Guns started last night and they are still going, windows almost all week and minimal underdeveloped snow flakes. Shit is heating up, wax the big boards, get your purple polo out at least for one week shit looks pretty ok9 points

Holy cow, it’s Jan 1st, I hardly got any time to sleep the night before, and now it’s going to be another sleepless night on a red-eye to Malpensa! After an unbelievably warm, wet and snowless trip to Jungfrau last year, this time we decided to play it safe and get up high in the sky to Breuil-Cervinia-Zermatt area, approaching it from the Italian side. And of course, as the luck of the draw goes, this year there’s plenty of snow everywhere, and on top of Matterhorn there are actually 60mph winds, so we might not even be able to cross into Switzerland over the 4 days of skiing, since the only way to do it is to get over the ridge at 3500m. Something tells me though that before I get a chance to try that, I’ll be trying chains on my way to Cervinia, which is like, maaaan, this would be a perfect year to take trains on the Switzerland side rather than drive in snow in Italy. Anyway, the plan is to ski as much as we can and wherever we can, and use the first opportunity to sneak out to Zermatt, like these people did, but the other way around (https://yawninggetsyoueverywhere.com/2022/03/18/skiing-from-zermatt-to-cervinia). Only 5-6 hours roundtrip with a nice opportunity to miscalculate something and end up spending the night in the wrong country. Will we get a car good enough to take us up to Cervinia? Will the winds cooperate? Will we be too dumb not to cross over back to the Italian slopes in time? LOL, better get drunk soon to stop worrying about this nonsense!8 points

According to somebody on blues Facebook comments, there was somebody today under the lift cleaning up trash. Remember we all have a lot of power and you can complain and not be a Karen.6 points

Rode Cinderella at Dollywood, its a coal fired narrow guage they picked up from Alaska. It was og from Baldwin in PA in 1938, loud and angry it belched cinders as it devoured the track in animal like fashion. Super dope train....5 points

Some guns back on already, so that's nice. Hopefully they can get some stuff laid down this week.4 points

That's step 1. Now they need to 1) implement policies to prevent it and 2) implement a schedule to maintain the cleanliness. No one wants to see that shit in 2 weeks again especially after the night groups start.3 points

Welcome back, PASR needs your stoke. Airhead and Dime try their best to stoke up the peanut gallery but your stoke is like the yoccos secret sauce, often imitated but never duplicated!!!3 points

FYI, this was the map from what ever model gave Blue the most snow, but yeah, its good to see snow back in the forecast and should make for some interesting "stoke" for this week.3 points

@saltyantThis weekend may be just the time to take advantage of the super duper VIP exclusive Blue/Camel ultimate combo seasons pass. We can get a full hour of First tracks deep Pocono perder while the regular ticket peasants just have ti watch and drool from the base area.2 points

Way back, pre PASR I think, i had a weekend like that so i went to Killington. I even met and skied with peeps from epic ski. That's was fun.2 points

And props to @AtomicSkier for paying the bills here so we can make our voices heard via this powerful and influential medium called Payser.2 points

Blowing on Paradise, upper Main, Lazy Mile, top of Razors (although most of that is going over the top of the slope). Stopped around 10. Conditions this morning slightly better than Sunday, with the exception of lower Paradise- one person a time going through the brown spot. Not as much sugar, Freefall a little crowded, Midway/Lower Main fairly empty. Burma had the best snow, but massively crowded.2 points

100% chance of moisture with this storm from what I see. Ask the Beltzville Buoy or @JFskiDan for some data..2 points

One run in and I can tell you this won't be a long session. Crowds on dirt strips basically and people are actually complaining that they didn't make snow. I can't. Anyway Snow is mashed potato, gaper built bumps everywhere. Probably not the best day for me after being down and out over a week Either way. I was able to snap this Pic of the Majestic beauty of the mountains in the wintertime below.1 point

Mixilplix happy new year and thanks for bringing up Rajeev it has been long time since he has stopped in. Last I heard he was in Mumbai for the monsoon to help his relatives who can’t swim get across the river. Then he travelled to hill station to do snowboard and his sister Jaya make good goat. His cousins own the Dunkin’ Donuts in tobyhanna. Plenty of Boston cream when Rajeev is in town.1 point

Step 4 is installing facial recognition cameras on every chair lift with A.I. Litter Bug detector automatically recognizing inappropriate aluminum can disposal and therefore ejecting the litterer hooligan from the chair lift seat.1 point

No, I think he's doing snowbord on his Burton snowbord at the ski hill station in Mumbai with his sister Jaya Singhhai.1 point

its been upgraded. for "stoke" We're keeping a close eye on natural snow Mother Nature is expected to drop off this weekend. Some reports are showing up to 11 inches!1 point

Ideally you’d want them to groom before the snow falls but if it’s not a lot of snow over ungroomed..not that great..that’s known as dust on crust.1 point
-
i remember you saying that. it would be a shitshow for sure. looking at the timing, i'm wondering if they'll leave anything ungroomed. personally i'm not holding out any hope for even a flake until saturday.1 point

What gets us are the actual empty Twisted Tea boxes under the lifts. How do you carry a box that size onto the lift? Its also just laziness on the drinkers part to not wait for the dumpsters instead of just tossing them when/wherever.1 point

Just got back from a short afternoon session at Blue. I was suprised how well they are making through. Big sugar humps on the Nile Mile and Main Street, leg burning but fun. The park is holding up well and I think they got this. Rumor from talking to some employees is they are all scheduled through the upcoming mid week and I assume school groups are starting. Looks like they can make it through by the skinnof their teeth with the guns firing up Monday night and onward most nights.1 point

So F’n fed up with Groundhog Day skiing!! Deep sugar piles everywhere where making things challenging for everyone, especially beginners as we watched many of them face-planting all over Coming Soon. Right side of Midway had a short little bump run for some fun, but it wasn’t really worth having to run the beginner gauntlet on Vista and the choke at the bottom of Main. So many close calls…1 point

It’s not the same out there without @Johnny Law he’d love the spiciness and @RidgeRacer hope you’re feeling better..1 point

Spent 25 minutes in the bathroom mid session ferociously scrubbing the grease off my jacket that got on it from the lift. As annoyed as I was, I got about 98% of it off. Went to the hand dryer to dry the jacket off and got dirt from the wall on it…more scrubbing ensued smh. Eventually got it clean and all seems to be well. Worried the waterproofing on that particular area is now shot. @toast21602 has been through this1 point

Got there late with the boys for their forst go of the year, went to get on the super six and Thing 1's pass wouldn't scan. Sent Pops and Thing 2 on ahead, they were already through the gates and went in to have it fixed. Took about 15 minutes with about 4 parties in front of us so wasn't too bad. It took the rep like 8 tries to get it working though, so I was sure mine wouldn't be working when we got back out though, since we have the same name all all, I expected so.e sort of fuckery but it was good. Went up and spotted Pops gettin on the Vista lift as we went up so waited for them at the top. Decided to lap Vista a bit instead of running Burma, so the boys could get some turns in at least. Did thst like 3 times and then took them over to the Summit school carpet where they ran laps for 45 minutes or so while we sat and watched and had a drink. Skied down Burma to get back down to the lot, definitely sugar piles all over the place, but coverage was at least there even in the corners. And it wasn't toooo crowded 🙄: 20231230_111927.mp4 Took the long way home and took them to McDougal's in Walnutport to make up for such a crappy first day and that one still has a PlayPlace so all in all a pretty good day for them. Likely out on tomorrow, so Happy New Year all!1 point

I actually witnessed this and it was grate. Truly amazed at how agile @GrilledSteezeSandwich really is. I thought for sure he was going to run right over @AtomicSkier's Kastles and a fight would ensue, but he managed to skirt through everyone without nary a scrape! Took a run down Burma early for shits and giggles, yeah, nope. It was like 6" deep sugar the entire run. At least we didn't get whistled at by SP. Midway/Lower Main was almost as scary with its cookies and suspect grooming. Spent the rest of the day lapping Coming Soon. At least skier's right ridge was playful. Skier's left was a minefield of boulders with lots of sugar piles.1 point

kinda thought today was gonna be real bad. it wasnt too bad. but Coming Soon was the star of the show, and thats kinda it. lower main was bombed out by a little after 9. i think they will make it into monday with similar conditions and similar skeet spots. Who knows what next week will bring.1 point

Snow was harder than a diamond this morning....The grooming made it extra spicy too...uneven and some small bomb holes....Started to soften up after an hour or so....But still some sketch spots....Super nice seeing the sky this morning..... TCS still seems to have a good depth....They must have had a really deep base on it to last this long...1 point

Don't get it wrong, it was different today but it was the best skiing of the year. You missed it.1 point
