paradise had the best snow. Main was good, Midway to lower main good. Switch was "Gnarly" per DW. The rest was just firm. Honestly though, its hard to be unhappy as to where we are currently with trail count. Last year at this time we started losing trails off of an already low trail count.4 points

Hey All, I’m back from the first holiday session of the year. I arrived at the lower lot at 7:17am and it was 16 degrees with some fog and a rising sun. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, Falco, Dirtwolf, BenM, Mixilplix, PARidge and some others. First OG six pack and the guns were blazing on Challenge, Sidewinder, learning area and some random spots. First run on Razors was ok, a little firm in spots and mini crumbles. Next run repeated razors. Next run Main Street was ok on the top half similar to razors and lower part was a carpet. Next run repeated Main Street. Then took the quad to Coming soon and it was super firm not good but lower paradise was a carpet. Paradise had the nicest conditions on the hill but also the most crowded run. Crowded were light which is typical in the morning on holidays as the Herbs don’t arrive until later. I also skied nightmare dreamweaver for the first time this season and thought it was ok, not that slick until the last corner but so so dark. I didn’t get on lazy today. All in all a fun session, I managed 11 runs by 940am, had one beer in the lot and now at work to pay a few bills. Hopefully no walk ins or I’ll have to sell them. Ski some of yall tomorrow same time same place. JADIP3 points

This kind of sums everything up pretty well. Nothing is spectacular, but there is enough variety to not want to just bail. So-so all around. Could be (and has been in previous years) much worse at this point in the year. Glad I'm not a cbk passholder. Ski y'all mañana.2 points

Fun day... Paradise was the best run of the day by far. Enjoyed razors a lot as well. Skied that a few times. Main was also good. Was nice skiing new terrain but the new terrain was meh. Free fall was kinda bad as was switchback, which seems like its open prematurely (it's kinda narrow). Lazy was nice. Overall a fun day that looked and felt like winter in the mountains. Aesthetically pleasing I'm sure for the masses skiing this week. Back tomorrow at some point2 points

Anyone that goes unconscious really should get their head checked, regardless of wearing a helmet or not. Undiagnosed brain bleeds can kill even after a few days of feeling ok.2 points

Yes. Some major tailgating opening day. And it’s literally steps to the lift from that lot. It’s actually a nice little mountain. I’ll go back when everything is open.1 point

There won't be any more pics for a while. Christmas week. Might go again 12/30 and regret it. Otherwise, 1/1.1 point

One of the girls that used to ride at Bear fell (in Colorado) no helmet. Undiagnosed brain bleed, she finally went to the hospital 2 weeks later, her friends forced her to- she wasn’t acting right. She’s still a bit of a mess, and it’s been a couple years.0 points

I heard that camelback is sucking majorly so far this season with only four runs open so far and not even the cliffhanger/nile side. I guess they ran out of water in their snowmaking lagoons.0 points
