    Doug vs. Jeff

You will see steady progress, and will have a bronze before you know it.

    Doug vs. Jeff

Good work, Doug, excellent first try! With a little focus on turns, you will close the gap with Atomic. And, good work keeping your rival in line, '999. The handicapping looked a bit though, but what are you guys complaining about? A female handicapper? Where are the comments about how hot she was?

    Doug vs. Jeff

Any word on the Doug v. Atomic race yet?????

    Doug vs. Jeff

Padding is warmer and it gives you some protection if you crash.
  5. They cancelled NASTAR for the week - they never do that. Conditions must have been abysmal for them to cancel the whole week. Let's hope it gets cold enough for BC to really crank it out.

    Doug vs. Jeff

Seriously, don't get one if you only aspire to do local NASTARS. If you want to do the NASTAR Nationals or other races (ASRA, USSA Masters), you should get one. In another month, companies will start to drop the price. I got mine for under $100 at the end of the season. They cost several hundred early on. Reliable has a nice selection, but Artech is the least expensive. It's a Mom and Pop racing supply company with the best prices on nearly everything. Absolutely get padded. Padding is a must! I wonder who's winning! Hurry up and post the results. Hey Doug, what's your real name anyway?

    Doug vs. Jeff

Suck it up and get in a speed suit, Doug. It'll peal off about a second. You know Jeff will try to beat you using fluorowax. You don't need a sports psychologist - JUST GO FAST
  8. Atomic, after all of this, you better not no-show.
  9. It's an improvement pattern - what could be better?

    Doug vs. Jeff

Let's make an honest man out of Atomic this year, and make him use his real name. You have to use your real name at ASRA, Atomic... everyone knows everyone. Hey, yeah, let 'em go in speed suits too. I'm about a second faster when I strip. It makes a huge difference if you want to beat someone.

    Doug vs. Jeff

I'd race you, adjusted for age and gender. Or, I can race against your mother instead.

    Doug vs. Jeff

Great. Prove me wrong - if nothing else, it'll keep Atomic on his toes.
  13. If it's free, and you happen to be there, why not? Not much to lose. He is an excellent skier - and fast. Even better if you are a female on the prowl.
  14. Any chance her school will take her on as a ski team member now that she has proven herself?

    Doug vs. Jeff

I've never seen Doug ski, but, my money's on Jeff, because of the turning issue.
  16. Joe is admirably fast...on skis that is. I didn't know Joe actually ever taught skiing. Mostly I've seen him amusing targeted clients and attraticve women. It will be interesting to see what happens with this. Any bets on whether this clinic is attended by more women than men?

    Wednesday

NASTAR is cancelled for tonight, 1-3-06 and tomorrow night 1-4-06.
  18. Siblet looks great - she must have had lots of dryland training... Love that speedsuit. I get first dibs on it when she decides to retire it...
  19. Mine were at 7 for racing and 5-6 ski feree skiing, but after my crash at K-Mart, I set them all back down to 5. I doubt I would have clamshelled if they released.

You don't need to be a member to race - it just costs a few dollars more. Nonmembers also don't qualify for prizes for the finals, and maybe not medals either. If you plan to go more than once or twice, it's worth joining.
  21. Pops, CB has a big program (Adaptive) for handicapped skiers - those spots are probably for that program or handicapped family members of skiers.

    Ridge

Ridge is awesome, especially given his experience. I've seen other pics of him with that look of concentration. WAY TO GO!!!!!
  23. Totally awesome, but not unexpected. The Siblet is amazing - All she needed was a little favorable karma to prove herself. Please tell me there were pics... right, Sibby - you took pics????

    TWood

Hopeful. BTW, Tanglwood is slated to be GS/GS And send in membership info NOW. They are too busy on race day to deal with then!
  25. Hey, while you are at it, any of you want to donate your brain to science? You could help both of our businesses. Well, only those who are MENTALLY NORMAL would qualify.
