i'm curious, what do you have against the freeride program and/or those of us who choose to spend most of our time riding the park? i havent seen you post anything remotely positive in that respect.
-
how much extra do people pay for the park? for those that are in freeriders, which would be the tarrain park's equivalent of racing (as in having someone coach you on technique and whatnot,) they pay $490. the freeride programs dont get to close the parks or pipes. i'm not saying i want to pay that just to ride the park, but for the kids who are in that program and want to learn in a safe, structured environment with coaches, they should be getting more perks than they do. they shouldnt have to deal with the same retards sitting on landings that i do, because i'm not paying extra, whereas they are. to add to what shadows posted about the race team, my favorite thing is when they have razors and raceway closed on a weekend, and then the coaches bring their kids through the park, carving trenches across every landing.

used boots is a terrible idea. if you're gonna drop cash, do it right and get boots that are fit correctly. are you lookin for stuff to ride park mostly, or all mountain? cause if you're just gonna be riding park and need to keep the cost down, get used skis over used boots. your skis are just gonna be dulled down from rails anyway. you can usually find used skis on newschoolers going for like $100, new stuff for under 300. ask anyone who's been skiing for a while and they will tell you how important a properly fitting boot is. check out the message boards after the season is over; chances are some of us will have some gear to dump.

i thought the armada thing was a little more 'legit' than them just sending product?
-
boxes are lame. learn how to slide rails kids.
-
welcome to newschoolers. lets proceed to talk shit on everyone who skis without poles. its especially sweet when you talk shit without having ever tried park riding without poles, if for nothing else than to at least get a perspective on how it affects your skiing. skiing switch - poles = sick.
-
i feel like armada might not like that so much.

that lift should never stop. if you are incompetent enough to not be able to get on a chairlift that's hardly even moving, you don't belong off the school hill. the stupidity of some of the people skiing/riding this weekend amazed me.

the jibpan is not nearly as soft as the weapon
-
and you're kinda retarded. he didnt say that 35 was the biggest. have you ever been there?
-
its not necesarily the softest, but the rossi mini will get your bindings on the nose and tail. for softest, check out the axis jibtastic at nestors. its real soft, cheap, and all white topsheet thats spraypaint/sticker ready.
-
seriously? eww. that rail was amazingly set up before, why would you bother changing it. it was one of the few rails that was actually hard to clean, yet still fun. upward kinks are lame.
-
since i dont snowboard, i dont really understand the benefits of having such a wide stance, but talk to larry at nestors. we've t bolted quite a few boards this season, and i'm sure larry could give you some better insight into how to go about it and what it would gain for you.

i wouldnt call it a pipe, per say; more of an angular ditch that zig zags back and forth.

mountaincreek has started to copy jfbb

you lose. the olin mark IV first came out well over 10 years ago, and the prototype line skis/snowblades and salomon 1080s, as well as the k2 poacher, came out about 96/97. -
they dont open til 3...

Dramatic view of Blue Mt trails from a satelite
Justo8484 replied to Old Geezer's topic in Blue Mountain
sorry to break it to ya, but the images of blue are at least two years old. sidewinder was widened on the bottom portion for last season, and the top portion was widened this season. the wallride was built in the offseason prior to last season, and its not in the satellite image. also, the 6 pack is not there, the old challenge chair is, and there is no addition to the lower lodge that was built this year. images circa 2004-2005 season. -
hence why i would never buy lib skis. i believe drop gloves was another one of those companies back in the day? i'd never buy another pair of drop gloves either, now that i know that, but drop gloves suck anyway. another thing that bugs me about the lib skis is that they refuse to even market or SKU them as skis. they market them as narrow ass snowboards, and they are SKU'd singly, not as a pair. its almost like they know they've shunned the ski area so long, and their snowboard fanbase knows that, but would completely turn on them if they started selling skis, so they claim that they are not really skis.

trevor definately knows whats up. but bear also had one, i believe it was toward the beginning of last season? maybe it was two years ago. if you honestly think creek is copying boulder by building a channel gap, you're retarded. its been done before, and been done much better than boulder's as well. you ever watch a ski or snowboard video in the past few years? i think you might be able to find some shots of blue's from three years ago in some mackdawg video or something, since it was the first one ever built. -
are the skis on a seperate floor from the snowboards? when we had pipedream upstairs in the loft, we were allowed to carry burton's uninc stuff, but now that its down on the same floor as ski stuff, we cant.

Bare Creek sucks...period. Tubing sales at 6:30 bulls**t.
Justo8484 replied to boblikescats's topic in Bear Creek
tubing's lame. i dont need to say any more. -
yup, for the win. austin's my hero

that jump is honestly better than stuff at park city? somehow i doubt that. its definately the best jump bear's had in a very long time, but the tranny is very quick, which makes it more difficult to hit switch, and adding another 10-20 feet of distance wouldnt hurt either. i agree with what someone said above about the flow of it. individually, each feature is nice, but stuff is crammed very close together. it seems like maybe stuff would flow better if there were only two jumps instead of three, that way stuff could be spaced out more?
