  1. does this really come as a surprise... at all?
  2. that clearly makes more sense, dont you think...?
  3. ummm i dunno what sort of crap you're spewing out of your mouth but they were blowing on mainstreet when i passed by blue on my way home tuesday night. also, if you look at the webcam, mainstreet looks to be pretty well covered. maybe you should get your eyes checked?
  4. blue will have a park open. as far as most trails, its not necesarily a fair comparison. sure, boulder will probably have more open, but they're 300 feet long, as opposed to stuff at blue that is over twice that long. so blue might not have as many trails, but the skiing overall is still better.
  5. didnt know anyone actually skied on those things
  6. can we get a stock flat rail, if one exists up there? other than that... flat box, downkink box, mailbox, some kind of large round object to bonk, etc. gaps onto all of the above would be key as well.
  7. yup. i figured i'd be up there enough for comps that it would be worth it.
  8. the season pass validation/lift ticket thing is hands down the biggest pain in the ass i will ever encounter when trying to go ski. it took me almost half an hour to get my pass last night, how long is it going to take to get a lift ticket every time i wanna go ski up there?
  9. thanks. i dont know the names of any of the roads. all i know is go over the covered bridge, turn right at covered bridge inn, stay on that for a while, hang a left after some open grate bridge, stay on there a while, hang left then right real quick, and then some other stuff.
  10. taking back roads you can make it from blue to boulder in under 20 minutes. it usually takes me a little over half an hour to get to boulder, and i live about 10 miles from blue.
  11. so i cant get up there til like 5 on tuesday... and the season pass window at frost is only open til 4. i really do not want to buy a lift ticket if i am getting a season pass, but just can't get it because they only have the pass window open til 4. kinda lame...
  12. K2's come a long way since the axis line was out. yeah, production moved to china, but guess what happened? their production quality improved. bases have a better finish to them, and fewer skis have gone back under warranty. damn those chinese. also, the skis ski significantly better than they did then. if you'd compare the axis xt to the apache crossfire, which is its current model replacement, the two ski pretty differently.
  13. he likes how the weapon rides better?
  14. what shop? most likely, your DIN should be set at 6 according to a DIN chart, but if they didnt adjust the wings, then yeah, thats their bad. for example, i am 6 feet, 160lbs, 315mm bootsole, and type 3+ skier, and my DIN according to the chart is 8.5. if you are shorter than me, lighter than me, or have a different size boot than me, you could end up at a 6. it also depends on if the bindings and boots were brand new or not. if you are pretty sure they werent set up right, take them back to the shop and tell them so.
  15. i totally would have been down if it still had the flames
  16. you realize that ski is like 4 years old now, at least?
  17. i agree, its getting a little excessive. the pretzels were solid but i'm kinda over the 270 on, swithup was many times as you can, 270 out thing on 10 foot boxes
  18. this is interesting, i could have guessed everyone's response before they even posted... but if you're asking about it, then drop the $15 or so and get them checked out. the length of the sole isnt the only difference between your old boots and new ones. if they old ones had some wear to the bottoms, the bindings were adjusted according to that. also, different plastics can be harder or softer than others, which also plays into how the binding might release. $15 is cheap compared to a trip in a heli to the emergency room from a broken leg or torn acl when your binding doesnt release when it should.
  19. they gave you k2 axis for the rail jam...? wow
  20. the comp was limited to 50 total anyway, so it wouldnt really bring that many more people to the mountain. it just sucks cause i arranged my work schedule around the comp to have off next weekend and whatnot.
  21. you sir need to change your username because i thought it was your brother at first, then i saw all that snowboard junk... i hope you're still rockin the neon green boots though
