Sweet, good to know we have those type of eyes looking over here
-
Did you post your complaint on their board or leave your name? or did he read your story here?

Well, it looks like blue has taken a pretty aggressive stand on opening this year, with Burma Road and Raceway opening today... I wonder if it'll give them the edge or if it'll bite them in the ass with the weather coming in the next couple days.... I guess we'll see, but they're 50% open now, at least by trail count, and paradise was really looking like it had just about enough snow to open last night.

Ahh, skidude could tell you that story That is what the rangers at camelback do when they yell at your for something, in that particular case, not being able to avoid a dumbass on a double-black. I'm headed to blue now, later!

If anyone is going to be at blue tonight, I'll be there around 5:30... pretty ez to spot. Snag me and I'll hook you up with some PASR stickers!

Yeah! we have a dusting here right outside of northeast philly... hopefully it snows more over night!

LOL I definitely plan on getting my nephew a helmet when I bring him out this year.

Gotta love the effect of cold on batteries... Ski999 taught me a sweet trick last year... wrap one of those hand warmers around the battery for a few minutes.
-
What do people say about that risk vs the risk of injury without a helmet??
-
I'm planning on being at blue sunday night, hopefully that'll be nice... maybe monday night too

Wow, never really heard this... I've always heard that kids should wear helmets, and would guess that it's safer to wear them than not. Is the reason just the added weight, and saying a head jerk will hurt their neck? Interesting, any comments Skimom?

He's just a troll he wants to use cool words too, but knows nothing about skiing.

Justo, It is true, I am not familiar with teaching kids to ski, but I have heard that most of the programs for kids in the poconos act more as a babysitter than a teacher. I do want him to learn, but if they're gonna just hold onto him while I ski, I'd rather keep him. I have a season pass, so I don't mind going up, getting some hot cocoa, skiing for a half hour, getting more cocoa and going home. I got a lot of good pointers from people on this board (there is an old thread somewhere). We will see, maybe I'll take him once to see how he likes it, and then see how the lessons look after that. Thanks for the info

Sweet, thanks a lot for the info. So I will in fact need to go to the window and ask for a ticket for him then. I appreciate the help.

If anyone has brought young children to blue, I have a couple questions on their procedures. (maybe applicable everywhere... I'm new to this kid stuff ) On Blue's site it says that children under 6 are free when accompanied by an adult, are they going to give me a problem because I have a season pass, or do they mean a "paying" adult. Even tho they're free, do they need some type of lift ticket to get on the mountain? Any knowledge is appreciated, as I'm trying to get my 4 and a half year old nephew on skis this year and want to know what I'm in for from the mountain.
