Fun morning session at Blue Mountain...Brisk wind outa west...Saw some of the BFC in the lot other than that it was a pretty empty...Para was more on the sucky side of things..Again a cornucopia of conditions...Burma had good consistent conditions...Ended up just lapping Midway to LM....Conditions there were pretty fast..There were a few spots that had churned up granola type stuff...other than that it was really firm and pretty flat..Did not go down Chute(See pic)....Ended up doing a few runs with JL.... Rode from 9 to 11:30... They are making snow on TCS....It was above freezing and they had them fired up...Some looked OK...but the ones on Razors looked weak....But good for them for making an effort...Pretty sure I saw C1 a couple of times.....I think they will have things ironed out for the weekend...Should get some good production out of the guns...4 points

Surprisingly, a good day after all the rain, slopes were definitely pretty firm but good coverage. Like Mix, I lapped midway and lower main mostly, left about 1030. Light was pretty flat on lower main early, and the area above midway was boiler plate later on. A fair number of groomer gouges on Chute. The lodge/Vista area had slightly sticky blown snow, but was good grippy skiing. A lot of snow guns going. All in all, a pretty good morning. I think I would trade not having coming soon open if they run the two 6 packs all day. No lines at all today.4 points

Infinitely better than expected, Vista was actual good and Burma was blue good. If it was anything other than a rink I would have been happy but for the most part it was only super slick in the shady spots. I didn't ski Sunday so maybe I'm off but they didn't seem to lose much depth and guns were on full blast even if its just blowing water. Super nice out and no crowds just alot of regulars, I rode with the dude for an hr and right as he had to leave I ran into mixl and then when I had to go I ran into Tarpon and took a lap as he's off to the cape for a bit. Today was a really good Chinese buffet, I expected pretty much nothing but didn't want to leave when my time was up though compared to an actual good snow day or restaurant it's at best just ok3 points

lol in '86 I was probably 20-30 dead shows in... 🫠 I did watch the monkees, banana splits and sigmund and the sea mosters back in the day3 points

The monkees were my jam back in the day. True story...I was a wee one, but my parents took me to veterans stadium in 1986 (I think it was) to see them. Another true story...went to the Michael Jackson Victory tour also (83 or 84?) at JFK stadium.. I think I was 6. Lol I remember them both pretty well. Stay turned for "more crap about me that no one cares about but this is what happens when I'm stuck in the car waiting for my kid to finish volleyball practice."3 points

Hey All, It’s almost another weekend, and Blue mountain the true mountain reopens tomorrow. Anybody skiing Thursday-Sunday? I’m gonna try to get up Friday morning, Saturday for sure and Saturday night I have a Xmas party so prob sleep in on Sunday. Looks like a couple short snowmaking windows to help resurface the conditions. JADIP1 point

Nice report, I’ll be up at Blue in the AM..it’s funny how skiing works..I didn’t ski for 8+ months then skied three sessions and had four days off and I’m thristing for it and might even poke my head into the ski shop and look at gloves.1 point

@Johnny Law yeah I think was on either Wineskin or Whispering Jesse. Took one more run off Big Burn and ran through Sneaky’s Glades popped out and finished with the short Jack of Hearts bump run. When I got to the bottom of Big Burn I knew I didn’t have another one left in me as it’s 3200 from top to base. Scooted down to the base, almost ate shit on some out of nowhere rocks. Stopped to compose myself and heard some girls saying “Be careful lots of rocks here” to each other. Overall stellar day.1 point

Looking at the webcams, it appears the snow actually fared pretty well and they already had the guns on at 3:30am.1 point

If only I were 70 again... I hit Super Senior status a few years ago. I have two pairs of skis, both pretty old. Nordica Hell 'n' Backs for powder and K2 iKonic 84xTi for groomers. A third pair is still in use for the first few days of a season, but those have 300 days on them and decidedly showing their age. But the iKonics have 2 layers of metal and require aggression and confidence to perform, so they don't come out until I'm feeling that way.1 point

Yesterday and today we're not good. I'm not ready for brown town.1 point

Tomorrow, hopefully no more trees down on my driveway. Cut it up in the rain, skiing’s a priority 🙃 Hopefully Friday as well.1 point

Been slowly getting back to normal after I got a gel injection in my knee last week. Woke up following morning with my knee looking like the elephant man and had to use a hiking pole to hobble around my house. Didn’t feel quite ready for downhill, so I went to a new to me xc place about 45 min away. It’s free (donation based) and there are marked trails and they do groom it. I brought both my ancient skinny skis and my newer backcountry xc skis. I assumed my old ones could be used with my newer backcountry xc boots but I guess the metal clip is too long. So I used my fatties on the skate ski part of the trails. Also got to test out my new Brynje mesh base layer shirt. It def made a difference, my back was wet, but dried quick and my secondary layer was dry by the time I got home. Anyone try these or similar? Anyway, nice sunny day, temp was 15 with light wind felt good to move the legs1 point
