Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 720am and it was in the mid 20s under overcast sky’s. In the house was everybody but PSUFlyGuy, Schif, Nancy and NMSki. Second civilian OG six pack to challenge which was very nice, sidewinder was also real good as was switchback and especially upper Main Street. Coming soon was a little scrappy but not terrible, the only real bad conditions were on lazy. There were crowds but not as bad as last weekend, I think because there’s some rain in the forecast today and also Ikon passes are blacked out. I did an easy out to vista to Burma run for the culture and it was a clusterfuck but decent snow and ended on Main Street. Fun parking lot with some beers and snacks. Now at work counting money, on the drive back I had to pee so bad I almost pulled into a Jewish cemetery in Whitehall to relieve myself but held it in. JADIP7 points

Solid morning riding at Blue. Some crumbs and minor slick spots here an there but nothing to stop the fun. For the first hour you could turn it up to 11 and not worry. Was on the quad when I saw them drop the rope for NMDW and was tempted but some inner voice said don't..At 10 the lines were almost to the scanners so it was time to bounce... I'm dosin' on the hopeium with this storm... Really want to get some non resort riding in..5 points

Today was awesome, snow was generally pretty good and while it was busy the lines were not terrible until 10. It will be nice once nmdw cookies break down and there is another way down but pretty much everything was worth it. I love that you can feel the energy and excitement with tomorrow's potential storm, in like electricity in the air.5 points

I learned full Ikon was not blocked, only base. Great day skiing with the kids. The crowd was better than expected after last weekend. Right side line of MS lift was wide open and we lapped that after 10 since our friends don’t get VIP. Everyone just kept left for no reason.4 points

It was Whitetail. It’s definitely not a day trip, I did like the mountains surrounding it.3 points

nws actually dropped where i'm at a little bit between 10 am and 4pm reports. oddly though, the low-chance of high end went up (10% chance of around 14"). map still saying near 8". unfortunately for you all, i just put tire chains and the blade on the lawnmower. i also put driveway markers in ... so plan on 2".1 point

@GrilledSteezeSandwich I have 5 buddy passes for Camelback for when you go on Monday with your wife, nephew and wife's boyfriend. There's even an extra pass for one of your wife's boyfriend's friends.1 point

Well, the problem was the snow was beautiful, then all of a sudden a sheet. That along with the surprise whales and flat light. All in all, a fun mountain if you’re out that way already.1 point

Did a rare brunch time session at Blue ..11-1...Everything was pretty much spot on. Beautiful day to have some fun on the snow...Most of the time you could turn it up and live the moment...Crowded at base but riding single I never waited more than a couple...Some bits of glacier showing through at Falls/TCS/Bottom of Switch when I left.. Talked to an old dude(with Euro accent) at the top of Switch cross country skiing. Said he regularly goes from top lodge to OG6 via connector/Tuts lane..Asked him if ski patrol ever stopped him. To that said why would they. I told him of Blues policy then talked skiing.. Next time down Tuts he was talking to a patroller...1 point

Had a great day today at Whitetail. A lot of what Icecoast said is true. Some really icy spots, that we contributed to them blowing water out of the guns and the park lift chair no longer has chairs- just an old lift station with a concrete counterweight. And the layout is really good, everything on skiers right is beginner, gradually work to more difficult terrain as you go to skiers left. The steeps are nice, and blues a little steeper than at home. They had some surprise whales on a couple trails, and light was flat, so hard to see. Got some air off one, - accidentally, but didn’t stick the landing.1 point

BC is a fun mountain, I learned to ski there when I was in my mid 40’s 😳. So has a special place in my heart. They’ve always made good snow. The runs leave a little to be desired. I’ve always wanted to stay in the hotel and swim in the outdoor heated pool in the winter.1 point
