ride on is pretty sweet... boulder had a few good jumps, but none of the rails really impressed me that much, outside of the oakley jam.

sounds good to me. i know it was tough this past year with snow cause the weather sucked, but when they tried the last two weeks or so, the snow was awesome in the park and it made everything much better. as long as the lights dont flicker on and off anymore, i'll be content.

since theres no chance of the comps getting changed to a weekend day when we can actually see the course, is there any chance they are going to fix the lighting on sidewinder? if the lighting was better and they made better snow that didnt ice up quite as bad, it wouldnt really be a problem to have the comps at night. also, i agree with papa about the categories in bears comp. it sucked last year because there were kids in the novice category that could have placed well in the expert category, but dropped down just to win the easier-to-obtain prizes. obviously give prizes for the lower levels, but save the big prizes for the highest level of competition, otherwise kids have no incentive to push themselves. thats what its about right? comps are supposed to puch your abilities and make you have to work for the prize, it shouldnt be handed over to you because you are so far above and beyond everyone else in your grouping. age categories plus the open division seems like the best bet for this.

thats such a good shot. its nice to have professionals taking pictures of you. i either need to figure out how to get better footage or hire a film crew... option #1 sounds more feasible i think.

props to the kid for getting hooked up and whatnot, its a start, but seriously, DH is right. there's a lot of us here who could get hooked up by companies if we wanted to. Smaller companies are always looking for people to rep them locally, which is what head is obviously doing here. if i was a snowboarder, just from the poublicity this crew has generated, i wouldnt want to ride a head board, because i would be associating head with the crap you guys have pulled. their skis are quality, although they dont really suit my skiing style that well, but making a good ski does not necesarilly correlate to making a good snowboard by any means. personally, i'll pay a little bit extra for gear that i like and know will work well for me than take the hookup from a company i dont really like. i've done it before.

for once, i agree with you doug. i liked the table better too, although the landing wasnt nearly long enough. i think they chose sidewinder because it would be the least missed as a regular trail. its definately not the best trail to have a park on by any means.

persimmon replacements are gonna be aroud 30-40 in a shop, and iridium lenses around 70-80.

about the landings, i think i might have sent this to trevor before, but one of the mods on newschoolers is also a top notch park groomer, and decided to grace us with his words of wisdom. http://www.newschoolers.com/ns3/web/conten...6&hide_header=& he explains his whole process basically. seems like 30-34 degrees is the best for landings. any idea what you guys had last year, i'm just curious?

ahh you were just leaving when we were just getting there! we were there 2nd week of may, and it was amazing. we got a foot the first day, with blue skys the rest of the time. we only really skied the BC stuff the first 3 days, since after that it got too warm and heavy. the rest of the trip was mostly park riding, which was also sick. i need to get un-lazy and finish editing the video and post some pics for you to all drool over.

so ridge is finally starting to see the light eh?

forgot to say this before, but bring back the stepups. the one you made two years ago on the right side of the trail, where the c box was most of this year, was super fun, and the one you put before the up flat on the first section of the trail was really fun, although a little small. the lip on that jump was nice and smooth and didnt toss you into orbit quite like the others did. also, i think it scared kids because if you came up short, you got stuck in the nice ditch in the middle.

keith, i think the best thing you could do to improve blue's park is, unfortunately, not really in your hands. the last two weeks of the season or so, it seemed like they were blowing much dryer, softer snow. if they could start making nicer snow sooner in the season, like after they have their base of icy shit down, then coat that with the softer stuff, it would improve things times ten. the lips were better maintained towards the end of the year, i'm guessing because the snow was actually workable. you could also set an edge on the in runs too, which was nice. other than that, like trevor said, just tweak the jumps a bit. in whistler, the lips were just as high as the stuff you guys built, but the transition was much longer and smoother, so it wasnt such and abrupt change. it gave you more time to set your rotation and whatnot. also, longer steeper landings, but that shouldnt be too hard to do once the changes are made to the trail. keep up the good work!

nah, someone elsewhere is claiming that the whole world should convert to christianity; i think that takes it.

i know he asked how much. since the fee is based on how long the process takes, i dont know how much it would end up costing. sorry if i didnt really make that too clear.

fujatives are a straight up park ski... if you want something with decent all mtn performance, spend the extra cash and get a pair of PEs. if you're set on the fujatives, i wouldnt even consider mounting them any less than +2 or +3. k2's mounting point is 2/3 back from the tip of the ski, and not necesarily at the narrowest point of the ski. its different for each size, obviously, but on the twin tips, mounting from +2 to +4 will put you over the narrowest point of the ski, where the ski will give you the best all mtn performance. mounting a fujative true center could put your toe piece off the binding mat, which might compromise the strength of the mount, but again, it depends on the size of the ski.

sorry, i dont know how long it takes to do a custom fit for a snowboard boot, so i couldnt really tell you...
-
any chance we can get some tables or other non-stepdown jumps for next year as well?
-
haha we know. no disrespect to nips whatsoever though, cause he's sick too.

sports authority no less...

choice of music totally depends on who you're trying to sell yourself to, and what kind of image you're trying to portray. something like 50 cent might bot be the best bet since you arent really a super gangster, but a little upbeat hip hop with some good flow to it would suit your riding style well i think. to me, that sort of music seems to better represent nipples' skiing.

Berman is better than editing then me so check out his new trailer

by far the sickest ski movie trailer i've seen yet. better urban stuff than i've seen elsewhere, and the backcountry kickers and whatnot werent just your standard kicker into wide open powder field every shot. that shot with the kicker through the trees looked really good. and the stepup to tree tap 180 out looked pretty fun too. -
if you know what you want, and 32 works best for you, then by all means go that route. i'm glad you're not one of the kids that will be pissed when they find out it actually costs money to get custom work done to your boots. good luck with finding a pair though. talk to larry for your boot work when you come in.
-
come on dorsey! nipples is a gangster! but regardless of the music, its lookin good. i wish i was that good at 12, but then again, terrain parks didnt exist then. work on the spins out of rails and you're set!

sounds like stefan... same thing happened to us a few years back. it sucks, because i love line as a company, and their product really works well for my style of skiing. i think i'm gonna be on the invaders and a pair of prophet 90's next year.
