think it’s on blues radar as competition.2 points

It's pretty powerful (and emotional) especially in the areas where no cameras are allowed. So many people there yet so quiet and somber. I got a lot of questions from my teenage daughter and her friend that I had to attempt to explain. It's funny because I saw a few other parents doing the same and struggling with it like I was. Where and how it's built is truly incredible and they really do honor those lost in a proper fashion. When we left I just wanted to hug someone. On a completely different note I really wanted to hit the observation deck at liberty tower but fiddy bucks a pop seemed a bit excessive. I'm not about splitting cocoas in any way shape or form but $150 to ride an elevator seemed pretty excessive to me.2 points
