Hey All, I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 7:15am and it was 28 degrees with a rising sun. In the house was everybody except Kyle, Salty, RideDE, Nancy and Hayata. First OG six pack to challenge which was a little slick and uneven but better than yesterday. Lazy was good initially and I repeated that. Coming soon had some new manmade which was nice and lower paradise was very variable and nutty. I skied chute for the first time this season and snow was ok for the 5 seconds of it with quite the lip. The rest of Main Street was the washboard rolly polly stuff. I also skied mid way to little gap to burma and pretty slick. Crowds were a little less than yesterday. Another fun parking lot and Enjorales had Gumbo for us. It either needs to get warmer or colder for conditions to improve. This in between stuff just leads to deep sugar. It’s nice that there’s no features on barbs way, now they’re on Central Park. No pictures today.10 points

This weekend I mainly lapped challenge and coming soon. The sunlight made it possible to really hit good speed without worries of not seeing ruts and bumps7 points

You are a ninja, you always have good pics but I've never seen you taking photos. Today was an improvement over yesterday for sure, challenge, coming soon, lazy were all pretty good but still that classic blue sketchiness with random boiler to super soft. It did get a bit softer when we went back out but unbelievably uneven, lower dis the right side was a legit mogul field and the rest was getting there. Most excellent to get some sun and it was super nice out to have a beer. It was an excellent weekend though I'm hoping for a turn in conditions, my back hurts from all the up, down and all around just getting through the trash.5 points

I saw the forecast could be good spring skiing conditions next weekend. I prefer spring conditions to todays4 points

Wow, the grooming was night/day improvement over yesterday’s disaster of an attempt at grooming. It only goes to prove that Blue’s groomers are actually capable of putting down some decent cord, if they want to (or may be allowed to). Ran the ridge on Coming Soon which was ROTD but the ridge has practically disappeared into nothing but the weeds. Not a whole lotta fun elsewhere and just lost interest in the same old situation. Parking lot beers were fun as usual and kudos to @enjoralas for some tasty jambalaya!4 points

Jack Frost was grate. Skied 830-11. Bathrooms suck though, actually had to stand in line to wash my hands. What's up with that? Changing into my street clothes was a hassle. The stalls are so small. This mountain makes me grateful for the big wide open expanse of the Blue Mountain (the True Mountain) snowtubing bathrooms, where space for changing is plentiful.3 points

@saltyant nice report. Next time go in the woods or don’t wash your hands. What did you do after skiing that you had to change into your street clothes?? Perhaps you had jury duty3 points

Thanks. I made a 2.73 mile hike near Francis E. Walter Dam. It was so dam rad soaking in that blue sky after such a harsh winter. I got super hangry during my hike and stopped at Wawa for a delicious jalapeno pretzel and hot honey chicken wrap. @theprogram4 have you tried Wawa's hot honey chicken wrap? They really hit the spot at a rugged 2.73 mile hike.2 points

There are bathrooms next to the ski patrol building at the bottom of one park. Be nice if there were something over on East mountain. Also larger bathrooms across from the courtesy desk where I would change.2 points

Back home. Was a really nice trip…got to spend quality time with my kid, three excellent ski days…a bluebird / groomer day, a good tree day and a powder day, got a brand new helmet worth a buck forty for free courtesy of snowbowl, had excellent pizza and gelato, got a chance to check on the land and area around there, had two on time flights that arrived early and were half empty, racked up Starbucks points and realized that despite wanting one forever, I’m probably not a jeep guy (did come home to a broken fridge though) Till next time. See everyone at blue next weekend.2 points

River Shot and Challenger were grate. Lots of nice, soft snow in the sun. No sugar piles or sand dunes like at Blue the True. Stood in like 2 minutes tops, the rest of the time was basically right on the lift. Even got to ride solo many times. I've never seen so many people on River Shot, though - seems super popular this year. Saw some noobies were struggling to get down, and witnessed a few wipe outs from the lift. Wait til Floyd's open - that's going to eat those noobs alive.1 point

My Trip Report is missing crucial details on a topic even more important than bathrooms... The parking. I was distraught to see large, new "Slope side Parking" signs leading through the muddy bumpy dirt road to my favorite parking area. That used to be the best kept secret of Jack Frost - New Jersey gapers park across the street and I get slope side access. Now every Tom, Harry and Richard knows about the slopeside parking. I had to walk an extra 15 yards each way to my car due to the gapers taking all of my spots. Plus the super muddy lot soiled by freshly washed automobile which is totally not cool. It is rad that slopeside parking is still free; I was expecting to have to pay something dumb like fitty cents, so Epic has got that going for them which is nice. Overall I give the parking situation a 7.5/10 and bathrooms maybe a 6.25/10.1 point

The one night I looked last week the lights were out everywhere but the Vista/Slopeside cams. I almost posted about Zee Lights being off and not being able to see what they are blowing on at night anymore, but then I figured someone would just comment "They always start turning them off after the first few weeks of the season" because I definitely know I've seen them off in the past. So who knows . . .1 point
