Like has been said, camelback is not a bad mountain, just bad management. Blue is very nice, and I've heard great things about Elk, but haven't been there yet.

First, let me say I usually hate when people respond to posts like these with a post of no real value, but I think it's necessary in this case... slow down! Ahh, welcome to the dark side EMTP. I switched to blue last year for the same reasons listed and because it's a good bit closer (75 miles as opposed to 110). Still a bit of a hike, but worth it to be on the snow. I think that NY/NJ area is really moving westward into the poconos... if you want rural, go live with sib
