  1. i thought you meant skiing ability. But yeah, I'm the best skier on the mountain so I should be fine.
  2. this almost makes me wanna go to Jackson to see if I can hang!
  3. no need to round them off, the lips just need to be steep. Short, poppy jumps are much easier to hit sweet spot on than long mellow ones.
  4. He just looks happy to have sighted the mythical grizzlycorn
  5. there are no jumps yet, just piles that will be landings. I hope they make the lips appropriately steep to match those landings. If not, there's not gonna be much margin for error. Rail setups are pretty fun right now, especially central. That new dfd is awesome.
  6. dude in the red pants looks like he's killin it in the bumps...
  7. might have to hit up that tele demo on Saturday so I can free my heel and free my mind.
  8. might have to hit up that tele demo on Saturday so I can free my heel and free my mind.
  9. Might check out the subi action on Sunday before the changeover to rain
  10. meh I'll take no precip over rain any day right now.
  11. that blip the past weekend in January's gone now? I was hoping something was gonna pan out for the infamous snorövr's triumphant return to blue.
  12. px heel is waaaaay easier to adjust with a hex than a pozi/Phillips. It's tough to get enough torque once you start getting close to double digits.
  13. speaking of the waymaker, atomic' new AT lineup looks sick. Their lead boot engineer posts on newschoolers pretty regularly and has been leaking next years stuff. WTR soles and compatible toes are gonna be everywhere in the next year or two. New pivots have a wtr-compatible toe for next year too. speaking of the waymaker, atomic' new AT lineup looks sick. 14. hawx 110? Did you drop down a size that you need to get your bindings adjusted, or are they just running a binding check?
  15. what the heck is goin on under the hood of your car that that's even a consideration?
  16. Surfing cookies is pretty accurate for dreamweaver. We got nightmare right as they opened it up. Cookie feast as usual, but the right side off trail was soft and smooth fresh blown snow, which was much more appealing than the groomed junk. Bumps were pretty fun. Definitely a different challenge than they've been, they felt much more like western bumps with a bit of variability to them. Also, how the heck can freshly groomed trails like dreamweaver be so ridiculously bad when it was in the single digits when they were blowing on it? Everything else was awesome, but it seems like the first day they open any trail, it's garbage.
  17. huh? It's not. I've skied SL skis on main plenty of times. No steeper than raceway head wall or razorback/razors 2nd head wall, and they have slalom races there.
  18. different skis require different lengths. Jeff's SL skis would be borderline unskiable in a 180 or 190 something length. Also, 315mm bootsole. Sounds like it's demo weekend!
  19. theres gotta be a good story behind this
  20. Would not surprise me at all to have something set up down low in a day or two
  21. I don't think you quoted who you think you quoted. Tarpon's a good dude, and his post was also pretty spot on about the goings-on at blue.
  22. the concept of in bounds vs out of bounds is a bit different in Europe. The only stuff that really gets avy work is anything that will impact groomers, from my understanding. Since what they skied wouldn't run out to a groomer if it slid, it got no avy work, even though it isn't what we'd consider 'out of bounds' here. The debris pile was 3-4 meters deep, I dunno how much a beacon would have helped if they were buried under 12 feet of compacted snow, sadly. Just a shitty, freak accident.
  23. why do you think they were blowing challenge? So they can open razors, obviously.
  24. interesting indeed. That could be quite useful late January/early February when blue is swamped.
