  1. I've seen a few naps happen
  2. fo realz! If that shack was open before 8, I might be on time for opening one of these days.
  3. skied them around 10ish and did a few laps? A nights worth of snowmaking would have done wonders, no amount of skiing them in would make them better with how slick they were, as far as I could tell. Lookin like Saturday is shaping up to be a glorious day of ripping bump and park laps though!
  4. while I've definitely seen the good season != late closing in the past, I'd like to think that a profitable season would
  5. I will be really, really disappointed if the 30th is closing day and they still have complete coverage and tons of snow. This weekend was the busiest march weekend I can remember; they've gotta still be turning a good profit.
  6. I thought Barney's was terrible yesterday, compared to what they've been. I think they need to do more than one night of snowmaking after reseeding when they're that small. You'd just pick up tons of speed without the larger faces to more easily control speed.
  7. likewise, as long as it's after blue closes and there's not a better option.

    Mexicans skiing, huh?
  9. Man you guys missed out on the back shop at Nestor's. Pretty much every Lange girl poster since the store opened.
  10. out of curiosity, what were conditions like at basin that the Seth's didn't work out? I skied knee deep at basin on my old Seth's and they killed it til we got into some choppier hairier stuff where a bit more stiffness would have been nice, hence the Jeffrey. The Seth's killed it in deep, soft, mellower stuff though.
  11. They're totally changing the Jeffrey next year, it's going more pow oriented compared to mine. The kartel is kinda taking the place of the jeronimo and old Jeffrey as an all mtn park ski and freestyle pow ski, respectively. The 98 was the one I figured might be along the lines he's thinking here. 20.5 in a 181, 21.1 in a 186. That's pretty well in line with what a 184 PE would be, hypothetically.
  12. DO NOT get the press as an all mountain ski. It is a noodle. Seriously, if you like the PEs, at least look into some of ON3Ps offerings. I'd let you ski my jeffreys, but they're mounted with pivots for a 315 boot sole, so there's not a chance your boots will fit unfortunately.
  13. if he's looking for something softer than PEs, the prophet 98 isn't the ski. The k2 shredditor 102: http://k2skis.com/skis/mens/shreditor-102 On3p kartel 98: medium flex jibby all mountain ski with a approx. 19-20m radius in the longest size, not out til next year http://on3p-ski-company.tumblr.com/post/75112805494/this-one-maybe-the-most-anticipated-kartel-98
  14. As a bonus, with the 6 being broken, you can rip the lift like without fear of being spotted from above!
  15. all it is is an oddly shaped snow tube really
  16. can't write a story about the Olympics without mentioning Shaun white!
  17. i've been there plenty of times in the spring, but never mid season. sounds like you know what's up. have you ever stayed in creekside before? also, you should scope out air jordan... it's this little drop up near whistler peak http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3xvgFjkflA&noredirect=1
  18. pretty accurate. Nothing really negative about the terrain or the skiing, at least compared to other local areas. I've just had a lot of issues with the place from a customer service standpoint that leave me pretty bitter about it, nothing against their parks or anything like that.
  19. i'd like to think things are in better shape for the winter now that they've been running the lifts and facilities all summer for the bike park?
  20. exactly my point. We got straight gnarly.
  21. This has a name? Toast and I did this every winter of our childhood. I never landed a backflip, but definitely did 360s and barrel rolls. How we never really got injured, I don't know
  22. No desire at all to go to camelback, but props to you guys for switching things up regularly and keeping the masses updated.
  23. Round 2: parking lot to powerline tomorrow?
  24. henrik is the man. Also, nose butter triple cork 1620... W T F that trick was absurd
  25. The water park at blue is for year round revenue stream in order to get financing for a hotel. I thought that was pretty common knowledge at this point.
