    Broken Boots

I agree with Sib, that just sounds like something that should never happen, even under hard use...
  2. But CB won't open till it's all groomed out so their rangers can ski it
  3. heading to blue shortly, hopefully they're doing similarly well!
  4. Wow that's pretty rough, especially compared to the 50's here... Anyway I have a deal for you. Let's trade 25 degrees, we'll give u warmth for the cold, and everyone will be happy
  5. Eh, it's powder at first it's only cement when that sun that they're famous for softens it up and then it freezes. Still better than this
  6. Dood, have u seen the weather? They have the most stuff in the poconos, give them a break for a little while.
  7. Heavenly (lake tahoe) has received 18 feet of powder since december 28th... god I need to get out of here...
  8. isn't it gonna be pouring rain wed and thurs? If not, are they gonna be there in the evening? I'd have to go after work.
  9. Thanks Skimom! I guess y'all will probably see me on demos for PASR day at Camelback...
  10. I don't think I would mind doing that, I just wonder about the selection of demos that they have, what I have seen before wasn't that much.
  11. Anyone know if Nestor's does any type of demo program? I'm looking to try some new shorter stix, and blue doesn't seem to do demo days so I'm looking for ski shops that do, even if they have one of those "u demo it, if u buy it we'll take the cost off the price of the ski" deals.

I assume you did well also Skimom?

    Great job, guys!
  14. Might be something they have an archive of if you email them and explain the situation...
  15. Do u think they'd get upset if I stood at the edge of the trail in my yellow jacket and whistled and waved at people?
  16. Enlighten us southerners....
  17. Thanks for the info... These guys were definitely wearing brown overalls, 3 sleds in a row, no whistles, horns or anything. They were on the inside of a turn on switchback (kind of understandable the way insides become outsides on that trail). I understand about needing to get some get-go uphill, but it honestly was startling seeing them pop out from nowhere... I guess that's just a bad trail for them to be on.
  18. Alright guys, I think this horse is dead enough.
  19. Maybe there could be a better way to do things, but the lollipops are commonly used at a lot of resorts with all different things on them. You should be used to reading them.
  20. Wow, that looks really cool... You carry a chainsaw arround?
  21. Actually, yes! I have to agree with the guy here... If there is a sign there, it is obviously there to tell you something. I've seen them say things from "expert only" to "cliff"... You should definitely know what it says before blowing by it.
  22. that would be pretty comical who knows what he drives?
  23. I see... stick away, just don't get caught
  24. Conserving snow is crap, especially in january... They are being tightwads, which is fine for running a business, but not a good way to keep skiers coming back.
  25. Just thought I would point out that blue has 29 of 30 trails open (only the pipe is closed, and has yet to be open this year), and Camelback has 7 of 33... I'm quite impressed with what blue has been able to do this year with getting and keeping terrain open.
