C1er and BFG crew in the house, otherwise low crowds. It was grey and super flat light to start but the sun started working its magic around 10 and things improved quickly. Generally the quad side stuff was quite firm, lumpy side is one of my favorites but with the flat light I haven't figured out a rhythm yet and they are monster up top where you can only do 5mph. The main st side was much better and main or the variation with Raceway/midway/chute held grippy turns. They put a booter back in at main center of switch which is most enjoyable. As the sun worked the surface more and more the hardness started to evaporate to softer slushy like turns and it was dope left side all the way home. Not sure what tomorrow holds but it could be better than you think and they got the new sixer running.3 points

Noisy day, lots of scraping and scratching but surprisingly edgeable . Shiny snow in between with some carnivorous traps set. Lower main behind the guns was ok while the sun was out. Barneys lured some unsuspecting newbs in for a couple yard sales. I made three turns and bailed. Lots of people walking down. I sampled the ditch entrance with a pole plant, no bueno! Challenge had really nice snow on skiers right but lurking between razors was a gully that when your slough went in passed you. The light was a little flat in places. I could see the cat tracks coming through on the chute and midway before I bailed around 3:30. Not too bad considering. A bit better than expected IMG_8511.mov2 points

We decided to bail on today due to a variety of reasons, which include Jim being injured, the wind holds (including transfer gondola), $30 paid parking, and a long drive after skiing. If Telejim was uninjured and there were no wind holds, we would have skied and rode. Finally, a long awaited pic from this trip:2 points

It's good! spring like and consistent throughout. Nice to see the rollers are back on sidewinder! Feels like they're bigger and badder than ever before2 points

I can't wait to ski the root rollers on Switchback before the Eagles game. I'll be singing "I believe I can fly" just like the Eagles when I catch mad air on a @RootDKJ Roller2 points

Hey all, back from a perder session at Stowe, the true mountain. In da house was me, some brahs, and Telejim. We arrived in da house at 900 under cloudy skys and some perder flakes. First run down Chin Clip was mad steezy. They remembered to groom Clin Clip today so there werent any of those @moe ghouls on it. That was sick. Then Gondalier was rad. And also Cliff Trail. Then I meandered to Four Quadrunner and skied back to the gondoobie where I met my brahs. My goggles kept fogging up so I got triggered and had to go in the lodge to find a heat source. Took a break in the Spruce Lodge and while sipping a hot cocoa with little marshmallows, received bad news that @TeleJim hurt his knee badly on Perry Merrill so he's out of commish for the rest of the season. Next skied some more and soon going to Piecasso after going to pick Telejim up from the hospital. Overall a rad day except that Telejim got injured. JADIP WTGAI Ice is Nice1 point

Rumors..and they can do a hotel or condos/quarter shares whatever but not within a certain distance of the Appalachian trail in the valley no problem but they wanted to tie hotel and condos in with slopeside and it was shot down. My dad even signed up for the email list for the condos I didn’t have the credit score back then for mountainside living and now I can finance a boat and a mail order bride and I don’t care for the salt lyfe1 point

If KSL or whoever went in without knowing they couldn't put Lodging/Water park in is just super dumb..1 point

i dont buy into any of this KSL wants to sell, and Barb wants to buy it back. BS. Barb should continue to wipe her ass with $100 bills, and smile. And, i still dont really understand who owns the property, BMMR whatever, but KSL manages it? i dont know. but after putting in a lift of some big $$$$, i cant see how selling it, unless they are cool taking a loss, would work out. its like restoring an old hot rod, putting 100K into it, thinking you will get your money back out of it.1 point

Camelbacks always sucked…I just think it’s sucked worse this year. Almost anybody would do a worse job running Blue…if Vail buys Blue you’ll miss these current times.1 point

Def not a Meh day. Saw JL laying down railroad tracks Midway to lower main. Spent most of the morning on Razors, NMDW and Challenge. Fresh edges on narrow skis, smooth slopes, nothing better. Just got sunnier as the morning wore on. Overheard a convo on the lift about KSL trying to sell blue because they can’t put a hotel (and probably no water park) up. Settling in to watch the Men’s Worlds Super G on skiandsonowboard.live.1 point

Got my new boots from Burton yesterday. They even gave me expedited shipping. Sending my jacket back to Picture tomorrow, they'll repair or replace it. Pretty happy my broken gear from last week is getting taken care of at no cost to me1 point

Good: I got to ski basically all my favorites..Hobacks, Saratoga bowl, St. John’s Extension, Bivoac, Laramie Bowl, Grand, Some Woods, some bumps, some fast groomers, lots of pow… Bad: JH is super popular some runs I could go Mach looney down years ago now mostly busy…any pow day thunder lift super long line…less cirque laps.. Ugly: Village parking lot get it together $35-$45 a day plow that shit more than once a decade. Took till the last day till I saw lines. And even though I didn’t fall down one time the entire trip I walked past all the places I’ve eaten shit like in the street in front of Mexican restaurant, on the wooden deck in front of the mangy moose and in various on mountain restrooms even a cafeteria that no longer exists. And the pizza land crust side down at least.1 point

As always I’m going to post the Good the Bad and the Ugly…while things are fresh… Good: Jeep Wagoneer rental car…plenty of space for five people and five pairs of skis…was only $50 in gas for 7 trips to the mountain and a couple back and forths to the airport. Bad: Walking around town a few days..very hard to keep feet dry..never walked on my heels so much..I should bring boots to JH but I feel like I’d jinx it and it wouldn’t precipitate. Yesterday I saw a homey with plastic bags wrapped around his shoes and Yak Traks… Ugly: Cue the dude looks like a lady song for the blonde in the singles line…always a letdown when the fly shawty boo you see from afar turns out to be a dude…nice hair though.. Good: The Crew…Atomic Jeff has done this trip with me 15 times…and still finding more nooks and crannies and he’s a great Chauffeur. This was Jack Frost Dans fourth trip to Jackson hole and he’s always on time, a strong skier obviously and good company. Nazareth Jay was the wild card and Also his fourth trip to JH..everybody likes Jay, he’s super positive and enjoys skiing…he’s always been a giant GSS fan except when my ski jacket smells like fromunda cheese…lots of laughs that’s for sure. Dirtwolf booked JH like a week ago and had a short window but miraculously made it work…and got the two best powder days of the trip…with on time openings. Talk about catching lightning in a bottle. 48 hours in Jackson hole he got to hit up the mangy, snake river brewery, Mexican restaurant and Silver Dollar bar with a hippie band playing..and couldn’t hit up the Cowboy wouldn’t be right without NMSki…and NMSki was there in spirit..he’ll be back next year and hopefully Mute, Toast, Ridge, angryHugo, MBike, Nastar Glenn, Johnny Style and anybody else who wants to go…no friends on a powder day, I ditched Jay then got ditched in the same 10 minute period…and if I’m slow I wanna get ditched. Didn’t matter the boys saved me freshies in the Hobacks.1 point

Dang. I hope you brought your own Bibles and also that Atomic Jeff brought one to read in your hotel rooms. What time does breakfast start? One time in Vermont I had to wait until 730 for breakfast and first chair was at 800. I had to eat really fast or miss the perder1 point
