Lower lazy has no snow, considering the weather and how narrow lower Burma is pdis would be a Christmas miracle...... Today was super dope, really good weather and crew. Snow was way better than I thought, best snow is on homestretch get out there and farm those noodle turns. Its currently 56 at my house, its just amazing they are even open at all never mind the endless delusions of grandeur....when is razors going to open ? 🙄🙄🙄🙄7 points

Went to Highlands today for the first time. Wow, the snow was fantastic!! I went with my neighbor who is in his early 70’s with a nice beer belly and doesn’t look like he is athletic. This guy can fucking ski! He still does races in Vail and Beaver Creek. He has been skiing Highlands for 50 years and knows every inch of the place. He gave me a very nice tour. There was nobody there, I mean at all. He definitely pushed me for day #3 on the snow. We started on Exhibition lift and did 2 off there, then moved over to Cloud 9 lift and did a bunch off of that lift. He wanted to take me to Thunder Bowl but it was closed. last run of the day we went to the top (of the lift, obviously not the bowl) pics from the top the next ridge is Highland Bowl. I didn’t feel like I could take many pictures while we were skiing, since he is from a different generation and just doesn’t do that. He showed me picnic point and I took a pic there, really pretty view of the bells I realized why my legs were so tired (even after some midway stops) when we got to the bottom. I looked up the trail map and it’s 3600’ of vert top to bottom. Very solid day for me.5 points

Just got back from a solid sesh at Blue The True. To much whiskey last night result in an extra late arrival at 9:30am. Burma was a field of cookies which was mad technical but not very fun. Midway to Mainstreet was firm and fast. There was some dope man made powder skiers right all the way down midway to lower main I tracked then helped the skeezers seed a soft bump line of it. Park build is fun but was a ice rink at opening. Crowds diminished around 11 and seemed to stay light when I left a little after noon. All in all JADIP, be back tomorrow morning!4 points

Hey All, I’m back from a fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 825 and it was a frosty 31 degrees at the base but 39 at the upper entrance…mad inversion Yo. Some guns still blasting around the base area and the top of Razors. Wow a lot of people were in the house today including NMSki, Atomic Jeff, PARidge, JLaw, Dirtwolf, Toast, Root, C1er, Bethlehem ford crew, TP4 and many others. The same terrain as last week was open…they didn’t blow enough on Paradise to open. Easy out and vista had nice snow almost packed powder, midway was pretty good a little slick near the bottom and lower main was decent. By the second run it was really crowded and a few runs I was at a near standstill in the mob of people on midway..I skied the same run until about 1030..I didn’t venture into Burma but heard it was ok. They also have the paid lot set up at the lower lodge with a digital display that says how many spaces are available. All in all a fun morning and now I have 8 voicemails at work. Ski most of you tomorrow.3 points

Looks like snowmaking temps return Tuesday night..they should be able to resurface the existing 12 trails and tubing for the holidays.2 points

Nice. can I play this game too? The lottery ticket I have says “free ticket”. But to me it says I won $1,000,000. Let’s see what the lady at the gas station says when I go to cash it in. Lol2 points

This mornings conditions were nice. A good crew on hand. Great day! Skiing in nice temperatures and bright sunshine is always great but obviously this time of year it’s not ideal. Lots of people today too prompting you to hit the brakes a lot. Went to get my oil changed after skiing and walked to the coffee shop while waiting and dang it was warm out.2 points

I believe that majority of the rain is supposed to be Sunday late afternoon or early evening. Maybe we get the morning with 4pm closure?2 points

Maybe I'll go Sunday. First I need to go pick up the pass tomorrow after skiing at Blue. Can't be dealing with that kind of nonsense on a ski morning.1 point

They have hidden whales...... I think it may be a yolo thin cover while we can because gonna lose it with the rain Sunday.1 point

Good. well, i mean, $120 is a better number as far as i am concerned. Charge $40, make $XXXX. FB "slopes are soooo crowded. WTF" Charge $102/$115, make $XXXX. FB "OMG, no way im paying that for 3 trails....highway robbery. im going to Big Boulder" it just works out the same.1 point

Late start and 55° at 1:30 . Took a while to find my friend Paul but skied Bumps till 3 . The flat light almost got me going from Midway to Main st . My next runs were better. Paul started busting on me about my new obnoxious Blue jacket which started a coughing fit and I decided to bail.Fun while it lasted, but I always think of ski Blue as therapy, my lungs feel better hopefully get rid of the sore throat. I’m dragging today and think I have the dreaded respiratory virus going around. I’ve dodged it for a while but now it hit this morning. The chills hit me a few miles from home. I tested negative this morning for Covid.1 point

And paid parking I heard $30 or $40 they hadn’t decided yet or perhaps it’s weekday/weekend price. Guess we’re in Teton county now..1 point

It's actually a reasonable deterrent. Even today it felt crowded, I wouldn't want to be on the same few trails tomorrow, being the only skiable day of this weekend. So, the more they charge, the less people will come.1 point

Really crappy compared to the opening day. Same terrain, but started hard in the morning, then quickly cookied up beyond hope thanks to them blowing wet yesterday and only by about 11:30 got soft, cream-cheesy and pleasant. Around 1pm it turned sticky in spots due to all the sun and temps. Well, I'm still glad I came, since there are rumors of some new downpour Sun-Mon, so we're all gonna be back to square one next week. Best snow was on the Connector and Home Stretch, LOL.1 point

That is a really grate bargain to ski a few dirty crowded trails!! Glad to hear Blue mountain hill is not leaving any Johnny Cash on the mantle!!1 point

Gotta be a real fixer upper with some expensive fixes as that's pretty cheap even for slowkemo. The difference being the ones at Alta are cool and in big years you can ski right on to the roof of the one coming out of Catherine's.1 point

I think they probably lost too much there, it gets pretty flat so it wouldn't surprise me if it was a bit of a lake after the rain. Not enough new snow to make it deep and wide so now it's just weirdly narrow.1 point

Good luck! Any way you slice it or dice it she will tell you to head to a lottery office. They can only cash out up to $600 I believe in gas stations.1 point

Lower Burma puzzled me as well with how WROD it was groomed. Kind weird with all the snowmaking hours how it got narrower unless maybe it's some sort of snow preservation strategy1 point

Bucket list for me...no doubt. Wait till the national museum opens at Giza though. That shits gonna be incredible. All of tut's treasures are being moved there. Plus lots of other cool stuff. The museum was built in the shadow of the pyramids. Supposedly has an atrium area with an incredible view of them. I'd like to start from Cairo to Giza to Luxor to see the valley of the Kings.1 point

Those kids are assholes. Maybe they’ll set up some gates this weekend on midway and lower Main Street.0 points
