  1. A little delay this morning in getting the new six pack going so I headed over to the old six pack and did a first run down lazy. Everything on the west side of the mountain was pretty well groomed. Pretty quiet on the slopes until about 10:30, when things started getting a little fluffy except for chute, midway and lower main. Didn’t get over to Paradise until later, and it was a little fluffed up also. Ski patroller said they were hoping to get the quad running before the holidays. Bunch of whales on TCS Challenge and Curzi’s cabin looks like they could be groomed out and open by this weekend.

  2. Another nice day today. Paradise a little bumpy and had some cookies this morning, but it did improve

  3. My friend from Denver asked if she took a personal day from work, would I meet her at Copper. Took about 2 hours 20 min and as I pulled into the free lot with a line of cars, she was right behind me, good timing! Parking was very full but the runs were not. First run off the American flyer lift and it was in the shade (and a popular lift) and it was all scraped off and icy. Blech. We decided to try and find some better snow. We went on American Eagle lift and the one above that and the snow was so much better. Did mostly all ungroomed runs all morning. Lift lines were about 1-2 minutes and never full chairs. Making snow all over the place for the holiday. Last run we did the bumps were bigger then expected. Her and I both got the CARV gen 2 on their Black Friday sale. I have only used it 2 days but love all the info and stats it provides. 4th ski day wearing my mesh base layer and can confirm its awesomeness for keeping you dry. Would not make a habit out of the long drive to ski, but it was great to not ski alone. No snow in the forecast which is a bummer.

  5. By the time I got there at 1230 the fog had lifted and the snow was soft with the exception of Modway was a bit crunchy. Beautiful afternoon of Spring skiing without goggles or turtle fur.

  6. I thought the conditions were excellent. I even went down Chute, which was ok.

  7. CBK only has two lifts. They don't want their fixed grips anymore. Try running a place the size of CBK with two lifts this is what you get.

  9. W.J.W. I paid good money for a Camelback add on. I am so triggered right now that I want tendies for pain and suffering.

  13. That's rad, they are greasing their squeaky wheels @GrilledSteezeSandwich . I was triggered at Hershey Park on Saturday because all the coasters were closed down except Laugh Track. And my $10 hot cocoa was ice cold. Hershey corporate management delivered with a free pass to return so that's pretty radical

  16. Pulled in around 7:20ish to another nice made made snowmaking cloud covering the mountain. Pretty cool when that happens. In the house was everyone except GSS, Tommy Moe and Mikela Schifren. Like yesterday, the OG 6 pack wasn't spinning so the summit supreme whatever is where we lined up. The old 6er stayed closed for a half hour or so it's was another slate of vista, Midway, lower main runs on tap to start. Conditions there were good to really good with some empty lower main runs that were pretty awesome. I also threw a chute run in there that felt like cardboard and looked like swiss cheese (complete with holes and yellow tint) with a nice cat track in the middle for stoke. Lazy was slightly less terrible than yesterday but indeed rocky. When the og 6er finally opened hopes were high for paradise being good. Those hopes were dashed quickly, very similar to yesterday. After another run or two off of the summit supreme I packed it up and called it a day while a bunch of the others went another run or two. Overall fun and better than most things on planet earth but idk, seems like conditions overall seem worse this season than seasons past.. It's early though so we'll see.

  17. The few times I've been to RT on the way home from the DC area, I've seen people tailgating. Parking doesn't get any closer than it does there, though. The place is nothing special but somewhere new is always nice.

  18. Real nice time yesterday on the two open runs from 12 to 4. Minuteman got a bit skied off on the headway but there was nice snow on skiers right, which is also where the softest snow was on the bumped up Upper Lafayette. This is better terrain than what they have open so far at JF.

  19. Yeah Hershey closes their coasters when it's below 37 or 38 degrees or something. End of next week looks to be warmer, if you go back then, more should be open. Not sure if you've been on wildcats revenge yet but it's probably my favorite in the park

  20. James the Wu from Oz clan got stuck and evacd from the lift at CB yesterday. He said it took 3-4 hrs and super sucked. At the end they got some free tendies at least.......I was trying to ask c1er if he got stuck but I was on the wrong side of the chair.
