  1. Live Nation puts on the Warped Tour.
  2. Outside of renting the area to LN, he has nothing to do with the concert venue... My take as someone who isn't his biggest fan, I think he's done so well in all of his businesses that he thinks he'll one day be able to make the ski area/water park work. As soon as LN starts losing money on either Peach or Bisco, they'll stop having events there. That is when the ski area will be on the selling block.
  3. Blissful. The ski area loses money with the waterpark and skiing. They are making money from the LN events and the beer/wine festivals that they are putting on themselves. The actual resort is just a sliver of the owners business. If he is breaking even by allowing LN to host a couple of events, that is all that matters to him.
  4. They get a couple hundred thousand for each event as a rental fee. Then they get to keep 100% of food and beverage that they sell ok their property. $16 beers and a $7 hot dog add up quick.
  5. They make all of their money on the rental fee they charge LN and they keep all F&B profit from their vendors. Both festivals have about 14-17K per day for attendance.
  6. They are only in business because of Live Nation... They could close 350 days out of the year and still make a killing from the two festivals.
  7. Montage- Rattler was built in the sno days. I think some glades on top as well.
  8. Hopefully no kids for quite awhile. We have done the Caribbean and parts of Europe already, so we want to do the honeymoon real big.
  9. Maldives at some point over the next year. Fiancee just started a doctorate program, time off will be difficult to find.
  10. 10 days in 2-3 years and maybe 14 days in 6-7 years. Just not worth it... Yes, weed is legal. The laws for buying edibles are a little weird, but it is better than nothing. Nick and Wolverine are not coming to the wedding. Actually found Nick on Linkedin the other day and we messaged a bit. Haven't seen him in 5 years. Wolverine, not really sure what he is up to, and it has probably been 3-4 years since I have seen him.
  11. Oregon is good. Not a hipster, so there are some things that are pretty shitty, but overall, I enjoy it. As for skiing, no idea, I only got about 10 days in the past 2-3 years. Sold all of my stuff at the beginning of this summer when I moved out here. Extra space in a 1 bedroom apartment that I didn't want to take up.
  12. I'm hoping it stays that way. When we booked this date, I was worried about two things. Potential for 95 degrees and a hurricane... Yeah, 26 and living in Oregon.
  13. Poconos... Seeing some models are pushing it more towards mid Atlantic. Getting married and am worried
  14. Anyone have any idea where this tropical storm is headed this weekend? Need a forecast for Sunday, but cannot find anything yet.
  15. Not their last... They make more than enough money two weekends of the year when they rent the place out to Live Nation.
  16. Actually it looks like my paypal is associated with my college email which no longer works... If you want, I can send and then once I get a new paypal setup you could send or you can just send check/money order.
  17. In scranton, I can send PayPal info when I get Into work (can't remeber at the moment). And I can overnight with UPS at no charge.
  18. I have two JFBB lift ticket vouchers for sale. They are good any time for the whole season. I bought them off a friend for $10 each. Just looking to get my money back as I doubt I'll make it out again. If interested, leave a reply.
  19. Both still need a lot of work. If they don't lose too much before the next cold spell, I could see them both open after 3-4 days of blowing.
  20. Boomer was great today for the first 3/4's of it. Bottom flat half was chunky and felt like rythmns... Cannonball was groomed well except the second headwall.... Park looks just as bad as it did te first day. Only one rail has an actual lip to get on it. Too old to hit anything, but even if I was young, I probably wouldn't hit anything.... Overall, a nice two hours in the morning. Only saw the Lottie between 8:30-10:30, literally didn't see one other person on either a trail or lift while I was there. Liftie somehow changed to Lottie.
  21. For mainline you have to take the lift in the center of the mountain and then skate over. Mainline then turns at the bunny hill and you make your way back to the lift. If the mainline lift was open, I probably would have stayed longer.
  22. My recommendation is not to go up unless you have a pass. I wouldn't pay for the current conditions. Mainline has the best snow, but the lift isn't open. Boomer is all death cookies on the headwall. Whistler had decent snow, but that park looks like it is from the 90's. Took 3 runs and was gone.
  23. That isn't 7 trails. More like 3 and 1/2 if you count the bunny slope.
  24. From the road, it looks like Whistler and Cannonball have enough snow. I'd assume Boomer does as well... I get out of work on Friday at 12 and am thinking about spending the afternoon up there. I want to go up in the morning tomorrow, but have a huge project at work that needs to get done by Friday. Maybe I'll get in a run or two and then go to work. If only there was natural on the ground, I'd be able to ski to work.
  25. I'll keep the Moose alive forever... Nick and I haven't seen each other in a few years, but he reached out about skiing together at some point this winter. I saw Wolverine a few months ago at one of our events, but that was the first time since probably high school.
