  4. Loved today! It was nice to have so many runs open and so few people. soggy and wet, but worth it. wish I had a clear lens on my goggles though. @enjoralas made some delicious meats — as usual. But I think I was most impressed that he’s able to get the tent collapsed by himself.

  6. i see lots of stuff that says January is going into the freezer. Probably colder than we really need, but it might take the guess work out of what type of precipitation might fall.

  8. Rolled in around 7:45ish to 33 degrees/light rain and fog on the mountain...It was interesting how the fog/mist would move around ....Sometimes you would run into weather next time it was gone...Snow was super nice/smooth......Could do pretty much do what ever you want.....Low crowds added to the fun...All lifts in operation....Moisture was starting to creep in so was gonna call it but ran into Shif and Nancy and did a bunch of runs with them...Back in the lot @enjoralas had the meats goin on under a tent...Big thanks to him for all he does...Today was a good day....

  9. so, oddly enough, no ice on the BBQ, which is what i use as a gauge. no ice on the deck. no ice what so ever on the truck. but the untreated roads in the development were slicker than snot on a door knob. i bailed on the 534 route after i read that 534 was Icy death on FB, but thats kinda normal FB talk from people up here. took the turnpike down to palmerton after sliding out of the development onto 903. Now reading the fun comments on the community FB page about how people are going to sue the POA for not treating the roads. People up here are truly assholes.

  11. I broke my little finger running into a French tourist at the bottom of the Nile Mile High ski trail at Camelback. I won't be back unless they make improvements.

  12. JF and BB had were both lined with fan guns (all trails) that cranked out serious snow I wanna say around 2010ish. But (if I remember correctly) When peak resorts made the purchase of hunter, Mt snow and some other places in NE.. Peak shipped a good chunk of the fan guns up north (I'm fairly certain hunter got the majority of them). I think they still have some...idk (it's been a minute) but they had to revert to the old school portables again after that on a good chunk of terrain. That particular purchase didn't help JFBB from snowmaking perspective.

  13. It's not but its more open as a % than JF. The only portable guns left at JF are the little tripod mounted guns. Didn't see any of the portable fan guns. They are going VERY slowly with snowmaking. They had dragged the tripod guns over to T-bolt so I guess we can expect that sometime in early-mid January.
