Rode with non-vt mark and c1er. Sky was grey and crowds were moderate for a Monday but non existent compared to the weekends. I went challenge, Razors, nmdw then side and all were absolutely perfect cord to just arc the fuck out of everything. I was antsy in the pantsy to turn the throttle up to 400 and it was so nice to be able to put the throttle down without having to dodge endless Jerry's. I went nmdw again but it had started to cookie up some, this and the coming soon headwall got some light pebs once the top layer was off but the ditch was full on boxer rebellion. Super spongy scratchy snow and the right side walls are so big you think you're out in red Square. Main, Curtis where all total boner city but switch was nearly perfect. Excellent snow with nobody home and your coming out of that like Franz Klamerr at Kitzbühel. Super good morning and extra nice after all the crowds to unclog my chi. Hopefully the minor brick up tonight doesn't add a crunchy layer.12 points

Pretty good day at Montage. White lightning and smoke were a little icy but not too bad. Boomer had bumps, which were fun for a few runs. Best run was rattler/cannonball, both perfectly groomed. Did a few runs off the long haul lift but mostly stuck to the lower mountain. Stopped at Arcaro and Genell in Old Forge for lunch6 points

FYI School groups coming up during the day the next 3 days. I'll be up on Thursday morning to check on @Boo Bearand her chaperone skills with the middle school kids. Kudos to Blue to give the kids a free rental, lesson, and day pass. Some of them would probably never have the opportunity to try skiing or snowboarding otherwise. That being said, I hope they stay on the learning hill.6 points

Hey All, I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 720am and it was 28 under partly sunny skies. There was quite the back up for first chair on the OG six pack with a couple hundred people already in the house. Sexond civilian six pack, and I skied challenge first which was a western groomer. I repeated that again and still real nice the Sidewinder which was nice. Main Street was already, a little pebbly in the middle. Coming soon was ok but very busy and lower paradise was wall to wall people. I skied sidewinder again and wasn’t that good kind of thick and icy aka frozen and loose granular. Lazy had nice snow and I ended the session with Chute which was pretty smooth. Fun parking lot and was taco Sunday which was radical. All in all crowded but nice snow conditions at least initially. I’m gonna try to come back tomorrow for opening cause the weather looks real nice and work will be there later. JADIP3 points

Switched it up a bit today - Forewent chariots of fire down razors and hit sidewinder first run / perfect carving cord / funneled perfectly to lower sidewinder at speed - then switchback all to myself / mixed it up and completed the entire tour/de blue (with exemption of smooth shave) - awesome conditions on every trail - hats off to Nick and Blue Mountain operations - nice job on snow production - bailed at 9:45 ,3 points

Razors was surprisingly quiet and even the top headway was grippy. Brought out my ancient slaloms after seeing the conditions yesterday morning, and skied until my legs got wobbly.2 points

Whitetail is pretty nice - been there 4x. Modern facilities and terrain is segregated by level of difficulty, with less crowds in expert area But it does get crowded on prime weekends and holidays Nice place to go for warmer weather turns when it is frigid elsewhere but southern exposure slope does not make for a long season2 points

Nice morning for sure. I didn’t have the right lens for the flat light so I didn’t feel comfortable in 5th gear. Racers 👍, then sampled Barneys… meh . The ditch was a little slick so way up the sides for speed control. I spotted some nice side country on racers so last two laps were a little glade fun . Tonight should be pretty fun but but I need to get some work done unfortunately.2 points

Super easy hike. Took probably 30 minutes, but I would have done it in 15 if not with my son. Very flat and there a couple parts where you can put the skis/board back on and ski across.2 points

Camelback is a lead story on WNEP news station this morning. They plan to have 25 trails open this weekend, wow just wow! They are saying how grate everything at Camelback is and how hard everyone has worked. And I just happened to find a grate photo of their lead media public relations representative:2 points

Definitely less busy than blue. It's a fun place when they have a good amount of trails open. It's a little over 3 hours with no stops but I stopped for gas and breakfast sandwiches. I'm staying near montage tonight and riding a few hours there tomorrow2 points

The current setup of the skeleton funnels for the dumpsters doesn’t make much sense. They need to attach the canvas that make up the funnels1 point

Maybe people should be respectful, and not throw their trash off the lift or in the lot. I’m not sure how you could fix or change that.1 point

It’s supposed to be cold Thursday, so I think conditions will be good. Midweek so hoping not too crowded.1 point

My brah says Blue Mountain and Camelback are for sale. He heard it from a reliable source, according to my brah. So far the only people that I know that know are myself and @TeleJim1 point

Snow was great but the crowds were in full force. They should have been matching people earlier to keep the lines down but liftie Bob said he didn't the employees to do it. Enjo continues to outdo himself which the foot. The tacos were great and little Boo enjoyed all the olives.1 point

Montage was ski on most of the day with a few chair wait at times. 100% open and conditions held up all day.1 point

First couple were le tits, maybe even better than yesterday but it lasted all of 20 mins and my lord the crowds. It was busy by 750 which has to be a record. I thought nmdw was the best but probably anything early was excellent. The mowed down the little riser on switch which is mad disappointing but I doubt blue was thinking of my boost. The true star is today was the tacos, super props to enjo, they were banging and there is nothing like great food and shooting the shit after skiing.1 point

It was fine from 8:00 to about 9:18. Then it became a zoo thanks to Camelback, so I quit and sat in an Adirondack chair drinking coffee and ran into Grilled Steeze Sandwich getting off the mountain. Then I ate some tacos which were grate1 point

That really stinks. I got a 3 day Epic NE local pass. Spent a day at Roundtop and going to Whitetail Thursday. Roundtop seems like a nice little mountain, staff was friendly, and they’re 100% open now. That being said, I only got the pass because my son lives out that way, we can ski together when I visit, and I have a free place to stay overnight. I always like checking new places out, but wouldn’t get an Epic pass otherwise.1 point

Why can’t it just be…”I skied blue?” Why add the $40 part? Seems weird.1 point

Since you ask it is gonna be Roundtop for me on Sunday - also 100% open including the elusive “steepest in PA” headwall of Upper Gunbarrel Did my Blue - probably for the year - on a crowd free weekday with a $40 ticket1 point

That would be rad. I 'member when everyone was up in arms about Blue being sold to KSL. And look at things now. This is probably the best season at Blue ever. The only thing they should do is pave the parking lot so my ski boots don't get muddy.0 points

Greek was a mess first thing...apparently they only run the quad for the first hour or so and all other lifts open later. I'm sure next weekend at blue will be crowded but I'll be there anyway0 points
