DMC, Don't worry about the folks saying nastiness about your mountain, we deal with it all the time.. Regardless of all this bickering, your point has come through as to what type of place Hunter (the mountain and town) is, and I plan to make my first visit and see for myself. This thread hasn't been a complete waste, as now I know a little better how to navigate the crowds, thanks!

I'm glad everyone who went had a good experience there. It's nice that the people who like talking face to face with representatives, and could use some nudging in the right direction, were able to go get what they needed. This is why ski shops will always be around, regardless of the alternatives.

I understood that to mean that if they had a large crowd, we could be hiking. Last time we carried them up with us, was probably easier than loading and unloading with them on.
