tretiak, who are you referring to? there's a couple different people interested. one is already part owner, wanting to buy out the rest of the shares, and one is an outside party, wanting to buy the majority shares. other than that, there may be other parties interested that i am not sure of. if you care about the way the place is run, you want the part owner to buy out the rest of the shares though, thats for sure...

who is this frontflip boy and why does he always win with such a crappy trick? maybe thats what it takes, front flip drop into the pipe, front flip off every single box and rail, i gotta learn how to huck myself and look stupid like that.

a bunch of us are gonna be in VT next week...
-
^you're not the only one it happened to...skier's 3rd place lost a ski and fell, but still podiumed.
-
john i will fly to europe and murder you if its closed. we were gonna film that day.
-
haha julia's all over the place now

any word on the setup for the slopestyle? are you planning on redoing sidewinder for it or keeping the layour gererally the same? it would be sick if we could get some more comps next year instead of just the one big fling at the end of the year. i'm excited for the rail jam, should be a good time!

sucks your going on a 5 million hour plane flight just to kick a ball around with some guys who wear short shorts and speak with a dumb accent...
-
i was unofficially told that the course will be from the up flat rail to the 70/40 option, so yeah, the moneybooter is fair game i guess. i've only seen two people actually do anything off of it though.

slopestyle should be a good time! i'm excited!
-
yeah, kev's competing in it. i'm not quite solid enough on jumps to hold my own in that comp. a few other kids from my crew are doing it as well, so blue's gonna be well represented. it shoud be a good time. slopestyle is going to be on sidewinder only, most likely from the up flat rail to the 70 footer, since the first headwall gets super windy and is really unpredictable sometimes.
-
yeah its spring break. we're going to killy and okemo during the week, then stratton on saturday for the YGO
-
i'll be at blue saturday and sunday, maybe friday if my shins are feeling up to it. not sure whether i am going to do skiercross or not yet; we might skip that and film in the park all day, then do slopestyle sunday, then its off to vermont for a week for me!
-
rail jam is going to be on vista right in front of the lodge, from what i have been told, so it will be very spectator friendly

some of boulder is cool. like shane and the other park crew kid who looks like jack osbourne. and the 40 foot rail when its set up correctly. other than that, boulder pretty much sucks. that announcer guy needs to get his head out of his ass and realize blue was in better shape than boulder was while he was claiming boulder had more snow and better setups.
-
^ agreed. skiers 50-50ing a box looks rediculous and doesnt require all too much skill. i cant comment on the skill part while snowboarding, since i dont snowboard, but it looks just as pitiful when a snowboarder 50-50s a box as it does when a skier does one, unless you are spinning onto the box. the rail doesnt look all that hard to me, i've done harder, but its the lip that makes it near impossible for anyone to clean the thing without 50-50ing at least the first portion of it.
-
once and for all, i didnt say that i couldnt do them. i could, and did, but i would have preferred some variety. the first down box once you get into the park, the one on the left, was set up street style and that was probably my favorite feature there. you dont need speed, you just need to pop. i was creeping into that thing and cleaning it no problem. it just gets old when every rail is set up like that. it also didnt help that i cased a jump hardcore the night before and couldnt even flex my boots my shins were busted up so bad.

i think pete did cork 7 mute, misty, and cab 5?

i'm not gonna deny that creek's rails are immaculate in their construction, but the way they are set up, i just dont find to be that much fun when every rail is like that. i realize its the east coast, but out of everywhere i've ridden this year (blue, bear, shawnee, boulder, killington, and creek), mountain creek was my least favorite.
-
cause i was in the comp, and one would assume that, for a comp, the park would be top notch.
-
dont blame the fact that you fell on everything in your comp run entirely on yourself, you werent the only one it happened to. that course got insanely icy by comp time. i cased one of the jumps during practice, killing my shins. i felt like such a beginner, i couldnt even ski well it hurt so bad. judging sucked, as it usually does at boulder. kids skis fell off, kids didnt grab, and they still got podium, when others threw harder tricks with grabs and didnt fall, and didnt podium. the crappiest part about it was that they couldnt even let us look at the score sheets to see how it all played out the way it did. so no props to boulder on that one for sure. the park would have been sick if it wasnt a solid sheet of ice, so that announcer guy needs to get his head out of his ass and stop claiming they have the best conditions around, cause its just not true sometimes. the little asian girl is gonna blow up, i'm callin it now. she slid bear's u box on thursday night, and went for a 3 over one of the jumps.

definately not one of the better days at blue this year. the park was rock hard and the wind was blowing so hard we were actually getting blown off of rails. doug, you're right, the new rail does look like a work of art. i'm an art major, i get to look at enough artwork in school, i dont need to see it on the mountain. that thing would be 5 million times better if it was either half as tall or twice as long. the transition looks deadly. i need to get my shins back in skiing shape again; i can't even flex my boots right now.
-
i'll wait to hit that thing til they get a real lip on it. and about those stupid caution poles; i make a point of ripping them out of the ground when they are even remotely in the way. if you need a sign to realize there's a feature somewhere, then please, do us all a favor, and get out of the park.

Doug and Atomic Jeff almost got kicked out!

why be on ski patrol when you dont even get paid? unless you need volunteer hours for high school or something, i dont see the point. there are plenty of other ways to get a pass and discounts on everything. -
oh boy that thing is interesting. i'll hit it once its actually set up correctly.
