RNO > SEA > PHL red eye on the way home

If they close the 13th I will hope off my flight home from Tahoe and book it straight to the lower lot. Jet lagged for sure, and I probably won't have beer, but I won't miss a blue closing day if I can help it!

http://www.firsttracksonline.com/images/snowbasin11.jpg The face immediately to the left of the tram in this photo is what I'm referring to. We skied it with a bit more snow than in the photo.
-
bro, I'm so much sicker than you

Leaving on Tuesday. Stoked!
-
those are fun but no, I meant off the top of John Paul tram by the downhill course
-
Dropping in off the left side of the tram after a short little boot pack is a fun chute, how was the snow looking in there?
-
mineral is all south-ish facing with easy access to most everything in it, with everything on display from the lift. It gets baked and skied off very quickly. There's some fun terrain, but I've always found better snow elsewhere.

you're wrong

probably about 6 or 7 years old. Tricks are for kids.

Wow that guy looks good!

Rear entry?! Get yourself some new boots before the toe box snaps off!
-
anyone hiking the ridge off wildcat and hitting tree jump?
-
I was just there last night. That place is one warm day and a good rain away from being pretty brown.

What sucks about any beef that ever occurs on this site is that it's almost always between a newish poster and Doug, inevitably leading the new poster to leave. At least on tgr and ns, it's equal opportunity hate.

Are they doing this thing on upper school hill again?!

30 laps at bear! That's dedication! I don't blame you for staying away from Sasquatch, that trail is goofy. I don't think I've ever skied anything anywhere else with such a weird fall line. It's short, but if the snow on it isn't good, it really kinda sucks.

Ya that was me parked next to you. We got there late, around noon or so after going for brunch up in lake harmony for a friend's bday. Skied til about 230 when Rose's toes were about ready to fall off. Snow was still awesome on trail, pretty much skied right on to every lift ride except the Main Street double. I dunno what happened in the woods but there were large chunks all over the place and the right side of lazy has turned into a bobsled track/pinball alley. Pretty good day, frigid temps aside!

Yeah, blue's saving grace on tunes is the quick turn around. Dropped a pair off at D&Q Monday night and they said they'd be done in a week, but the dude who runs their backshop is the wintersteiger tech for the region, and they're a little cheaper than blue. Blue had been hit or miss. Make sure they actually run your skis over the diamond stone and don't just do a base grind without structuring the bases.

Park at the Matterhorn on your drive up and catch the shuttle to the mountain. When you're done skiing for the day and ready to apres harder than you ever have before, ski the Bruce trail back to the Matterhorn!

Yeah, farmers cabinet had a whole host of issues. The food was decent, they hired some of the best bartenders in the city, but there was definitely a rodent problem. They did a lot of shady stuff with their liquor license and just general poor money management.

fiume is awesome, and a little bit disconcerting when you're walking through the weird Ethiopian restaurant/living room on the first floor.

mcglincheys is disgusting, but if you smoke, I guess it makes sense why you'd go there

If you do wanna do yards, call ahead about brewery tours. Not sure what times they normally do them, I arranged a private tour for toast's bachelor party so we weren't standing around waiting for room to get in or anything.
