Started on the OG6 and Atomic, Z, Drew, Justo, Rose, and BFG crew. First run down Razors was worth the price of admission. Second down Challenge was even better. Snow was great and could let the skis run with minimal crowds for the first hour. 2 minute wait for the second hour. Longest single session with 16 runs and half of them were Challenge. They were blowing at the top of the mountain but all of it is now on the Appalachian Trail so now sure how that helped. Some marbles on the mountain where they blew which is expected. Sidewinder was still pretty firm. Lots of ski swapping between the 27.5s today which was fun to talk about the differences. I’ve never met a friend with 29.5 so apply within. Heading back with the fam shortly for a double dip. Favorite part of the day was @saltyant flying right over us on the quad. Hope you had a grate flight! Check out the epic pic.11 points

Started the day with 4 or so inches on the ground, vis continued to be most excellent. It snowed like the dickens until 130/2, more pnw style but a touch drier than previous. Being reasonable and prudent above all we went exploring, the first two where pure pow pow bliss. In getting there I skied the slowest I've ever skied in the modern era, from the end of the protective cornice above Sultan to the top of Steins you couldn't see the tips of your skis. Out in the boonies we found super good windblown but out involved a mine field with enough fluff on top you couldn't tell what the was underneath. All was club super sex and then the next second your getting bucked to the moon. We escaped back into the friendly confines and the trees until I thought my legs would explode. Once the snow stopped the clouds put on a multi layer show but the wind had gotten so bad Empire and Lady Morgan closed at 3. With the other high lifts right behind them we sought refuge and chilled at the Montage. Highly recommend the hot chocolate and cookies downstairs but don't be surprised by the boot donkeys asking to take your boots off for you.6 points

Blue the True was the first of many, many ski resorts I flew over today in NY, VT, MA, and NJ. Didn't see anyone in the lower lot so this explains it. Hopefully the footage from my new GoPro is so detailed you can see the mud bubbling in the PASR lot4 points

This is a half hour from my house so I thought, why not? Never been. Super old-fashioned little family ski hill. Lodge is from the 60s. Love the lodge. Smells like feet. Muddy gravel parking lot. Plus points. Their lifts are old. A fleet of 1960s Hall double chairs. It was a ten minute ride on the slower double chair to go whatever, like 300ish vertical feet. The other side of the hill has a double chair geared a little faster. More like a 3 minute ride. They don't clear the lift line properly and the trees on either side have pretty much grown over the lift which makes for a cool tunnel-like effect as you ride up. Not gonna be great when one of those weak-ass poplars splits and brings the lift down. Snow was great. Packed powder. Super grippy and fun. I grabbed a fat Japan air on the sweet jump they built. Fun day. Ski patrol man yelled at me to put the safety bar down.2 points

Blue said on their Facebook that returning season passholders receive a $50 gift card. I like the 20% off glamping thing. I think I wanna stay at the switchback location and get a lift on one of their ATVs by Ashley to my camp spot.2 points

Around 5,000 near the PA/NY border late morning, then no clouds anywhere the rest of the day.2 points

Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 720am and the temperature was in the lower teens under Sunny sky’s with moderate winds. In the house was everybody except Toast, Justo, Zonked and Falco. Second civilian OG six pack. I started on challenge and the left side was a little rolly polly and the right side pretty smooth. Skied that three times then nightmare dreamweaver which was pretty nice. Up the quad to coming soon which was pretty terrible..they blew really wet snow and did a crappy job grooming..Main Street was nice and I skied a few laps on that then back to challenge and nightmare dreamweaver and a final run on Switchback which was ok, still a little chunky. I didn’t ski Sidewinder because it looked bad and was bad. Crowds were a bit more than a normal weekend but not that insane…a couple minute liftline…lifts were stopping a bit. Fun parking lot, had a White Castle slider thanks to BenM, some cheese balls and a couple beers. I ended up hanging with Matt Edge and Harold at the end and then TP4…then went into the bathroom and the line for the ladies room was like 30 people long..if you have yellow fever would be a good place to hangout.. When going back to my car to leave there was quite the argument apparently people who just arrived were not happy at how wide somebod parked and tried to fit into a tiny spot and guy was getting upset and arguing back and forth and almost a physical fight. I recorded some of it on my phone…then I just said,”I’m leaving just take my spot”. Im likely skiing tomorrow AM, I have work but my boss doesn’t care if I show up late. JADIP2 points

Day 3 started sunny and warm, we ripped groomers with light crowds and super good cord. We had a fondue lunch early and while getting down with the curds and whey the weather changed on a dime. Round 2 of the super wet, Helen Keller skiing was on, 2" an hr snow with random down pours of graupel. We stuck to what we knew blind and went to Steins/mayflower which held super soft chunder turns. In the white we probably fell down it as much as actually skied it but it mattered not. We bounced through the piles until my legs were absolute noodles. In the end 9 more inches came down in 5 or 6 hrs Diner was a Japanese thing that was most excellent. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Today there was allegedly more snow on the way but awoke to a clear cold morning. With good vis, lots of snow around and breakfast from mom it was time to take down the more interesting lines. Straight to Ontario bowl a some baby hikes we got two quick shots of knee deep untracked. Next up was Mayflower chute a smaller face that looks cool I've always wanted to ski but was icing the cupcake where your patching together the untracked pockets. We gambled on Perseverance trees which was a mix of luge track and super soft but ultimately forced our hand to go up Empire for the real goods. The traverse was fast and while my cousins and brothers wanted x files I was after something more spicy. I skirted the cornice past 1-3 which while holding good snow are too bs, 5 is the real prize but had no way in so I settled for 4. Through the gate I was greeted with a 6ft cornice but it was mostly fake news and was a nice hop air into a upper 30's degree rock lined ramp of snow. Knee deep fresh one turn, wind blow hard slab the next it was what I love about steeps. Wild and reckless you push your limit stick to 105 and a 1000 vert is gone in two minutes of joy where there is nothing more that exists but you and the mtn. We took two more to 7 and a failed run where we basically traversed ourselves out of mtn. Lunch we grilled some burgers and soaked up the sun as it had suddenly become 30. We did a bunch more groomers but more importantly at the end of the day we found the sticky wicket an 80's themed ski bar that for DV is almost dirt bag. Kinda speakeasyish if you go, at silverlake lodge go all the way left to the Cafe royal which is closed but go through the door up the back steps and there is a dude checking id's. If you go all the way around the back is like the couches loungey part. Check it out if your ever in Rome. Dinner was steakhouse though I had a shrimp dish.2 points

Staying at DV with my family, I may get to Alta tomorrow depending on when everyone departs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Only an inch or so today, mostly graupel but it was super nice to get some sun and actually be able to see what I was skiing. Ran like every groomer in the place, in the morning nobody was out and you could really rack up the runs. First thing was absolutely mint but by 11 some peeps were out and after lunch the big dogs where mixed moguls/ lovely lady lumps. Still super windy but snowing now and supposed to snow all day tomorrow.1 point

Wow just wow..sounds like quite the experience..be sure to keep posting videos. Once your YouTube page gets to 1,000 subscribers you can get monetized and make tree fiddy a month as a content creator. Then maybe you can start making money doing affiliate marketing…it’s not a pyramid scheme it’s multi level marketing and you can make alot of money…I actually know somebody with a course on affiliate marketing for only $3491 point

Can’t believe no one filmed it. I left around 11am, while waiting to turn left on Blue Mountain Drive, about 15 cars pulled in. Only one did not have Jersey plates.1 point

Yesterday morning was the single best hour ive had at BC. Left extra early not knowing the road conditions and quickly realized they were simply wet so I arrived in the lot about 45 minutes before opening and was the 2nd non worker there lol. First in line at about 805 and hung out with some others till rope drop. My plan was to hit E lift so I could beat everybody else to F lift and get untrack Sasquatch. As I got to E lift I was told F lift was closed. So I took a run down and back to E lift and by this time F lift was open so I shot down there and was still one of the first people down Sassy. Single best run Ive ever had at BC. After that I hiked back over to F lift so I could hit Extreme which was simply incredible. Back up E lift, down to F lift and took another run down Sasquach. By this point both trails were basically tracked out so I spent the next 90 minutes enjoying the mountain. Simply amazing morning.1 point

I’m not surprised no one wants to do ski patrol anymore. Not sure the perks are that great anymore and you have to have training and recerts- probably out of your own pocket. That on top of no respect, and the amount of attitude and abuse they probably have to put up with. Not sure if anyone saw on IG, it was the head of Monmouth Mountain ski patrol basically just asking people please don’t duck ropes- they could be doing avalanche mitigation, or by going into the area, you could trigger an avalanche. The amount of nasty comments was pretty incredible.1 point

Hotdog Hans is alright but I think he’s in jail right now in Aspen after some lewd conduct after an X-Games after party. Id prefer Hansi Hinterseer… DiMe he might make you wanna switch over to the dark side and become a skier.1 point

*real time report for Doug 💙 My neighbor told me about a closer in parking lot at Snowmass. Since it’s a holiday weekend and I was cutting it close w time, I got one of the last spaces, woohoo! Got to the Village Express lot about 9:10 after the bus and walking thru the mall. we have had some snow! Everything is ungroomed and chopped up or bumped. As seems to be my habit now, I went right over to Big Burn lift. On the way there (all ungroomed chop) girl is straight lining totally out of control and came within inches of taking me out. Started out on Sneaky’s. Here is a pic from the top for @Johnny Law Ran the Powerline Glades a few times off here. Nothing like Created Butte trees. Very well spaced. Lots of powder in there. Scarfed down a mahi sandwich and some M &M’s the mahi was not great. Would not get again. not sure how much longer I will last. Legs getting tired from the bumps and chop. Crowds are amazing for a holiday weekend. Singles line is 5-6 min. I need to find some down hill ski ladies here to hang with. Skiing alone gets a bit boring. But overall 10/10 day here at Snowmass.1 point

If I was officially in charge of stats, I’d count it as 3 ski days..I’d also fuck with Ski2Lives stats although he might brag to his band mates about achieving 69 ski days at Brokeback mountain.0 points

I didn’t have a problem.. it was pretty frozen. Why should Blue waste the money? Obviously, most people don’t care, they still park there.0 points
