Hey All, I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 720am and it was 33 degrees under mostly cloudy sky’s. In the house was everybody except Johnny law, Schif and Nancy. Second Civilan chair up the OG six to a very nice paradise..almost western groomer machine groomed packed powder conditions..second run a repeat of that then Midway to lower main and we saw Salty skiing down it from the lift Was ok conditions and not many people Some skied Chute which is now open and looked firm Lazy Mike is open and decent on the top 2/3 and lower section slick and narrow I went back for a few repeats on midway lower Main Street and paradise then to the lot around 930 and was a fantastic sausage Sunday with burgers dogs and pork with temperature rising through the 40s and sunnier skys JADIP9 points

Great day. Got there about 830 and left about noon. A couple of runs on Paradise and Lazy, but pretty much lapped Vista Midway, and LMS until too many Munchkins.4 points

Chute is firm was an understatement. It was rock-solid with cat track trenches on skiers left near the top. The bottom of Chute also choked down to a tight intersection with Midway and LMS which made for some spicy merges, carrying speed off Chute. The edges of Paradise kept getting better as the day progressed and the snow was softening up nicely, but didn't quite reach hero by 11 or so when we called it quits. Nowhere near as crowded as yesterday, so both Paradise and Burma didn't have near the load of sliders which made them treacherous yesterday around the same time.4 points

Best 2nd day maybe ever, to make some semi legit turns in formation on good snow wasn't even in my list of possibilities. There's nothing like the moment, that 1000th of a second where the ski really starts to accelerate and your brain screams go slower or we'll die and you know to ignore it and push faster. With lazy I think this is officially their best non mother nature assisted start.4 points

Hey All, I’m back from day two at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 720am and only Johnny law was in the house. The temperature was in the upper 20s under mostly cloudy sky’s. In the house were JFDan, Atomic Jeff, MBike Mike, Nastar Glenn, PaRidge, Falco, Charles, Shopey1080, BenM, BethlehemFord Crew, Mute, Boo, TP4, Becky Boo and many others. First run on Paradise was way better than expected, pretty smooth and edgeable and the run to ourselves. Next run a few people but very pleasent snow compared to yesterday. Easy out and especially vista had great packed powder. Midway and lower main was rough small cookies and boilerplate but we all agreed that we’ve skied worse. Back to Paradise most of the rest of the session. The snow stayed good and some runs were contested some were semi clear. The amount of people in the house seemed less than yesterday. Ended the morning with a Burma run. Nice snow on Burma and a ton of people on there. Fun parking lot had some chips and beers and stopped at Panera on the way back. Tomorrow might be warm enough for some hero snow. JADIP2 points

Super solid evening session. Was gonna take today off hoping to have the place to myself in the rain tomorrow but the m-w closing announcement forced me to pull an audible and get out for a couple hours. Arrived around 3:30 to the longest lift lines of the week albeit not bad at all. Lazy certainly helped spread people out some and everything was super soft and fun. Chute was a bit smooth but softened enough to not be concern holding an edge. JADIP!1 point

Skied 13 runs from 1-4 with nice conditions and zero lines. They now have Jane’s Lane and Easy Rider open along with One Park and snow blown into the trees alongside the latter two.1 point

Back from another day at Blue The True! Ran into Enjo, Ben and Jonny Law on my way in. Snow was really starting to soften up late morning and the cookies on Midway started getting squashed and it got quite better. Lift lines were surprisingly non existent for a sold out day but the trails were crowded. Chute and Lazy Mile should help spread people out tomorrow. Ended up with only 11 laps today with a bunch of homies from the mall. All in all JADIP.1 point

Today was a lot of fun. Really great first run on Paradise. Best run of the short year by far. Really good conditions up on vista as well. Midway and lower main were OTOH were the complete opposite. Excellent "summit s'mores latte" at first chair coffee. Major major props to Blue for upping their coffee game1 point

Make sure the shades are down and the door is locked…as tempting as it might be to do that in a cemetery I don’t wanna see your name in the paper.1 point

Had some vehicle troubles this morning. Went to take my truck only to find the power steering fluid in a puddle when I went to back out. Decided to get the truck to the shop first and ended up arriving at Blue at 12:42. The lines were UNBEARABLE as pictured below. 16 laps on firm but edgable typical conditions and will be back at it tomorrow this time in the AM!1 point

Conditions were just what I would expect on opening...Just going down Paradizzy you got like 5 different snow conditions....Wind was gusting pretty good and thought it was gonna be bad goin down but was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't..Super fun day with blue sky and it just feels right to be back in the lot again...1 point

Vibes were 11/10, its so good to see everyone and get back in the rythm where skiing is part of my day. I thought the snow was better than expected but only because I expected the worst and there were sections where it felt like real skiing. If they get midway/main open tomorrow that may really help thin the herds. Even on pdis anywhere where it turns was like cattle chute where the cows are only vaguely going in the right direction. For blue it was a good opening day, I even had my standard pass failure.1 point

Fun day of mayhem: I don’t know all the PASRs but had thirdish? chair. My expectations were too optimistic for no cookies Lol . Things softened up a bit around 11 . I found a little side country fun on the first inside turn of Paradise and the usual side of Vista. I had been having some back issues and took some meds the last few days so I skipped beers . I felt really good for the first day but when the voice in my head said “One more run “ I knew it was quitting time, made it to just short of noon . Tried checking my stats but got the upside down skier screen .1 point

They got a nice espresso machine In the valley lodge too, however, employees have no idea what they are doing or how to use it. They also use individually packaged pre-ground espresso beans (a real shame for such a nice machine). I tried to order a double shot of espresso, the girls behind the counter looked like deer in headlights and had to call the manager over for assistance. The manager then proceeded to ask if I could wait 15 mins while she re-programmed their point of sale system to ring me up….I left. 🤦♂️0 points
