Pulled in around 7:20ish to another nice made made snowmaking cloud covering the mountain. Pretty cool when that happens. In the house was everyone except GSS, Tommy Moe and Mikela Schifren. Like yesterday, the OG 6 pack wasn't spinning so the summit supreme whatever is where we lined up. The old 6er stayed closed for a half hour or so it's was another slate of vista, Midway, lower main runs on tap to start. Conditions there were good to really good with some empty lower main runs that were pretty awesome. I also threw a chute run in there that felt like cardboard and looked like swiss cheese (complete with holes and yellow tint) with a nice cat track in the middle for stoke. Lazy was slightly less terrible than yesterday but indeed rocky. When the og 6er finally opened hopes were high for paradise being good. Those hopes were dashed quickly, very similar to yesterday. After another run or two off of the summit supreme I packed it up and called it a day while a bunch of the others went another run or two. Overall fun and better than most things on planet earth but idk, seems like conditions overall seem worse this season than seasons past.. It's early though so we'll see.9 points

Lower main I thought was the best all year, at least the first two were legit skiing with good grip and speed. It got progressively more scraped off as it went but it held on pretty well. Lazy baseballs had been milled down to pearl size so that was much improved and dis was OK. Lots of spots out and about where grip was nil made it a bit rough but generally it was ok. Chute was surface of the moon and not even good bad. I got super cold right at the end of the lot session which means I probably forgot to eat dinner so I stopped at Thai Diner in Coplay. The food is quite good but my God the decor........I like disney and I think if you can't enjoy the world that's when you old but even for me that's alot of Mickeys and princesses for a Thai restaurant5 points

Nice opening day at Roundtop. Got there at 740, big line at the lift already. Not much open- all the greens on skiers left, Upper and Lower Lafayette and Minuteman. They also had a small hike park. It’s a nice little mountain, seems to be well run. Looks like some good tailgating there, as well. I wouldn’t make a special trip out here just to ski, but I was out here visiting, and it was a fun day.2 points

Hey All, I’m back from another morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 720am and it was 13 degrees with a low layer of fog below mostly sunny sky’s. Everybody was in the house except Root, Nancy, Schif, Salty, NMSki, PSYFly and Enjorales. The OG six pack was initially down so began on the super summit safari which was stopped for a lengthy amount of time the first ride up. Easy out had some sugar, vista was firmish groomed, midway was the same slickness as yesterday and lower Main Street wasn’t bad. I didn’t ski lazy mile but heard it was cookies…Falls is open for race training. I continued skiing midway to lower Main Street and it was busy with race team kids and lots of traffic. Around 9ish the OG six pack opened so went to Paradise which was cookies top to bottom. It was good to get out but conditions weren’t very good. I am happy that they continue to blow snow with snowmaking on lower sidewinder, Razors, Cursis cabin and a few other spots. I hungout in the lot for about an hour and the rising sun warmed things up to almost 30 degrees. JADIP2 points

I feel the weather today turned what could have been a meh day into a kinda fun day....It was cold but the sun at the top felt nice.....Paradise has been in that condition for quite a few days....Lazy is it's identical twin....Thought they would have plowed out Come a round by now... Midway/LM delivered again....Burma was good too....Feels good being on snow on a regular basis...2 points

I thought today was terrible but great. Everything other than main was not good at all but main was fast and it felt like 3/4 real skiing which was super nice. Lazy continues to be astonishingly bad, like how kinda bad so I'm voting open widow/curtseys/raceway. Tonight they should do really well and get good production2 points

Today was fun despite lift issues, awful conditions on lazy and less awful conditions Paradise. Lazy went from bad to Detroit rock City. I think it was the first time I've seen cookies go from bad to worse. Usually it's the opposite. That said, vista, easy out, lower main and even chute were really good...as was the company for course2 points

Day 5 (yesterday). Empty again. Can't imagine why🤣. This was before it got bad. It normally improves. Not sure why I'm handling it better this year. PXL_20241213_185017910~3.mp42 points

Sunday, Dec. 15 Out for a couple of hours, started about 10:30. Lot across from the lodge was 3/4 full. Lodge itself was pretty quiet. Lapped One Park and Demattes. Blowing snow on the crossover from e mtn to top of Challenge. Snow conditions were pretty pristine, firm with a nice carvable cover. Still only 2 rails on One Park.1 point

I just drank a lot last night, no crazy Matt Edge/Falco activities lol but I was legit drunk at Ski thirty and went back to sleep until 1130 and still a little drunk at 1pm. Would have been nice to also go to karaoke last night with other homeys and also ski this AM I don’t know coplay or catty or Northampton at all. I never go off MacArthur road except maybe to Arby’s and the Whitehall post office.1 point

@Johnny Law yeah I think was on either Wineskin or Whispering Jesse. Took one more run off Big Burn and ran through Sneaky’s Glades popped out and finished with the short Jack of Hearts bump run. When I got to the bottom of Big Burn I knew I didn’t have another one left in me as it’s 3200 from top to base. Scooted down to the base, almost ate shit on some out of nowhere rocks. Stopped to compose myself and heard some girls saying “Be careful lots of rocks here” to each other. Overall stellar day.1 point

If only I were 70 again... I hit Super Senior status a few years ago. I have two pairs of skis, both pretty old. Nordica Hell 'n' Backs for powder and K2 iKonic 84xTi for groomers. A third pair is still in use for the first few days of a season, but those have 300 days on them and decidedly showing their age. But the iKonics have 2 layers of metal and require aggression and confidence to perform, so they don't come out until I'm feeling that way.1 point

The daily happenings of living rural. The road off the highway to my neighborhood is 4 miles of twisties. Some sections are always icy because they don’t get sun. A propane truck skid off the road into the river the other day. Surprisingly the driver was just banged up. Yesterday they closed the road all day to extract the truck.0 points
