Did jeff just endorse something other than Blue?!?! Wow... Hell has frozen over.

Yeah I've been noticing those pics... Nice work MtnBiker!

I will be home from Maine on Saturday, and will have them in the mail by sunday. You should have them by Tuesday. I'm actually pretty far behind on the orders, and will try to get everyone's out this weekend.

Yeah, things were very nice once I got going, and got the floating thing nicely. It was when I was stopped and went to push off to move that it felt like I was sticking to the ground. Maybe you're right and it has more to do with the snow than the equipment, thanks for the info! BTW, it was amazing skiing once I got moving, as that 8 inches was on top of 30 that they had 3 days ago.

Thanks 'dude! My skis just didn't feel right today... but it was a blast once I got them moving

There is a store here that has all that kind of stuff, what am I looking for? I've never waxed before... or would it be better to get a quick tune tomorrow during lunch or something?

I'm not a gear guru like some people here, so I figured I would post this question and see if anyone could tell me what's up. Today, conditions were beautiful, 8 inches or so of powder, and much more in many places. Temp was between 25-30. When I would stop, and try to start again, my skis would literally feel sticky, and I'd have to push pretty hard to get started. I had a quick tune done at blue about 4 ski days ago (just a sharpen/wax), and I have no clue if this problem is wrong wax, or no wax, or something different altogether. If anyone has any insight, let me know. Thanks!

I will definitely be up there next time! I really wanna see this place now. Hopefully they respond.

Good to hear! I guess they figure they couldn't make it to their pre-defined closing date with the snow they have.

Is this confirmed? seems late in the season for them to be blowing.

Sound like a good situation to get into crack...

Ok dood, I figure I'll answer because we know Jeff is a blue whore I used to go to CB all the time, and switched to blue this year. I personally haven't seen the liftlines at blue that you speak of, because I try to ski during off hours, but I'm sure they get bad, just as camelback does. I really like the mountain better than cb, because I like the longer runs and less runout. The quad services just about all of their terrain, there is only hiking involved if you want to get all the way back to the upper lodge from the quad. I am not a fan of the lower lodge either, it is quite small and I didn't enjoy their food much. However, I really like the upper lodge, as it has quite a bit more seating and much better food. I got bored far faster at cb than at blue, even though blue may seem to have less trails, they have just as many trails that you actually want to ski (come on... all those mid-mountain ones at cb that noone ever skis). Everyone has their preference, and I think if you're going to call one pocono mt. crappy, they all are. They're all similar, and face it, you're in PA. Go out and have fun wherever it is, and stop worrying about the little stuff.

A lot of golfers ski, and vice versa... It's a seasonal thing

Yeah... 110 replies is probably enough. Was a good topic while it lasted.

Hey, how about a little help out there!!!

Or take a trip a little further north for a couple of days and do some big mountain skiing -
They're still playing jimmy and johnny on the radio... I hear it every now and then. Sucky

3 weeks at cb? doesn't that get to be a bit much? don't you want to check out some other local or semi-local mountains? -
I think all crashes look pretty painful... I do like watching boardercross tho, it's pretty cool.

I think the 95-476 sounds like the best way by far, I just wasn't sure if they linked up. -
(Welcome to PASR!) Sorry, nothing useful to contribute here
