the bootfit garantee is that if the boot doesnt fit, we do whatever we need to to make it fit, you just have to pay for materials costs, like extra pads and crap, that you would have to put in any boot to get it to fit. very rarely does a boot fit someone's foot perfectly right off the wall for it's whole life. thats why we have the garantee. paying $5 for some pads instead of $500 for some new boots seems like a fair deal to me.

saying you hate pow is blasphemous. there's no better feeling than ripping down a trail with a foot of fresh on it. plus, fresh snow opens up so many opportunities at blue that few people know about. tree skiing, cliffs, all sorts of fun stuff know one knows is there.

you can remold lange's new boots everytime you go out and ride if really wanted to, the new liner is essentially limitless in how many times it can be remolded, since its not "foam" in the conventional boot liner sense. adrian, the toe cap thing isnt really an issue with ski boots, as most of them now have a neoprene toebox that stretches to accomidate the foot.

yeah it doesnt matter which store you bought them in, just bring them back to whichever store is more convenient for you.

we have a bootfit garantee on any boot we sell for the whole season. when you say you have pain in your arch, is it on top of your foot or the bottom? it sounds like either you are buckling the boot too tight over the top of your foot or the boot is actually a little too big and you have a prominant arch, which, along with your toes, is hitting when your foot slides forward inside the boot. in either case, bring them into the shop and we'd be glad to check them out and rectify the problem for you.

subarus are the only way to roll. 3 out of the 4 cars in my family are subarus, and my mom's outback is as good in the snow as my dad's explorer until the snow gets to be up to the bumper. wide tires in snow = death. i rock super ghetto skinny studded tires on the front of my car (its a '90, before subaru had awd on all their cars) and i pass SUVs stuck on the side of the road on a regular basis.

a heel lift will get you farther forward on the ski, unless you are really sitting back, in which case it would put more pressure on the tails. skiing in softer snow, you can, and ofter do need to sit back more, which could be why sib is noticing the tails being a little too grippy.

sounds like the dr scholls might have a little too much material in the forefoot, cutting off your ciculation.

it looks like they are blowing down by the quad right now, so who knows?

footbeds are probably the best money you can spend on equipment. after all, they give you a solid foundation for your feet, and thats where everything stems from. if your feet are not sitting properly in your boots, you can have all sorts of problems. the performance difference is huge too. you will be much more balanced and your skis will respond quicker. at nestors we charge $125 with the purchase of a new boot or $150 without a new boot, which sounds like a lot, but it really is totally worth it. I can't ski without them anymore since i have had them. if you get them, try them out and dont like them, we have a full money back garantee on them, so theres really nothing to lose.

its funny, for someone who was talking a lot of crap on some of the skiers that were there that day, bam is a pretty lousy snowboarder. -
good to see that someone at blue cares. wanna make us happy and put a box or a rail or something out for us to play on for friday? otherwise i'm just gonna have to build stuff and almost lose my pass on opening day for the second year in a row. p.s. if there is a snowmaking mound slightly off to the right of the top of mainstreet, like their was last year, please leave it there...

dorsey, just talk to andy, or mary, or chuck. i'm sure they'd be all for it, the only problem you might run into is using up their bandwidth with video if a lot of people watch it. i dont know what their hosting allows though, so dont hold me to that.

if rountop is cosidered local, my statement still stands. ben's cork 9 tail is propably the best looking, smoothest trick i have ever seen anyone from around here land. oh yeah, alleyoop 5 critical on the QP was pretty solid too. boyer and andy have way more balls than most people too. we had a rail session the other night on a flat down box, double switch up 270 out, blindside switchup 450 out, nollie on 270 out, just to name a few tricks that people did. we can hold our own.

the talent is well above that of any other local comp, thats for sure. and the judges are actually fair. chuck does a good job running the show there.

in the past they have charged i believe $15 for opening day when they just had mainstreet open, so hopefully thats the case. its a ripoff for sure if they charge full price. if they open, i'll be there more or less all day, or until i get tired and/or bored. i really think they can hold the snow through the warmup this week, the piles on mainstreet are about 10 feet high and there was non grass showing through as of this afternoon.

looks like a solid bet to me. i dont know much about that ski in particular, but the bindings will certainly work well for her. did you get the set with the carve plate or no? the skis look like they are in the monster line, which is designed to go anywhere and do everything on the mountain, so i think she's in good shape.

they really fell behind on this one. everywhere else has been making snow all week. blue could be open tomorrow if they wanted to be. -
top to bottom in 2 minutes isnt really too much of a challenge at all.
-
howard head used a honeycomb core in his first skis way back in the day, like the 50s, so he wins. then hexcel did it again with an aluminum honeycomb in the 80s, so palmer loses again. they may have done it first in a snowboard though.
-
back in the day when i was a minority for being a skier in the park, they did play music. blue seemed to be a lot more open to new things in the past.

that man was a nut, for sure... but abou the waxing stuff, i am not so sure how liquid soap works, but in a pinch, a bar of soap will work, but it wears off quickly and leaves your bases really dry.
-
whats with railjams and crappy metal music lately? the guys playing at roundtop were awful, all i heard them scream was "my dog is bleeding" or something. how can you ride to that?
-
the day blue closes due to too much snow is the day i get on the phone to make some calls to friends with snowmobiles...

where are you going to school? i'm in philly, and its equally painful, but i at least have my car so i can drive to bear when i am done with classes for the day.
