Well this storm definitely delivered! In 36 hours I would say we got a solid 22-24” here in Marble. Hard to tell because the last round was wet and everything compressed. But the webcams at Aspen show big numbers. The Aspen base cam had a line down the stairs at 8:15. They opened 20 new trails since yesterday when I checked. After shoveling out our property (and our neighbor), I took my XC skis and skied my neighborhood. One street was plowed but most of it was untouched. Just a lot of animal tracks. This time of year my house does not see a lot of sunshine, only about 3 hours. So on sunny days, we try and sit out for the solid 20 min or so it bakes our porch. And here it is! Our full 20 min of sunshine.

Yeah, it gonna be far more than Vista. I wouldn't be surprised with: Easy Out, Vista, Come Around, Burma, Midway, Lower Main, Trails End, Tut's Lane, Sky Top, Coming Soon, Paradise, Razors Edge, Falls, Homestretch. Maybe Lower Sidewinder. I think that's everywhere they have the newer guns, amd I think they can run that all at the same time now

I guess. Though i don't expect a workout if it's Paradise and Vista. That said, I almost have a feeling they're gonna pump for a shit ton of coverage. It's no longer about 'opening first', but how much terrain is available. My liver will be 100% ready for the lot tho. I'm so ready.

That's a better snowmaking stretch than we had at any point last season I'm pretty sure.

Just have them all working would be nice, I can't recall who all was there but one night moons ago switch was missing a bunch in a row and it was dark af. If they are going all leds go color change so the whole hill is disco elysium

I kind of have to make opening day at Blue, in the past when my work schedule wasn’t as flexible, I’d be up for night skiing opening day if on a weekday at least a couple times. But I like to be there with Ashley and Jim and Justin Backover the WFMZ business reporter some know as channel 69 along with the Philly New York New Jersey and NEPA media..and what’s the center of it all..you guessed it folks, Blue mountain…Touch the Sky..Blue mountain.

It’s tough to when you’re an empath like me. I’m actually thinking about bringing a nice variety of snacks up to Blue for opening weekend. I know Enjorales likes Cashews and atomic Jeff likes Reece’s peanut butter cups. JFDan might even bring kettle chips..wooo…I’ve stopped taking most things seriously except the weather.

I don’t see Blue opening before next Friday. Friday opening would be better than Saturday as less busy and can finally start ducking out of work.

Honestly, im kinda hoping they just wait to open next Friday. Get a nice base on some key trails so they can hold on if we get some less than stellar snowmaking weather. Im not saying blow 3 trails 4' deep, but enough to get by just in case. I mean, maybe they can do that in 3-4 days, but at this point, why rush it. Does anybody know if they added equipment to lower main? Its been pointed out thats where the bottle neck for basically that entire side is. The entire season it was pretty thin there always.

This just gave me an idea. The parking lot X factor that we've been chasing ever since tableside Creme Brulé became the norm.

I would replace that brake for your vehicle with whatever i could find around laying my garage using flex seal, duct tape or super glue. For some reason i think i have heard people using some springs and stuff off of rat traps. not those dinky mouse traps, but those really big rat traps. hope that helps.
