That cold has been moving back for weeks for now. That was supposed to be here 3 days ago. My confidence is kinda low at this point. And i try not to get excited about things that might not come true. I hope it comes, but like i said, not holding my breath. lets see how this looks in 3 days....lol2 points

There is no stoke with this forecast. Sorry and Jackson hole is bone dry so don’t even have those webcams to watch. I will bring the stoke when there is stoke to bring..I’m not sugarcoating stuff.2 points

Yea, I probably would laugh a lot. You guys would definitely leave me in the dust, though. And I don’t talk politics when I’m having fun.2 points

Got there late yesterday. An 8am opening is too much for me when I work a 12 the day before. Also had some errands in the morning. Arrived just in time for the tailgate, which was tasty. Had good advice to stay on TCS. We lapped that 3 times, and went back out to the parking lot. I couldn’t believe how crowded it was! People bombing through the bumps, pizza wedging down, just too much mayhem for us. I don’t need to start retirement by being taken out by some clown.2 points

Hey All, I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I made near record time to Blue about 32 minutes door to door and arrived at the lower lot before 720am. It was overcast with a temperature of 37 degrees. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, BenM, Mute, Ryan, Indiggio, Gary, GahSkier George, Ben Edge, Dirtwolf, Mixilplix, TP4 and many more. Again there were issues with the super safari six pack first thing…first run on easy out to vista to midway to lower main was ok until lower main which was a mine field of uneven grooming and fuckery. Up the quad and the run in to Coming soon was thick sugar..not that pleasent. Coming soon was smooth semi edgeable washboard..normally it wouldn’t be that good but compared to other stuff it was decent. Lower Paradise was the most challenging skiing as there’s a lot of bare areas and in between the bare areas is all rolly polly. Skied several laps on coming soon then gave midway to Main Street another go and it sucked. Then I skied Burma for the first time in a few weeks and while busy, coverage wasn’t bad until the end and surface was deep sugar. Crowds today were semi light..security guy said 40 people parked in the paid parking yesterday and now the area in front of the valley lodge is one way and alot aren’t observing that and driving over the cones. Also talk on the walkie talkie of people bringing their own sleds out onto the ski slopes. Seems like a good way to enjoy the place for free. The parking lot was the chilliest 40 degrees ever with a clouds, a breeze and damn air. I almost needed my gloves..had two beers and peaced out..I’ll be back tomorrow, I don’t really wanna ski but have housekeeping at 8am and don’t wanna go to work. it will be interesting to see if they’re able to blow some snow this week. I expect the same terrain to be open next weekend but if snowmaking conditions are really good, maybe they can reopen paradise and lazy mile. JADIP1 point

Post of the day!!! He’s definitely not skiing fast and doubtful he’s eating ass either. What a wanker. Nice jacket though.1 point

Unfortunately no ski trips but I’ll probably do a Plattekill powder day “once “ the woods are in play. My son made the USA junior F3j Rc glider team. 2024 Worlds are in Norway so we’ll be going for a couple weeks this coming summer. My Sailplane needs a ton of work so my fun budget is blown out of the water this year. Hoping February delivers so I can get in some Jim Thorpe bc runs .1 point

If I wanna slide on a board I’ll go to a playground. I like speed and pow and fresh cord..and not the cord that rattles fillings. All good I’ve already skied like 3 hours this season lol Dime I don’t feel like you were such a park rat a decade+ ago but maybe I forgot. Anyway as I said the other day you gotta hook up with @Antman..I’ve seen him do a tindy off a down flat down to a switch 180 cork butter pecan. They need to bring the steps back. I used to love skiing down then in the park. They were mad crispy. If by some miracle Blue gets the sidewinder trail open(would take a polar vortex) they need to bring back the short bus and also the crackerbarrel. I never hit the school bus or the Cracker Barrel but I’d whack my pole against those steezy features every run for stoke and I used to piss behind the wall ride as a sacrifice to the freaky snow gods. I don’t even care if they saw my weiner. Not much to see lol1 point

Yeah, im super surprised i have been able to pretty much ski the same trail over and over again for an hour or so. imagine what it will be like when we have like 5-6 trails open? holy fuck. of course i will be there tomorrow though. i thought about skipping it, but im heading home, so its on my way. if i ski 2 runs and split, i wont feel bad about it at all.1 point

Was gonna say. Mashed potatoes are a different ball of wax all together…in a good way of course. Sugar just sucks. My least favorite condition to ski on.1 point

The sugar lumps are more typical when it’s sort of cold and they haven’t blown snow in a really long time. For buttering around I guess they’re fun but most skiers don’t care for them.1 point

Thanks man. Wish I could be skiing. Decided to test 3 or 4 days into feeling shitty last week and of course…positive. Not sure how tf that happened, especially since the kids never got it. Either way…feel 100% now, did yesterday too for the most part, fever free all that good stuff. Last week though I was kicking myself for not getting the last booster cause it beat my ass hard one of those days.1 point

So F’n fed up with Groundhog Day skiing!! Deep sugar piles everywhere where making things challenging for everyone, especially beginners as we watched many of them face-planting all over Coming Soon. Right side of Midway had a short little bump run for some fun, but it wasn’t really worth having to run the beginner gauntlet on Vista and the choke at the bottom of Main. So many close calls…1 point

@indiggio and @NMSKI this guy is a top tier ski vlogger. We were talking in the lot the other day swigging hot sauce on the slopes maybe not the best idea. At least I’ve mostly been skipping the hash brown and sausage McMuffin on the way up that plus a shot of hot sauce level 41 point

I don’t really feel like coming tomorrow, but I’m worried they will close midweek1 point

Apparently Aspen is never really busy and the crowd there are not voracious powder hounds. Different crowd than the resorts that attract front range locals and most of those Denver peeps are gapers who ski ten days a year.1 point

Got there late with the boys for their forst go of the year, went to get on the super six and Thing 1's pass wouldn't scan. Sent Pops and Thing 2 on ahead, they were already through the gates and went in to have it fixed. Took about 15 minutes with about 4 parties in front of us so wasn't too bad. It took the rep like 8 tries to get it working though, so I was sure mine wouldn't be working when we got back out though, since we have the same name all all, I expected so.e sort of fuckery but it was good. Went up and spotted Pops gettin on the Vista lift as we went up so waited for them at the top. Decided to lap Vista a bit instead of running Burma, so the boys could get some turns in at least. Did thst like 3 times and then took them over to the Summit school carpet where they ran laps for 45 minutes or so while we sat and watched and had a drink. Skied down Burma to get back down to the lot, definitely sugar piles all over the place, but coverage was at least there even in the corners. And it wasn't toooo crowded 🙄: 20231230_111927.mp4 Took the long way home and took them to McDougal's in Walnutport to make up for such a crappy first day and that one still has a PlayPlace so all in all a pretty good day for them. Likely out on tomorrow, so Happy New Year all!1 point

@saltyant we barely ever receive snowfall in December but January and February are our best months for snow and March is ok the years it cums in like a lion. @Salty remember you’re no longer a jerry anymore. You’re also no longer a jerry any less. How has camelback been?0 points

Yeah it will be just my luck I get a knock on the window from the Popo..but sounds like a good idea and housekeeping cums between 8-12.0 points

I’m hoping for a Capri sun one of these days..those are refreshing but the straw is tricky.0 points
