It's basically just a time for a bunch of us to get together and enjoy some company of snow lovers on the slopes. Some people love to hang in the park, others love to race, but it's more about hanging out and enjoying skiing with others that share the passion than it is about anything else.

Well, the numbers he gave are actually just for descent, so it wouldn't be used for speed since you're probably going much faster horizontally than you are vertically (unless you're cliff jumping ). But, if you multiply FPM by 60, and divide by 5280, then you'll get MPH.

Looks like $38 for a 4 hour ticket, or $45 for an all day Or $32 and $34 respectively under age 21. No, there are no requirements whatsoever (you will have to buy a lift ticket, but that's not for us ). Just look for the group of us with stickers on our helmets and such, we're pretty easy to find! Come up and introduce yourself, and take some runs with us.

I'm glad I wasn't the only sissy this morning... I love to be out on days like this, and was really bummed not to be. I feel so old.. 2 or 3 years ago I wouldn't have even thought twice about heading up this morning... But, today, I found myself thinking about responsibilities to work, and worrying about my safety on the roads... God, having a sense of responsibility sucks!

The staff here really likes to believe that we can pretty much allow the users to moderate themselves which is basically what happened here. All the staff wants is to be part of the community. Jeff and I originally started this board just to have somewhere new to call home, with no other reason for starting it. We had Nick, Glenn, Adam, and Rob come on board and all any of us want to do is talk about snow and meet people. Thanks for coming along!

I was awake and ready to go at 6am... I looked outside and saw it snowing like hell, I put on the news and saw the turnpike and northeast extension moving under 40 mph, with multiple accidents up the Northeast extension. I have a 95 mile drive from L-town to Blue, and had to be at work in Edison NJ by 2:30 this afternoon. I decided it would be a bad idea to try it... It sucks, I really wanted to ski today. I should be up with Brie on Sunday night.

Yeah, the sporting goods chain stores are starting to carry some of the good quality ski/snowboard stuff now, so it's nice to not necessarily have to pay shop prices (although if you need info, a shop would be MUCH more knowledgeable). I picked up a nice new jacket a couple of weeks ago at Dick's, I'd check the chains out for apparel.
